Huh. Lucky us! I was hoping it would all be moving to the new facility in Branch Avenue but I suppose that’s all been out on hold. I believe the building is basically ready. They were all moving there in April. But it never happened and now who knows when it will. But that’s down the road from me, and we can only hope it improves the area’s overall performance.

    Hey Adam

Did you go to your timeline and update Potomac? It appears in the dropdown now whereas before it didn't

hey, I had requested the VJ admin to add Potomac and all the other service centers into the Lifting conditions timeline entry form and they did so a few weeks or so ago. so hopefully we would be able to see some kind of stats going forward.

Thank you...I updated my timeline since Potomac is now in the dropdown

I have a YSC case. Updated to “fingerprints were taken” on May 13th. Not expecting to hear much more until At least Christmas, looking at overall processing times. Doesn’t stop me checking regularly though 🙂. Hope you get some news soon.

Same day ours was changed to "Fingerprints" and Potomac as well, I am certain we are in for the long haul

Mine too! As I read your post I thought I would check and sure enough something is coming today.

That is what prompted me to ask the question I saw the informed delivery. I am on the road for work and won't get the mail until Friday, so I was curious. If someone might validate that for me I would greatly appreciate it.

  4. My wife went to attempt to complete her medical and the lady in the office told us that the process changed in August 2016, but as an example her office didn't receive the email with change instructions, forms etc.. until December 2016. That might have been what happened with my wife's medical, possibly the office in Haiti didn't have the info since her original appointment was in December. Thus we paid the 260.00 for new form and exam. One other note about her vaccinations, she had the influenza at the original appointment but it is a seasonal vaccination so they required her to get the flu shot. More to come...

My experience, in CA, was that they make you pay to walk in and do the gonorrhea test, and then they charge you per vaccine that you need. I didn't need any vaccines because I got them all through my insurance (Kaiser) so I just presented a vaccination record. If you have the vaccination record and it's up to date, you should be able to pay "only" for the visit ($200) so make sure you bring the record! The cheapest I found here was $150 (that's what I payed) but I called all the offices in my area to check the prices. Also, for the vaccines I didn't get with Kaiser, i.e. all the vaccines I got as a baby and didn't have a record for, I got an immunization test (blood test) at Kaiser to prove I had them.

I hope this helps, I'm sorry you'll have to pay for this again :/

I was hoping it is for the G test only but I don't think it is clear, it would be only like 200 for that, that would be the best case scenario.

That's so expensive. So you need to redo the whole medical because of the gonorrhea screening only? I had my medical in October 2016 and I actually did have a gonorrhea test and I think they had just started to require it, those in September didn't need to have it.

We are going to the doctor on Wednesday to hopefully plead our case, if need be, and see if the Dr's interpretation is only the G test, her vaccinations are complete. I am not sure there is anyone I can call to receive clarification. If only the G test I think they want 200 here for that, but it would be nice to know what they need so I can shop around.

    When was your medical?

December 22nd 2016...she entered on Feb 10 2017 and we submitted with our I-485 and they received that on May 01 2017. There appears that during that process there was a new form that specifically has a check box for Gonorrhea Screening results. Anyway, in South Florida it appears to be 300 to walk in the door of the Civil Surgeon.

    Hey everyone!

I just thought to drop an update that we had our interview today and got approved shortly after the interview. Although the officer told us that we'd hear from them in the next few weeks, I received the status update sms in about 30 minutes after the interview. I'd post a detailed account of the interview soon. For those of you still waiting, hang in there!

    Cheers! :D

Congrats. We had our interview yesterday and were only told she needed to review the file and we would receive something in the mail. Hopefully, it wont be too long to receive approval.

Do you personally think it went well? Would that mean they will be sending you an RFE? Just seems kind of strange they wouldn't give you a more detailed answer.

We had evidence and plenty of photos. The questioning appeared normal but the IO was very difficult to read. She didn't mention needing anything more. Took photo of my wife and fingerprints, then interviewed her, normal questions. It wasn't bad or wasn't good, very indifferent. She asked all of the yes/no questions from the application. She ask for any evidence we brought with us, I gave her the normal joint items and insurances, beneficiaries etc... I told her we had a photo album and she appeared to enjoy looking at it as we explained the photos. She asked for three photos to keep for the file. After about 30 minutes she said I need to finish reviewing the file you will receive a mail. She asked if we had any questions. I asked her if she need anything more and she said no.
