  1. I would like to keep this pretty simple because I am on top of the world and do not come on here often anymore... Today I got a NOA Approval for the removal of my conditions on my greencard. I am in a way better place and mindset compared to Summer 2019 when I was charged with a Misdemeanor DUI. I am so thankful to have all the support and love from my new family and wife during the trying times and that nothing has ended up worse. One life lesson I've learned is that no matter how bad things seem there's always someone going through something worse so stay appreciative, always strive to help and teach others to keep them from making your mistakes. If you are depressed please seek help and try to grow as a person.

hello. to those who received their interview notice or got interviewed for AOS already. my interview notice says you must bring: completed form i-693 medical exam/vaccine (unless submitted) i remember submitting my vaccine form that i got from my medical for fiance visa with my application. is that considered? or i need to complete the form i-693 and see a civil surgeon?

If you have already completed your medical and submitted it when you did your K1 you should not have to re do your medical in the USA.

We got an approval for our I485 yesterday,I assume the card will follow a few days later?   The EAD/AP card is invalid after the green card is issued?   Strange how these people work,we were told we would not hear anything about the I485 decision until April...

Talked to a Tier 2 Agent all I've been told is to wait again. It's been well over 90 days of processing. I could apply for a AB-60 license but they're basically for illegal immigrants here and as much as they say no one will judge you for it I feel like I would be wrongfully classified.

  5. Hey question does anyone have an idea what is happening with me? I filed for EAD AP AOS on June 23, 2017 did my biometrics on July 21, 2017 have not heard anything about my case. Called Customer Service just put in my second inquiry into my EAD/AP and told to wait another 30 days for a reply then book an info pass appt. WELL looks like I'm in the same boat haven't got nothing :)

  6. I have as well visited frequently back then my girlfriend I would say about 4 times in 6 months I got questioned and put into secondary inspection but never had any issue with getting. I have never carried anything relating to my ties to Canada just told them what they wanted to know. Good luck.^_^

  7. On Sunday, April 29, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. (Washington, DC time), CEAC will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. Users will not be able to access any of the CEAC forms including DS-160, DS-260; pay fees; or check status. Maintenance is expected to be completed by 9 PM, but payments will not be accepted until 11:59 p.m. due to a Pay.gov outage. Thank you for your understanding.

Congratulations!! So exciting. I never thought I would say living in Manitoba is sucky but it is for immigration purposes. My plan when the time comes is to fly to Montreal and have my medical and then a week later my interview and fly home. I plan on staying at an airbnb seems to be lots in Montreal around the consulate for a decent price. My Mum has offered to pay the airbnb for me which is soooo nice financially. Although she may come with me since neither of us has been to Montreal we plan on some sightseeing. Might as well make the best of it.

Nice Congratulations to you as well! I planned on doing that as well but when I called the Montreal medical office they said they were all booked until my interview date and to go book one with someone else so changed my plans a bit but it has all worked out so far ^_^ fingers crossed it continues. Keep me updated on how it goes and best of luck!

Show up early (not too early though, 20-30 minutes seems to be the recommendation on this site). Don't bring a backpack or any type of bags as you can't bring them in, and expect to leave your phone with security downstairs. Enjoy the view from the waiting area, it's great, and best of luck!

Thank you so much! The same to you!

Congratulations on your journey! It can be very financially and emotionally draining towards the end getting where you need to be, I was from Alberta and found this very trying at the time.

You said you're planning to drive? The trek across northern Ontario is long and tiring, and the police enforce the speed limit of 90kph quite strictly. Might I suggest checking flight prices daily until you have to commit to it? I was able to round trip YYC to Montreal for just under $600 in January. Transportation from the airport in Montreal to downtown is cheap ($10 for a 24hr bus pass), and you may be able to find accommodation on AirBNB for a reasonable price (I managed $50/night, just a 10 minute walk to the consulate). Montreal is a beautiful and unique city and could make a fun mini vacation if your fiance is wanting to come out too. Feel free to contact me if you would like any pointers.

Thank you haha no I drove for the medical to Bc already booked a flight to Montreal roundtrip from YEG for $550 I have family there that I will be staying with and the consulate is a block away from where they work so I will be going with them.Thank you so much though a little nervous for this interview don't want to mess anything up.
