  4. I have some questions on the interview requirements:

    1. I did not go to the utility companies and have my wifes name put on the utility bills - is this absolutly required??

    2. I purchased a car for her and put it in her name only, (as a gift), but its registered at our home address.

    3. The automobile insurance cards have both names.

    4. I purchased health insurance for her, (I am currently covered under COBRA), but the statments show our home address.

    5. I put my home into a trust several years ago, and I have made her beneficiary of the trust and I have that original document and a copy.

    6. We have a joint bank account, checks with both our names on them, statements with both names etc.

    7. Marriage Certificate

    8. Photos from the wedding

    9. Birth certificates

    10. Someone suggested I get a letter form a neighbor stating how long he has known me and that he has personal knowledge that we are married and living together as husband and wife.

    11. We have tons of photos from vacations, family events etc.

    12. Other things that the I-9797C asks for like tax returns etc have already been sent and also I have more copies and originals.

Is this going to be enough? Any suggestions?

  5. Therefore, based on this notice, I just need to submit I864 and I864A w/ 2006 tax return and employement letters again. No any other forms required, right ?

I would just send them what you have NOT already sent. I'd include a cover letter stating what was already sent, and what you are sending now is a supplement. I don't think sending them the same information over again will help, it appears they only want some things that you did NOT already send.

I don't think there would be any great harm in sending duplicate information, but if you don't find the items you failed to send the first time and send those, then you might be looking at more delays.

  6. Hi ! I just replied to my RFE asking for W2s and 1099s and mentioning the tax transcripts again? This time i sent them all the pages against the 2 pages for the 3 years of tax returns. My question or sudden doubt is we sent the copies of the transcripts obtained online as my husband filed it online. is it okay???

I think I'd make this a sepreate topic on the main forum. As I understand it, copies of returns that were filed online won't do, so I ordered transcripts from the IRS. I did it over the phone on an automated system and it only took about a week to get them.

  7. I just checked the A# on the NOA2 and the visa are both the same.

I wish my wife's was the same. Also when looking at the I-94 you can see where the customs officer started to write A088 and then changed it to A099 which is on her visa. I think he was too lazy to say something to his supervisor and just went by the alien number on the visa. I now wonder if when he looked her up in the computer that he noticed that the numbers didn't match and just didn't say anything.

I feel a migraine coming on!!!!:wacko: I called back to the Manila Embassy but they just keep on passing me around from one extension to another. I definitely got the feeling that they don't want to address their mistake.

    Charlie

Charlie... I would not even worry about it - I bet its just a typo on the visa that noone will ever even notice. Pretend you never discovered it :P (That's what I'd do!). Look at my wifes visa above, they did not even put the A number on there - its probably not even necessary.

    Bill

  8. My wife and stepdaughter's A numbers do not appear on the visa at all.. just a 'controll number" and some numbers encoded along the bottom of the visa...

Look below where it says annotation. You should see your name and address and then below that is the alien number starting with the letter A, followed by 9 numbers. It is not the red number to the right of this.

    Charlie

I know the A number appears on documents we have received from USCIS in the past, but I still don't see it on the visa. I am going to try to put a copy here... lets see if it is readable:

  9. Hi you all, I got a Request for Initial Evidence I 485, today. After reading it very carefully, I learned that I have to submit all the Affidavit of Support forms again. Specifically, the 2006 tax return. But, I do remember I submitted all necessary forms.

Attached is the letter, and I know it is long, but please read it and please please tell me exactly what I need to mail in again. Thank you very much.post-39326-1189568305_thumb.jpg

My suggestion would be to read everything in that notice carefully. If you already submitted the I-864, and you kept a copy of what you sent, look it and the instructions for the I-846 very carefully and make sure you answered all the questions completely. It appears to me that either you did not send it in or sent it in incomplete or they would not be asking for the I-864.

I got an RFE that only had the language about the taxes, (I had sent them 2003-2005 and a letter from my employer and for 2006 as I had not gotten taxes done yet). Since your notice mentions the I-864 AND the taxes, I would assume you need to send both.

    Bill

From my understanding of notice so far, it seems to inform me that I need to submit all joint sponors' 2006 tax return and employment letters. However, I am not sure if I am correct and don't want to any mistake. Anyway, thank you for your response.

Yes, if you had a joint sponsor, then you need to send that as well. These RFE's are clearly "boiler plates" and are designed to cover various contingencies. You did not mention anything about a joint sponsor in your initial question so I was just assuming you didn't have one.

  11. Congrats on gettin your interview date Bill

I hope i get mine soon!

Ya sheesh! It's not like Scotland is a 3rd world or 'high risk' country... I should think yours would be one of the ones that gets forwarded to the CSC with no interview necessary. At least I see you finally got your EAD, congrats! (We did not apply for the EAD, just figured we'd wait for the green card).

Goodluck to bobby DE on the 12th and anniee&tee and Leney's hubby and stepson on the 14th...

Just curious why my biometrics date is not showing here, I double checked my timeline and I have it filled in, (over a month ago).

    Bill

You also need to post a message on this thread in order for me to see your post and update your timeline...

Your timeline will be updated tonight, i do it once a day....

Okey-dokey, I thought you were using some sort of search function on the timelines search to get the data, (odd how extended search features exist for the visa stage but not the AOS stage). At any rate, I just thought maybe my timeline was not properly updated on the system.

As fate would have it, I went to the mailbox today and low and behold we got the notices for the interviews for my wife and stepdaughter. My wifes appointment is for 1pm and my 8 year old step daughter is for 2pm... seems kind of odd having a seperate time for an 8 year old, should they be at the same time?

  15. I notice that some people don't have an 'interview' listed in thier timelines, but have thier greencard. I assume this means that some cases can be expedited and the interview 'skipped'?

I also see that some people who are keeping track of 'touches' don't indicate any 'touch' prior to receiving the letter with the appointment date, is this normal? What I mean is, is it normal NOT to receive any touch prior to getting the letter with the appointment date.

    Bill

  16. My Fiance and her daughter have already had thier biometrics, how soon should we expect our interview to be set? Are we on the bottom of the pile when they get the RFE?

    Bill

    You Mean Wife?

Anyway the clock pauses while they wait for you to return the RFE.

Tucson is looking at cases filed Jan 2007: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/officeProc...lectedOffice=79

Yes I meant "WIFE" LOL :blink:

  17. I received an RFE because, (I think), I failed to include a copy of the extension I filed for my 2006 taxes, (the RFE was not specific, however in reading it the extension was the only thing I had failed to include). I was going to wait and just send in my tax return along with the copy of the extension, but my accountant has just requested more info before he can finalize my return, (we have until Oct 15). Rather than wait any longer, I just went ahead and sent back the RFE with a copy of my extension and an explanation.

My Fiance and her daughter have already had thier biometrics, how soon should we expect our interview to be set? Are we on the bottom of the pile when they get the RFE?

    Bill

  18. As I reported earlier, we received our I-797C's for my wife, (who came here on a K1), and her daughter, (K2) however my wife's had a digit wrong on the address. Fortunately my mail carrier caught the mistake and delivered them both to the right house.

I called the USCIS 800 number and informed them of the error and they told me to wait 45 days...

Now, I got the notice of the biometrics appointment for my stepdaughter, but the one for my wife did not come, (either the mail carrier did not catch it or it got returned, the address they entered for my wife does not even exist, so it may have been returned to USCIS).

How can I get this problem resolved and get the address corrected on my wifes records? I can see this is going to be a big problem if everything they send her goes to the wrong address...

    Bill

  19. When I filed my I-134 I did not supply any tax returns because the form did not ask for any UNLESS I was self employed. I have heard that some consulates request tax returns in the Packet 3 instructions, but, at least in my case, Thailand did not request them either.

Has the form changed in the past few months? I was never asked for nor did I supply any tax returns until the I-864 stage...

    Bill
