I filed in October and received the same RFE a month ago. I had my interview yesterday and everything was fine.

What is yours about?

I still have to receive the letter. I just got the status change on the website.

After 203 days of waiting we received a RFIE. Reading around it means time resets. I'm so disheartened. No EAD either. We filed on October 30th. How is that possible to receive a RFIE, not even a RFE after more than 200 days. We are losing hope.

my parents actually are comfortable in their country(denmark) and dont want to move, but i think it would be easier for them to be permanent resident.

it gives some sense of security i believe, and even though hey have never stayed longer than a month we wouldnt have to worry if they stayed longer. 

 

thinking about it, its probably not that of a big deal if the bill goes through. 

If you are outside of the US for too long, you are going to lose the green card as it can be considered abandoned. So probably it doesn't serve the purpose you were thinking about.

Hi everybody,

My fiance and I are starting gathering all the information and filling the forms to apply for a K1 visa.

In few days he will leave the US for deployment, and will be away for a while. He won't have a address to recieve things as he will be on a ship.

What's the best route we can go through this?

Will giving the power of attorney to his mother help?
