The AOS Bill form in word format is missing in the above instructions. My spouse emailed NVC and the DS-3032 was easily remedied! It works! Saves a lot of time waiting (possibly a week or two). Next I am trying the AOS Bill fix so I don't have to wait for this. Looking good! Just need the AOS Bill form
The AOS Bill is there, scroll down when it opens
I thought the same when I initially opened it.
Hey Thanks! I created mine last night! Now my question is - I sent my DS-3032 (through the above outlined process) via email (my spouse did) and got a response that it was received and changed. Since the AOS is supposedly sent out roughly the same time that the DS-3032 was sent would it be okay to generate the AOS with a general bill date versus a specific bill date (just don't know what that is)?
OK STUPID QUESTION
ON THE DE230 APP. DO I PUT IN MY HUSBANDS INFORMATION OR MINE I KNOW THERE ARE 2 PARTS SO IS 1 FOR ME AND ONE FOR HIM, HE IS FROM EGYPT

awwww yes many of us wished we could be there for our SO's interview, I mean being a few feet away is much better than waiting for a phone call at 2am! yay great to hear!
Then you can enjoy the rest of your time together without having to worry about the interview
Oh LOVE the shirt, my fiance's name was/is a direct hit hehe...
yeah but it'll majorly blow the week if they deny him for whatever reason!!!
enjoy doodlebug . i wish i was going with you

hi i am an expert on the passport. i have been to egypt 4 times. if you are married to egy. you will get your passport stamped but you dont have to pay for it. they will ask you if you are married to egy. first. my passport has my egy. name on it so they let you go. NO cost at all

the nvc just sent out the forms for my case for my i130 . it only took the 18 days to send them to me. from the time they recieved my case to the time they sent out the forms. they are moving quick now

i applied in dec/05 for K1 it was sitting in cairo embassy from feb 2006 thru till i withdrew it dec 2006 . nothing was getting done just sitting on someones desk collecting dust. so we got married and i applied for the spousal visa and it was approved june 5 2007.20 days it took to the date at the california center . vermont had it for 10 months without processing it so it was transferred to the calif. center no time and we were approved.now we are waiting for the packets from the nvc . then to cairo again. hopefully he will be here by the end of the summer. sorry to all i hope i cleared it all up for you, micky

I noticed that this timeline is rather useless for those who have already a NOA2 and are currently waiting for their NVC completition. Hopefully this thread will help
. Members are organized on basis of their NOA2 approvals.

i am a US citizen , i am going to file a I-130 for my brother in scotland to move to the USA i know it takes a while but we are going to file anyway- he is over 21 and will be getting married in July - do i have to include his wedding certificate with the I-130 form or do they ask for that later ????
i sent mine and the translation for it and we were approved in 29 days after they transferred it to the california center
-
you knwo u need to withdraw your K1 petition and file a CR1 or K3. the terms of the K1 is strictly to allow your fiance to come to the US to marry you IN THE USA. the K1 is defunct now and its probably taking them awhile to figure it out.
what exactly is your senator helping you with? Your visa application is defunct. period.
he is helping me with our spousal visa.the embassy know we are waiting on our casenumber from the uscis which they got our petition on aug 7 and i still dont have a case number
-
Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get anywhere telephoning the Embassy. We've been in limbo since March. Email the Embassy with your inquiries or call the Department of State. It's about all you can do and as you know they won't tell you much. Have you contacted your senator for assistance?
i first filed for a fiancee visa in dec2005 and that is still pending in cairo. then we got married in feb 2006 and then in aug i filed a spousal visa . i got my reciept number but did not get a case number as of yet . they said it will take 4 to 6 months for this.but cairo is still working on our fiANCEE VISA.its been since june 26 that he has had his interview and are getting really pissed about the whole waiting thing
You need to make sure the embassy knows you are married and cancel your fiance petition.
This is a very odd situation. Did you tell Cairo at your interview that you had already gotten married legally and filed for a marriage based visa? From my understanding, you cannot get a fiance visa after you've been legally married.
my husband had the interview and didnt tell them we were married . but they know because i sent them emails stating that.they should knowanyway we are registerd and they keep going with the fiancee visa. eithier they are dumb or just plain lazy to look it up
Why on earth did your husband have an interview for a fiance visa when you are married and your spousal visa hasn't been approved in the US?
YOU NEED TO TELL THEM YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THEY ARE TOO LAZY TO LOOK IT UP!
we had the interview appointment way before we got married. we have been waiting since feb got the interview in june and then we told them we got married after the interview.my senator sent them a letter regaurding our case. and they know we are married

Hello everyone...
I am leaving to go to Morocco in 10 days. I was originally going to get married then, I started reading here how long it takes to get a spouse into the US. I sat and cried for 2 days. I have 4 children and they are very attached to him. They talk to him online and on the phone. They mail him things and such, so there is no way I can imagine making them wait that long. It is hard enough for me to wait that long much less children. That is when I noticed that if you apply for a K-1 it seems to take a lot less time then a K-3. Can you tell me if what I have read is true? Will it be a shorter time if we decide to go the way of K-1 instead? If we do, can you tell me is there anything I need to do while I am there. I feel so lost....as everything seems to be changing at the last minute. I am overwhelmed, scared and lost.
He lives in Casablanca and is a student. He has family there and two brothers here. So he has family both places. Do they consider this a risk when issuing a K-1? I live in Missouri. How do I tell what the time length is for the K-1 in my area?
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Dawnnette
i have been waiting since feb26 for my fincee visa.he had his interview june 26 and still we dont have the visa.

Hi, everyone. I've posted on here before about applying for a CR-1 through DCF in Shanghai for my wife (recently married) and canceling our previous application for a K-1 fiancee visa. We applied for the K-1 fiancee visa in March of this year, and it's currently in Guangzhou (supposedly), although they don't have it in their system yet, as they apparently only update their information once a month.
I called Guangzhou on Friday to try to cancel our application (I had called once before), and the woman told me that I should call back in the middle of November to check whether it would be possible to update our K-1 application to a marriage visa application, or whether we would need to cancel the application and reapply for a CR-1.
This surprised me, because I had never heard anywhere before that it might be possible to update our current application rather than submitting a new one. I asked the woman on the phone whether this was possible, and all she was able to tell me was that I would need to ask that question when I called the next time, after they had our application in their system.
Has anyone ever heard of this before? Has anyone ever done this before? What is involved? Is it possible, or was the woman who spoke to me misinformed?
This is a crucial decision for us because our time for the CR-1 visa is very tight. We need to get over in time for my wife to start grad school in August or September, and we would like to get over early enough for me to have time to find a job in the area where she will be attending school, preferably in the spring so that I can look for teaching jobs in private high schools in the area before all the available positions are snatched up. If it would be possible to simply update our current application, it could save us a considerable amount of time. However, if it's not possible, or even if it's very unlikely, we will submit our application for the CR-1 this week so as to get the ball rolling on that as quickly as we can.
Thanks to everyone on this forum for all your help so far, and I appreciate any advice you can give on this issue.
