    I am having CR-1 interview in coming month here in India. And my wife is with me who is USC.Is it good to have my wife during the interview time to have a better proof.

    and the 2nd question is the airlines prices has gone up so much these days what do you think to buy air ticket before interview. is there any chance of denial of CR-1 visas??

    Well, the storm died down a bit and I'm waiting to hear from my family. I hope the levees hold.

    It's quite fun to hear how the weather channel guys pronounce names in Louisiana though :) You'd think they'd have looked them up since Katrina....

    hello everyone , i havent been here for a long time but judy made me come, she said people were asking about me? sabri and i are doing just fine.and i got a big promotion at work , i am the new boss( dietary manager) starting tomorrow.little nervous but will be fine :dance:

    I am so sorry this had to happen to you two. Everything was going so smoothly too.

    I agree with everyone else and just find a sponsor, and like Mandy said Nick will have to take any job he can right now. There are jobs out there, you guys will be okay.

    when my husband got here i was without a job too and didnt report it , i finally got one in july. no worries you will be a-ok :thumbs:

    I know the hurt I feel is intensified because my wife just went back to Ukraine and the wound is still fresh from losing her by my side until this process is finished. Was feeling kind of ok today, then just going to the local grocery store (where we used to shop) this avalanche of pain and emotions just crushed me. :(

    Then I think of the others here at VJ, who have been waiting for months and months ... and my heart sincerely goes out to you. To go through this kind of pain for so long has to effect you emotionally, physically and mentally.

    I know that some of the pain might ease up a little as time goes by and 'regular' life, going to work, etc. goes on ...

    But I was just wondering what advice or tips can some VJ members offer who had a long wait or are still going through the process ... How did/do you cope without being with your most precious one?

    i can feel that pain, but i waited 2 years for my husband to get here, now we look back and say how did we do it. but we had to, he has been here since april, and i stillcant believe he is with me.good luck to you. i know its hard , but hang in there :)

    Alhamodlilah we got the visa today in DHL

    first i wish best luck to all who waiting thier visa and in AP . inshaAllah they will good news soon . just keep faith

    visa was issued march 18th after one day from the interview i still cant believe it my interview was march 17th . Allah is great . and it seem cairo do thier work right now Alhamodlilah.

    i have question the visa say it was issued march18th 2008 and expire sep16th 2008

    that mean it is good for 6 months or i have to leave be4 3 months

    So this is how it went it is 3 am and Medo called me and said honey wake up. I said Nooooo i only slept 3 hours. he said but honey this could be the day i get my visa. Me not awake and grumpy. "that visa isn't coming today we have been waiting 2 years, i'm sleeping". He says honey i got the VISA i said Medo this is nothing to joke about. He says I swear to God. I got the visa. So i started to laugh scream and then cryied. He says why are you crying? I say there happy tears. OMG I'm full of emotions :dance: Today we are looking up flights that he and our dog can travel on togeather. OMG i can't belive it. AGHHHHHHHHHH :dance:

    CAIRO KEEP THEM VISA'S COMING SO WE CAN ALL FEEL THIS WAY AND BE WITH OUR LOVE ONES!

    The embassy just called him and told him to come in sometime before 10am tomorrow and to bring his passport so they can put the visa on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He asked if he needs to bring anything and she said no just your passport so we can put the visa on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to go into a WICKED big meeting where I present financials and I'm blubbering like a fkg idiot!

    nothing wrong in having a beard it is just some kind of religious tradition and nothing wrong about that. the most imporant that he doesnot belong to any kind of group or hasnot any political activity. and it is so easy for them to know that , so no worry

    yes for all you wonderful friends out ther, sorry i wasnt here earlier i had a 3 hour interview this morning, so just got home :blink: yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss sabry got the visa today, we have waited 2 1/2 years for this (L) (L) (L) (L) :dance: :dance: thank you all for your prayers, judy and tender heart love you both, my best friends :energetic:

    my husband had his interview on feb13 and everything went fine, the lady told him that they will call him , they didn't put a black stamp in his passport that means he wasn't denied, they gave him back our marriage certificate and his divorce papers and his passport. has this ever happened to anyone before . the embassy said its in ap and they would call him, but they didnt keep his passport WHY??????????????????????? :crying:

    Hello everyone, Just wanted to share our latest Embassy news with you.

    A women from the Embassy called and told my husband to be at the Embassy in Cairo at 9 am this morning. They told him to bring pictures, a copy of passport and any greeting cards. He was the first to be seen this morning. They asked him several questions about us, my family, if we spoke on the phone and internet often, what our conversations are about, who were my best friends, family names, his and mine, they looked at the pictures and asked who were the people in the pictures, then told him they wold contact him soon to send his passport.

    Is it too early to get my hopes up? God I hope this is the last step before he gets his visa.

    my husband had his interview today also and they gave his passport back and said they will call him soon, what does this mean he doesnt get the visa? he had to pay for DHL and everything, he had all of the above you mentioned , i just cant undersatnd why he didnt get his visa .usually they keep his passport but they gave it back to him :angry: :angry:

    AHMED WAS APPROVED!! ONLY 4 HOURS AFTER ARRIVING AT THE EMBASSY AND I GET THE CALL :thumbs: WOW I THINK IT IS RECORD TIME.

    HE SAID THE CO WAS NICE..FIRST ASKED IF HE WANTED INTERVIEW IN ENGLISH OR ARABIC.....HE SAID ARABIC. THE CO ASKED WHY HE SAID TO PROVE I CAN SPEAK ENGLISH GOOD AND UNDERSTAND MY FIANCEE WHEN WE COMMUNICATE

    THEN THEY ASKED FOR MY ORIGINAL DIVORCE PAPERS. ALSO ASKED FOR PICTURES AND HE PULLED A WHOLE STACK OUT AND THEY SAID OH NEVER MIND WE HAVE PLENTY IN OUR FILE ALREADY. SO HE PUT THEM AWAY.

    THEN THEY ASKED IF WE HAD MARRIED EVEN IF JUST PAPER AND NOT LEGAL..AHMED SAID HE LOOKED WORRIED BUT HE TOLD TRUTH THAT WE DID DO THE SIGING OF PAPERS SO WE CAN STAY IN FLAT TOGETHER BUT IT IS NOT SIGNED BY JUDGE AND NOT LEGAL. THE CO THEN SAID DO NOT WORRY WE JUST WANTED TO SEE IF YOU HONEST OR NOT. IT HAS NO EFFECT ON THE K1 VISA.

    NEXT THE CO ASKED FOR OUR GENERAL HISTORY. SO AHMED TOLD HIM WE MET ONLINE IN CHAT COMMUNITY CALLED PALTALK IN ROOM CALLED INTERNATIONAL CAFE FOR FRIENDS OF THE WORLD IN JAN 2007....THEN IN MARCH WE DECIDED WE IN LOVE AND WANTED TO MARRY AND I CAME IN JUNE AND WE SIGN THE PAPERS JUNE 21 2007 AND WE ARE MARRIED IN ALLAH EYES AND OUR HEARTS JUST NOT LEGAL YET. THEN I CAME AGIAN IN OCTOBER.....CO SAID SHE CAME TWICE....AHMED SAID YES.

    HE SAID OKAY CONGRATULATIONS! HAVE GOOD LIFE IN USA AND HAPPY MARRIAGE ALWAYS. YOU SHOULD GET VISA IN 2 TO 3 WEEKS.

    HE GAVE DIVORCE PAPERS BACK AND SENT HIM FOR FINGERPRINTS AND TO PAY DHL FEE. THEY KEPT HIS PASSPORT AND GAVE HIM COPY OF THE DHL SLIP SO WE CAN TRACK VISA. (WE SENT OUR PASSPORT WITH PACKET 3--- THE ORIGINAL ONE NOT COPY)

    HE ALSO DID NOT HAVE TO PAY HE ADDITIONAL $31 CIB VISA FEE. WE READ SOMEWHERE IF U DID NOT INTERVIEW BY JAN 31ST YOU HAD TO...BUT THEY DID NOT ASK HIM TO.

    SO THAT WAS IT....ALL THIS WORRYING OVER NOTHING....MY HABIBI WILL HAVE VISA SOON!! :dance: IT JUST SEEMS SO UNREAL....I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED.

    thats what i am scared of they took so long with the fiancee visa i withdrew it and started all over again . they kept my husbands visa for over a year. yours seem to have gone very quick how did ya do it :help:
