Congratulations

When I submitted my I-130 my teenage son was living with me. He's since then moved. Because he's almost 18 & works full-time, I won't be including him on my 2020 taxes. When I complete the affidavit of support, do I omit my son? Or would I include him, since he's listed on the I-130?

You're probably right however, we have red flags... Primarily our 13 yr age difference & the fact that my husband is in Italy on a refugee passport. So, we'll take whatever help we can get.

Hi, I'm referring to a US immigration attorney that is located in Italy.
-
Did anyone use an Italian attorney for the spousal visa? If yes, please refer them to me. Thanks!

Thank you for responding.

I actually have a two part question...
1). If you live abroad with your spouse, would you file a DCF or CR-1?
2). If you work for the fed gov overseas, would you need to transfer to a position stateside before your spousal visa can be approved?
Thanks

Has anyone filled while living abroad with your spouse? Did you have to work for an American company abroad, to have verified income? Any guidance is appreciated

Thanks everyone

Is it considered a red flag to USCIS, getting married this way?
-
So, you just apply for a marriage license at you county office, using your fiance's passport, then get married?
-
Can a foreign fiance come to the US, get married, then go back home while the visa is being processed?

If you don't mind, how much were the fees? Trying to put our budget together for the process. Thanks

It truly depends on the country. From experience, I know of several cases where the K1 was denied because the divorce wasn't explained. So, it's best to give more info.

Hi Joshua, to be on the safe side, have your fiance write a timeline for her divorce. If you haven't already filed the I-129F, include the timeline with your evidence.

I have no idea how I was able to schedule the interview without it. I was thinking, I'd be promoted to pay after selecting a date but, I wasn't. I emailed the consulate to ask how do we pay the fee because I didn't see anything in Packet 3.
-
Ok thanks for your responses. I emailed the embassy to inquire how to pay the fee. I was able to schedule our interview without paying a fee & the consulate issued packet 3 so, I was just confused lol.

I'm confused about the Visa fee. I thought that I read somewhere that you didn't have to pay an additional visa fee after the payment of $535. I was able to schedule our interview without paying an additional fee of $265 for the Visa. Will we be required to pay the fee later or did the $535 cover this fee as well? Please help, I'm confused & frustrated. Thanks

Thanks for sharing. Do you have any recent stats on Italy?
