17 days and counting down fast. I have no idea what I will be like the week of this interview. Am praying we will finally be able to move forward and make definite plans for our future.

Our interview is 27 days away. The medical examination is now done as well as the updated police clearance. Everything has been mailed to Fatawu to bring to the interview and I never thought this day would come!!! This week is a special week. Fatawu's birthday, Valentine's Day, and our wedding anniversary. God is amazing and I'm so blessed to have been given this gift.

Our interview is March 14th and everything is falling into place. I pray I will be with my husband soon. This process is tough but I know I will also cherish how the distance has made Fatawu and me grow closer and closer. We don't go more than a couple hours without talking unless we are sleeping. I'm so ready for this. Thank You Jesus for bringing us this far. Thank you for Ghana and all the new relationships that I have now. Am so blessed.

Do you think that being there for the interview is helpful? I have been to Ghana 3 times in the last year and I want to be there to support my husband so bad. I know he is a confident, wise, and respectful man and can do this on his own but I want to support him as much as I can. I would love for them to just know I was there for him.

I was outside the embassy when my husband had his interview. We also made sure that the CO knew I was there...sent a letter from me and copies of my passport stamps, airline tickets, pictures from the days before, etc. I think it's great to go and support and have an additional trip to submit. That said I know some who attended and were still denied. I also know others who didn't attend and their men had know problems. I think it's a person choice. One nice thing is I was able to bring some of my husband's stuff home with me after.

I understand. It's hard. This whole process is. It took a toll on me physically, emotionally, financially, even spiritually. The best advice I can give you is not to let other cases get to you. Everyone is different. Everyone has their own challenges. Everyone has their own stories. If possible try to learn from others mistakes, develop from their positives, and focus on your case. It will drive you absolutely crazy if you start stressing about how others cases could impact you. I did it far too often and it wasn't healthy.
