Hello all. Here is an update. For future reference, it took me almost a year from sending in my N-400 form in October of last year(2016) to receive my interview letter and interview date in September of the following year.(2017) Try not to be worried if you have to wait longer than usual; we are dealing with a huge gov bureaucracy - sometimes files can get "lost" in some pile of documents. Eventually it will all work out.

Here is a quote from the email USCIS sent my congressman's office after I asked for help to see why my case is taking so long (received online message in early DEC 2016 that my case has been scheduled for an interview, no action since then).

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter.  Our review indicates that this case is within our current processing time.  We are currently processing cases filed on June 24, 2016, this case was received on 10/04/2016. Once further action is taken, a notice will be sent to the address of record.

I guess I just have to wait.

I have called my congressman's office, and am sending them the documents they requested from me today.

Hello Friends,

My case stalled in December 2016. Last notice I received was in early December; my online case status showed that an "interview was scheduled." I waited for an interview date letter for two months and when none came I contacted the USCIS in February and again in April of 2017. Both times, I was told that my case has still not been assigned an interview date and that no interview letter has been mailed. My online case status never changed and still shows that interview was scheduled in early December. It is June, and I feel like my case is stuck in bureaucratic limbo or has gotten lost. Can anyone please let me know who I should contact next? Congressman? etc. Thanks for any suggestions.

My notice is slightly different.

Mine states "scheduled an interview..." and yours "started the interview scheduling process..." which leads me to believe that I might have been assigned a date, that has already passed or was postponed. Have to call USCIS to find out.

Update. Thank you for your suggestions. I sent an online inquiry to find out why my interview letter has not arrived. "As of February 20, 2017, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number XXXXX, is currently not assigned for processing." (Stated waiting time for answer to online inquiry is up to one month.)

Does anyone know what phone number I should call to talk to an officer to find out if I have been assigned an interview date? There was no number on my notice.
