The website https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do still shows that my case was received on Oct 3rd, 2016 for one of my numbers and for the other that my case was updated to "My Name Was Updated" on March 8th.

The website https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant shows my case aproved for the NOA number and "Case Received" for the other number on October 3, 2016.

My NOA is 09/29 and I didn't file N-400.

I had mycase tracker updates like most people (WAC number that didn't work before) - 02/26 was received at local office, then 03/05 again was received at local office, then later that day name was updated, approval letter is the same date - 03/05.

USCIS dhs site shows that case was approved, so it must be real.

Thanks @beckepaul06, I  was able to talk to a USCIS Tier 2 agent this morning and they essentially told me that my case is still at USCIS and not at the Chicago field office. I'm guessing it is going to be a long wait (1 year+) at this point for me as I am a November 2017 filer.

Maybe 2 more months or less.. let's pray that they can accelerate this process.

From what I can see, it looks like it is coming from California, the address is on the top. I can also see that the date on the letter is 03/08.

Sept 28th!!!! I guess the website we were all checking yesterday is legit. The regular USCIS website still showing my case was transferred

So, I checked the informed delivery website and I'm receiving a letter from USCIS today, and it looks like the approval letter.

Yup I agree it is strange, but after 15 months of silence il take any kind of hope. When did your status change do your remember. Cause mine changed on the 26 then on March 5 and hasn't changed since. But if yours said transferred & then changed it has to mean something, right? But if the change happened yesturday or today that might not be so good as gov offices are closed on weekends. And that might lead me to believe the status changers are computer generated and not an actual person updating it. Soooooo when did your status change exactly?

Mine states all the changes and then it says that my case got approved on March 9th, Friday.

Try to use the first one,  the one that wasn't working

As for now the same status we've had for over a year.

 

Try to add your old WAC number. That's how I saw mine.
