Hey, silly question, but my wife just got a great offer to work for a new company. She is going through ROC now, Aug 2016 filer. Will this cause any hiccups in her background check or will it be the standard couple of days like most companies?

Just out of curiosity, but you seem to make this sound like a DIRE immediate emergency, do you or anyone know how long it takes to even get an interview for a B2 visa? I'm not familiar with the visitor visa procedures, but will you have time to undergo all of the visa steps before a worst case scenario?

Anyone know how long after biometrics before they actually start reviewing your case?

According to the USCIS website, having a statement showing her costs would be covered COULD be submitted if she does not have the finances to prove so.
Also, is this different than other visa procedures?
I see she has to fill out the DS-160, pay the fee, gather documentation, and then attend the interview.
What is the typical processing time from the moment she fills out the DS-160 until an interview?

Hi, so I'm well aware that in order to get a Tourist visa the burden of proof is on the applicant and not the USC or Green Card holder spouse when it comes to having family members visit.
My question is as follows;
Is it worth attempting to assist my mother-in-law from Romania to get a tourist visa when she has limited supporting documents in Romania?
We would provide the a notarized affidavit that her expenses, room, and food would be provided by us for the duration of her trip, however we do not want to get invested into this if she has an almost zero chance of getting one.
To my knowledge, here are about the few things she could prove as ties to return and what she would be saying:
She has been unemployed for an extended period of time and assists almost full time taking care of her new grandchild.
She does have a home under her name where she has lived for a long period of time, and absolutely cannot abandon it as it houses her daughter and grandchild too.
All of her children, minus my spouse, live in Romania and they rely on each other for rotating needs such as money, food, babysitting, etc.
---
Like I said, she has very limited physical assets to name there, and she is not a wealthy person by any means to show funding on her own (Thus we are offering to pay for her entire stay, and travel)
She has no intent to immigrate, only to visit her daughter and meet my family for a short period of time.
I am pretty sure the answer to my question is that she is very unlikely to get a tourist visa, but if anyone has some suggestions on what else I should be looking at to prove ties to her country or if anyone has had a similar experience helping a less wealthy relative get a tourist visa to visit you, I'd appreciate hearing your story.
Thank you.

We have been out of the country for 4 months attending to family business in my wife's country. We filed August 10th 2016. Her one year extension letter expires in November which we will not be able to return at that time. I have two questions.
1 - can my wife get an extension letter at our embassy since it will take well over the one year extension she recieved?
2 - considering we still have a place of residence in the US, will being out of the country for more than 6 months but less than a year revoke her green card, even though she lives there over the two years required to get her 10 year residency. She currently has the 2 year green card and one year stamp which expires November 2nd.
