  1. The story thickens due to the fact my fiancee's uncle is a priest, so we need to be religiously married in Italy. I was thinking of having a civil marriage in the US prior to starting the application and when approved perform the religious ceremony in the six month window and then come home to the United States.

then you should apply for a K-1 fiancé(e) visa, because the two of you plan to marry after she enters the states. the procedure isn't so complicated, so without a lawyer would work. it's really up to you if you want to pay extra for a lawyer.

  2. you should check on USCIS website and see if they have really sent it to the NVC yet. If it has been sent, it will take the NVC up to 2 weeks from the date sent to receive your case. Then it will take them another 6 weeks to issue you a NVC case and an invoice for AOS fee. So you should count 2 weeks from the date sent from USCIS before calling NVC to check if they have received anything in regards to your case. their phone number is +1.603.334.0700.

  3. Well, pretty much the same thing happened to me. I was approved from the USCIS on the 24th August, and they didn't send my USCIS case to the NVC until the 27th September. When I called the NVC the week after the NOA was sent, they told me that it would take them up to 6 weeks to enter the USCIS case into their system, and after they have enter the case into the NVC system, it will take them 2 weeks to issue a NVC case number.

  4. if you're married then get a green card, if not then try apply for K-1 fiancé visa. no harm in trying.

  5. the rfe asked for g325 a biographical forms and passport sized photos....im just afraid that USCIS may have misplaced the i130 form or they may have chosen not to process it.....

The G325 and passport size photos are items that go along with the I-130. Don't worry, they won't misplace it. You just got to provide those information that are requested and they will process your I-130

  6. As I said, my priority date is July 11th. I hope it is going to be approved by the end of this month.

yes hopefully. Since you have filed the I-130 exactly 2 month after mine, I'm guessing that you would get approved on October 24, when is exactly 2 month after me.

But if you haven't gotten approved yet, you should give the USCIS a call and enquire for status.
