Medical Delay puts case in AP

Medical received by the Embassy November 30,2016

Visa issued December 23,2016

N.B. sometimes your delay can be simple issues, hence AP isn't a nightmare all the time. The embassy called november 30th to informed me that my medical was with them. Weeks and no activity on the case. I emailed them on the 16th of December and embassy called me December 23 in response to my email and I spoke to the consulate Officer (very accommodating and polite) I stated clearly my concerns and I got immediate results. She called back two hours later to informed me that I could pick up my passport by 2:00pm at the embassy. requested to do so the following Wednesday.

@LadyJ im still waiting. I am trying not to panic because their are others who are still waiting on their visas as well. My medical got to the embassy on the 30th, so I guess I will just have to wait. I guess when you have missing documents you just have to join the line

Still waiting on that Visa. The embassy called me on the 30th of November to say they just got my medical and they need my passport which they already have. I guess im not only one waiting from what I have read. The medicals are delaying the process. I am just hoping to get it before Christmas.

Good night, Thanks Listeague for your post. It has somewhat eased my frustration. I did my medical on the 26th of October and my interview on the 9th of November (FB1 visa). I was told it was approved and my passports taken, the CO told me that haven't gotten my medical yet so I just need to go wait and wait on the visa. The following day my status changed to AP. It was updated on the 18th of November and then on the 30th I got a call from the embassy saying they have just received my medical and need my passport (which they have). case updated again. I was worried because I had no idea the wait was this long. Continue to update us as we wait. Im hoping for some good news next week. Today is one month and counting........

Nope, still waiting, my lawyer said not to worry its because the medical was sent over late.

Oh! Blesschild26 it was $20, 375 and if you need additional shots that extra. Make sure you have your immunization Card.It could cost you big buck if you don't.

@ Sata, should there be cause for concern? I did not get any white paper. he simply said you are all set we are just waiting on your medical to come over.

Hey Guys I did my interview yesterday. It went well, must easier than I anticipated. Even though it was my father who filed for me I didn't have to do any DNA test, neither did they ask for any proof......

N.B to all my Jamaican friends please schedule your medical as soon as you get your appointment letter. I did my medical on the 26th of October and when I did my interview it was not there as yet. The consulate told me everything looks great just go home and wait on your visa.

I did my medical on Wednesday and my interview will be in another two weeks. Excited and of course a little nerves kicking in. All the best everyone!!!!

Ok, SweetV don't panic,try and be at the post office as they open for business tomorrow.You may still have time as your deadline was Friday which would have given upon closing hours to collect it.I assume they did not open yesterday,and if they are to return it then it would be tomorrow. @ My Jamaican peeps, I asked someone to collect my police certificate and their is section that says Applicant's signature. Did you affixed you signature to it.

Reason, the first on I got was sealed and I sent it to my lawyer, but this one was open so I looked at it.

Oluwaseuna, you are almost there. I got case complete in June and then in August they send an email to say I was in line for an interview and then interview for November. Just hang in there, you are almost there!!!

I share the same sentiments, I have been waiting for 8 years and just finally got an interview letter. We just have to support each other because been away from our love ones is not easy.

Hey, looks like your case is already completed and you are current now, actually current long time ago. Call NVC for your interview date, but you'll have to bring your DNA to the interview.

Hey Lain, it is so hard getting through to NVC, however I got through last night. The gentleman I spoke with said that they haven't scheduled a date for me as yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will do so next week for a October interview. I hate waiting . SMH
