I appreciate all of your efforts in updating our spreadsheet, it's been an incredible tool. It only worked(s) because of your constant updates. But I worry all of your updates will be lost if they're not also included on the VJ timeline. I don't work for VJ, just a applicant (petitioner) like you. But I would feel bad if somehow our spreadsheet disrupted VJ's mission/goal.. So please update your VJ timelines when you get a chance..

Also, each embassy has different requirements to prepare for your interviews. For example, in France, they provided a website link to confirm our appointment with them as well as provide shipping details to return our pasport/visa.  They also provide details on what you can bring/not bring to your interview.

Meanwhile, if you haven't done so already, you can head over to the following forum, joining others who are waiting for an interview date and preparing for their interviews. Normally the NVC should release new interview dates next week. If you do not receive an interview date next week, you'll have to wait until the end of month for when they release their October dates.  Please read the first post in the following forum, very informative info in there. See you there.

We got our P4 letter by email with interview date Sept 18! When I called to confirm my second scan date, i was told to wait for up to 11 weeks!  I just checked the website, the status is indeed "in transit"!  We are soooooo surprised! 

Checking-in here, 2nd scan date July 24.
Hope things will be smooth from now on!

HI All, i created the forum to give tips on how to avoid a checklist.. But this forum is really about gathering those who have a checklist.. I want to work with @JessieABC (or anyone of you) on creating a google form or some sort of solution where we can easily gather everyones checklist info and needed correction.. (i created one already but it sucks)..  Because it's just CRAZY what's happening to you guys. You are just the current ones with checklists but HALF of our spreadsheet have received a checklist which delayed their cases!! HALF.. So I hope we can come up with some sort of tool together that can help any future filers; preventing them from going through what you're going through...  so sorry.. Please share your stories/frustrations/ideas/solutions here..

The is great advice from Cadtousa. @ILKFC  Get your police certificate receipt/copy mailed out to the NVC ASAP (make sure it's the right police certificate you're ordering).. Once it's mailed out and they have confirmed receipt.. Try to get a hold of a supervisor..I know you're not in a rush now because of the schooling thing.. but i'm sure you'd prefer to have a CC sooner than later to give you time to plan, etc..

Thanks,... All this should be explained in the welcome letters we receive or at least on our embassy websites.. Each one of our embassies should have an area where they give examples of each document needed with an explanation of where/how to get them..  Seriously, HALF of our cases have received a checklist.. HALF.. This is obnoxious.. I need to write this down as one of my goals.. Find out a way to make this change happen.. 

We did check with the Police again and they will send it to the Embassy directly.  I searched online and saw other people saying I should send in a copy of the payment receipt showing I requested and paid for the certificate already, so I will do that along with a letter of explanation.

Hello everyone, the following is sorted by country. You'll see your Case Complete cases along with those that have already received their interview dates.  Some of you are very lucky as there are several cases from your country that have received their interview dates; giving you a good idea of when you'll receive yours.. For other's it's a surprise. But normally, the majority of us should receive our interview dates for August by mid July.. that is if there is enough slots available.... I know in France, it's the month where everyone goes on vacation... So I imagine there will be less interview slots available for those of us living in France.. Wishing you all good luck. Here's hoping well all get interview dates in August!!

Taken from the i864 instructions. "For example, you may include a recent letter from your employer, showing your employer’s address and telephone number, and indicating your annual salary."
 
if you're transferring to the US with your jobs, have your American employer’s address and telephone number, and indicating your annual salary on the letters..  This could help your case at the interview since you're using assets and do not have a joint-sponsor.

I don't have anything to update though.  I included 2016 income on AOS form already and sent in my 1040/2555ez copies as well.  I did order 2016 tax transcript 2 weeks ago.  Hopefully it will arrive before the interview.  We are using assets so no joint-sponsor info was provided..

On behalf of all of us who are there on the spreadsheet I would like you say BIG THANKS to @JBMG who made it so do sooooo easy for us to track the progress on others cases and anticipate our own file's pace. Though the entire VJ family is very helpful but I would like to make an honest confession that I am still here only because of @JBMG. I have always followed the VJ forums silently but only after sending the documents to NVC and getting the scan date I became active in different forums. Kept seeing different people posting different questions and some getting answers some still unanswered. However I noticed one thing that is really commendable is how @JBMG kept on liaising with different individuals and tagging the right person to ensure the questions get answered. Even though JBMG's own scan date was much later still he went beyond his comfort level to create the spreadsheet for all of us rather than just worrying and questioning about his own case like most of us. @JBMGas you say what we would have done without the VJ family, I would say what would I (we rather) have done without you on this forum. Whatever I say about you would be still less. I thank you on behalf of all of us!! Your dedication and selflessness truly deserves it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! You are a STAR!!
