Sounds like he is out of luck. If had attended that the hearing he might have been ok. Unfortunately, you can't go back and change that now. Maybe you should consider moving to his country now.
So the waver wont help?

My husband was brought to the US when he was a minor later he got a removal hearing and neither he or his mother attended so it was signed by the judge. He stayed in the country and later married me a US citizen. Few months back he was stopped during a traffic stop a week after we had sent out his I-130. He was taken to jail and we tried to keep him in the US but the judge reject it and he is about to get deported soon. I talked to my lawyer and he told me due to him nor his parents not attending to his hearing he has a ban for 5 years even if he submits the waver.
So my main question is even if we submit the waver he will still have a ban for 5 years? There is no other choice than to stay 5 years out of the US?
Thank You

Thanks, I too have heard good things about AIT... and rarely anything bad - that I kinda blame on the applicant and not AIT. Ok, then it will go in with everything else they need.
Yeah if you have all your papers well organized you will be good nobody will get rude or frustrated
that was my experience

We have sponsors for my wife. ( my parent who filled out I-864, & I-864A )
I filled out a I-864 but my income etc, was not enough.. so I needed the sponsors.
When she takes the paperwork to the interview, will she need to bring MY I-864 and tax info... even though I am not the financial responsibility?
From the guide:
For family-based visa applications:
The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s.Since I am not a financial sponsor... this is the reason for my question.
I just had my interview yesterday in taipei and i also had a joint sponsor since i have never done my taxes and have no income
I took it just if in case but they didnt even look at it they just took my explanation letter why i haven't done my taxes and my joint sponsor new 2016 tax info
its up to you but i would take it just if in case
theres no harm in just taking it to make sure plus if they don't need it they wont even ask for it when they pick up your papers before the real interview
BTW everyone in the Taiwan embassy was super nice good luck!

oh ok thanks for the info

There was no fee to have it delivered to a pickup location.
Hi sorry to bother you again
I know you had the 221(g) and had to mail them the missing info
Did you mail the info it in the kerr express free drop off location or just mailed it in a normal taiwan post office? Can I just mail it in the normal post office since i live far from taipei and any location for the free drop off location.

After my wife got the 221g green sheet during the interview, she immediately went to Household Registration Office to get the official divorce certificate. Then she just followed the instructions on the sheet for mailing it to AIT. After about 1 day, the status on the CEAC website changed from "Refused" to "Issued". Then after 2 more days, she received a text message which said her passport was ready to be picked up at the location we chose earlier.
Best Wishes
Thanks!
was there a fee after it changed to ISSUED? do you know is theres a fee to pay to get it deliver? if yes how to pay it
thanks a lot!!!!

Hi cusco10,

did u get the email?
My husband over stayed with his visa when he was under age and they want more evidence he left the US after turning 18 which he did
About my domicile I just said i voted in the last elections and took the emails and they say domicile was ok yay oh about the email not yet we just came back from the interview few hrs ago so maybe later
what email?

When we go back to the US we would no longer be staying in the address we put in the ds-260 and were the green card will be mailed. My husband had his interview today and we got the 221(g) we didn't even have time to ask if we could change the address since we weren't approved. The paper we are missing is something very easy so i am not worried of getting denied . Since we just need to mail what is missing and we don't have to go back to the embassy i don't know how to fix this address?
Does anybody know how to change it? Thanks for any info

Congratulations!!! I checked our status today, and ours is "ISSUED", too!!!! Only took 1 day for AIT to receive and review the divorce certificate from the 221(g)
Woo Hoo!!!!!
Hi I got my interview today and also got the 221(g)
we can get the missing document by tomorrow and mail it too but after that whats the next step? Is there a fee i need to pay online before the visa can be issued and mailed back after the 221(g) is fixed?
Can you tell me your experience with the 221(g) and how you mailed the missing paper? in the drop box?
it would really help me
thanks very much

yeah thats what we think too thanks
another question.. when we register for the the document delivery in www.ustraveldocs.com/tw in the dashboard that you see when you log in after creating the account in one square it says "No appointment is currently scheduled."
We did print the confirmation to bring to the interview at the end i am just not sure if its normal for it to say "No appointment is currently scheduled" when we have it in a few days. Did you experience the same?
this is what i mean

That was confusing to us also. My wife took both the one her showing her birth and her current one. She says she thinks the original one is needed if the person doesn't have a birth certificate. The officer took only the current one from her. By the way, no need for translation of the hhr.
thanks
what do you mean by the one showing her birth? Is that a different one because we have the current one for sure
plus we do have the birth certificate

hi i have a question about the household registration.
In the AIT online checklist for the interview and the email from AIT we recently got it says we need
☒ Household Registration (o Original and o Current)
im not sure if it is asking for two different registrations or is it the same thing ? what did you do for the interview regarding this
Thanks you for the info

Yup cause Thats what they told me at the embassy since I have been away for too long since high school. I dont want to waste time cause I found some post that said they were given 221g three times cause the evidence they were sending were not enough for domicile so I decided that I will give them the best evidence that I am domicile to the U.S by being here with a job , so that I wont waste time.
im in the same situation i haven't gone back since high school (4 years ago)
well ill update after the interview hopefully it goes ok

Hi cusci10, May I ask how u resolved your 221g proof of domicile? You see I also got 221g proof of domicile last week . I really dont know what document to send them . They told me I have to go back and get a job or lease a house. Can you please share with me your experience.. cause Im getting so confused and sad cause I'll have to be away from my kids to do that..thanks
Sorry for the late reply
I haven't had my interview yet until 2 weeks and i am worried about the domicile too
i will try to gather as much as info as i can and hope i can prove of my intent to leave
i will show emails that i have applied to jobs, and colleges since i want to go back and study also shipping receipts of stuff we already shipped also voting info to prove i voted in the last elections
Also my husband will explain our situation but i dont know if that will help much
If this doesn't work i guess i will have to leave with out my husband

A different address shouldn't cause problems - you can mention it at the interview, and of course send in your actual address as soon as you arrive in the US.
You don't have to be living with your joint sponsor, so it won't make a difference to your application.
Yes thats what we planned for my husband to explain in the interview
thanks for the info

My husband is about to have his interview in Taiwan and I would like to know if for the joint sponsor is required to bring her 2 more recent stubs and employment letter? When I sent the joint sponsor’s I-864 to NVC I included both but I am not sure if I should take it the more recent ones to the interview too.
Also since I am currently living in Taiwan when I sent my domicile info to NVC I put my joint sponsor address as my future domicile and I sent a letter from my joint sponsor affirming I will stay with her but she recently move and we think is better if we stay with another family member can this address change cause any problems?
Thanks

So they told you over the phone as well, your approval?
yes they did and told me to wait a week for the email saying it got approved
few days after i got it i got the appointment letter
-

Follow up question: When they said you were missing something.. did they say to bring it to the interview or did they request it sent to NVC and you lost another 11 weeks?
Thats my big fear... losing another 11 weeks - but I assume that happens when you really left out something important / they lost it. ( though I wrote my NVC case number on 99.9% of everything.
Well I was missing the birth certificate and yeah i lost another 10 weeks
Im not sure but i think if is financial info you are missing they might tell you to bring it to the interview I read something like that in my letter when i got the RFE
-
When we received our email from NVC me and my husband received one in his email account and also mine account
And I recently got approved by NVC a few days before the 10 weeks and when I called they told me I would receive the approved email in about a week and I did and after 2 days my appointment letter
If I was you I would call to just make sure
the first time when i got RFE with NVC i called when i was in the 11th week and they told me they would put a note and a few days later they told me I was missing something
Good luck

Like i said we had already started the process by sending the I-130
what will happen with that? After a year will it automatically be cancelled?
