I am living in Zambia now with my USC husband, but I am Canadian. We would like to visit my family in Canada for a bit before doing the POE and entering the US. However, most flights to Canada connect through the US (the US is one of the few countries that requires you to go through customs even if you are just in transit and are not leaving the airport). I am a bit concerned that they will treat this like my POE, but I can't find anything online about it.
Does anyone know if this will be a problem or if there is anyone I can ask?Thanks!

It should be in my signature, USCIS stage was over 5 months (nebraska) and NVC was about 10 weeks, then we got a checklist and an expedite. PD was Sept 19, 2016

Finally on this final step! Our expedite was approved, so we are just waiting on our interview date now! Very exciting!

So I had to revert back to the old version before those updates occurred. But when I did this, I lost all the new entries from the last week.. SO i had to resubmit the questionnaires data into a new spreadsheet to retrieve all last weeks new entries.. But when I did this, I lost all of my manual updates I've made over the past few months... Please update your questionnaires with your latest status, this way it will update the spreadsheet.

I Just got a CC the 18th and the confirmation email today, no letter in the mail yet. So it was a total of 15 wks I asked why? They just said they missed it 😒

So glad for this forum!This is where i heard it was 4 weeks (or 30 days)
On the CEAC website, under check my status: We are at the point where it says send in your documents. Here is part of what they say
"Our current time to review submitted documents is 30 days. However, NVC will not review your file until we have received your form DS-260, the financial documents from the petitioner and the applicant's civil documents. At that time, we will let you know by letter or email if there is anything that is missing or incomplete."
Is this the 11 week period? Or is that something else?

Hi everyone! My documents were received by NVC on April 11, but I have yet to send the AOS package to NVC.
On the cover page checklist thing from NVC, it says we need evidence of income. If we submit tax returns, W2, and tax transcripts is this enough, or do I need my sponsor to also submit pay slips or something?

Hey all, sorry have been on vacation and out of the loop! We are working on our NVC package now, (FYI for those of you who recently got approved, the next steps go really fast!). My in-laws are working on getting their finance documents ready as my joint sponsor.
On the NVC checklist they send you, it says evidence of income as a requirement. Do I need to get my in-laws to submit this? They are submitting their tax forms, IRS transcripts, etc. Is that enough?

.... Now I just received 4 e-mails stating the same thing.It takes a while for them to send your case to NVC, its not instantaneous from the moment you are approved.
It will also take a while for NVC to receive your case (my case was sent on April 5th, and they put it in the system yesterday).
You are on track! I'd call the NVC in a week and ask if they have received it. If not (they may say it takes 6 weeks, but don't worry, it doesn't), just call again the next day.

I did the same, and had a super helpful rep. He said that although they have the case it may not be in the system yet. So wait a few days and try again!

I just got off the phone with NVC, they say it will take 6 weeks for the NVC to receive a case. This seems crazy! Anyone had their case received before them?

We were approved on March 20th! Who knew?! Not us! No notification via the website or email. I contacted our local USCIS office.
So exciting!

So I am seeing that many people who were transferred to Potomac only get their approval by mail. Has anyone of the Potomac transfer group gotten electronic notification of their approval? I'm getting a bit worried because it takes several months to get mail here (we currently live in Zambia).
Maybe I will have to call USCIS and see if we have been approved.

Just found out (by emailing our regional USCIS office in South Africa) that our case was transferred to Potomac.
