  1. I was less stressed over NOA2 because i followed the timelines on VJ, I would be stressed now if my case still wasn't processed because it's beyond the time the "timelines" say it should be, but that wasn't the case.

With NOA2 to NVC, there is NO method to track whatsoever. You just have to assume the process (box up a paper case packet, ship it, arrive to NVC, unpack, slap a barcode and scan) and while we think it should only take a certain amount of time, and that all the cases approved around the same time should be together, sometimes that's not the case. That's what makes it more stressful. Plus even when you get the case #, sometimes the case doesn't ship out right away to the embassy, so then you have to wait for that to happen. Again, no way to track, no way to know.

It would be interesting to try to gather data on what makes certain cases take longer than others for approval (NOA1-NOA2). I saw some people guess that the larger the case, the more and more the USCIS officer puts it off. I know if I saw a stack of 10 15-page cases or one 180-page case, I'd rather go for the stack and feel more productive. They also run a background check on every petitioner, so I wonder if people who've moved around a lot or have a difficult background, they take longer too. And obviously, the country of the beneficiary comes into play, but I wonder what exactly they do??? Is there a checklist they have to complete?? It would be interesting to know.

You are right but still :( We all want to get approved asap. :(

  3. The average is 2 weeks but there are outliers that are short or longer. They are required to make a decision within 90 days of receipt of your notice so if my some crazy chance you don't hear back by then, I would involve your congressman.

Do not worry though, most responses are within 2 weeks.

Thanks my sister filed I130 she got rfe and got approved in a week so is it depend on what they asking or??

Ando also some screenshots of your chats where you talk about the marriage wedding plans where your fiance says he / she can't wait to be married to you and stuff...just to support the letter

    Thankyouu

So just a query cuz I am going to send reply to my rfe tommorow they send us a envelop attached to the letter that has USCIS Address on that.so i have to put everything in that envelop right? And attached the blue paper at the top of the evidence.everything is done just to make sure .i am not missing anything
