i have a question with regards to shifting case. If i move to canada on super visa, can i transfer the case to us embassy in canada or they will not accept super visa as legal status in Canada? Thanks

There must be a directive given to them to do this stuff because I have now seen how the Abu Dhabi embassy operates and went through the process there and it is leagues ahead in efficiency. I don't believe any other embassies around the world are this bad either. 

I'm just glad I avoided all this mess and am through it. I incurred a lot of costs for getting residence, shifting my case and living in the UAE for a month or so but now it all seems worth it. 

Hi how long the whole process took in terms of initiating the request to shift the case from ISL to Abu Dhabi and getting the interview?

In terms of visit visa times it is same or mire than islamabad embassy  so ….

I dont know how to convince VISA officer ?

They will not listen anything till you give them formal letter or written document from relevant authority along with letter of explanation

If i m not wrong this visa category has long waiting time even in normal circumstances compare to sponsors of US citizens so I believe you need to add that additional waiting time as well

Hi all,

I have applied parents visa and there was request for additional documents from NVC. I have provided updated 1040 and W-2. In my mother application, they have accepted the documents without any message or qualification of documents. However, for my father account they have again mentioned to provide 1) proof of income and 2) case does not meet the minimum income requirement. However, my salary for 2022 tax return is 35,747 with 4 family members which is above required limit of  $34,687.  Please advise what I need to do now since I already have provided the required documents.

I received following messages  in account recently. 

1- Please submit XXXX (Applicant) Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin. 

2- Please submit XXXX (Joint Sponsor) Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin. 

3- This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

I have already provided w2/1099 documents. Please advise what is meaning of application not meeting minimum requirement and if this is the case why they asking to provide income evidence for joint sponsor?

Any help will be appreciated.

Anyone recently applied for B1/B2 visa renewal by submitting passport? I have submitted my passport to Dubai consulate and it has been more than 21 working days without any update. Any idea how long it has been taking?

do self employed people have form W2 or 1099?

i have sent the email to NVC and they replied saying we have requested financial documents and waiting for that. What is confusing is they are asking to provide W2-1099 for sponsor and joint sponsor and both of them are self employed. So 1040 is provided and it is accepted. However, they are asking to provide W2-1099 which are not available. Kindly assist what should I do in this case?

see attached. all queries have been replied and updated status is attached.

All documents are submitted status and accepted.

No email came for documentary qualified. And this is the whole issue, all documents are accepted but DQ email is not come and its more than 1 year

Hi Group members,

I have applied for my parents immigration visa IR5. There was some documents replacement request which was re-submitted and accepted 13 Feb 2021. On the online portal "Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence" and "civil documents" status appears as accepted since that date. However, I have not received any further email from NVC or interview date. I have sent several online queries via Ask NVC, yet no reply is received. My consulate is Islamabad. Kindly advise if anyone has faced any similar situation or if knows what next to be done?

I m pakistan national and I live in pakistan but marriage was done in new york. We didnt live together. Now since I m muslim, for religious purpose, I can send divorce from here which i will do and it will be done, but for her, my concern is, will it be accepted in usa?
