  1. Hello TomYu

I sent my 129f to Nebraska on the July 3rd. The Holidays held it up until the 5th. I didn't get my NOA1 until the 18th. But my received date was the 11th at CSC. So they forwarded mine from NSC to CSC pretty fast. I'd hand in there as snail mail from CA is pretty slow. But when you receive your NOA1 your received date shouldn't be too bad.

Mine hasn't been touched since the 15th but I'm being very patient as CSC has finally started moving the old petitions out. Eventually they'll get caught up and start getting into the newer ones, like ours.

    Good Luck

PS Did you send your sweetheart in China any flowers for July 31st? July 31st is Valentines day in China. If you want a link for a flower shop in China PM me.

  2. Hi Keith, I hope things are very speedy in Guangzhou for you and your fiance. My fiance is from Guangzhou. Sounds like we've got several things in common. I'm originally from Michigan. Born and raised in Bay City for 35 years. I moved to Ohio with my job with GM and I'm marrying a lady (Yuxia) from China.

Good luck on acquiring your interview.

  3. The reason I contacted Lynn Wachtmann was because I know him on a personal level and wanted his advise on how to handle this situation. I have edited my letter and sent it on to both Voinovich and DeWine's offices.

I know I'm new to this waiting game and I'm not trying to belittle any current member who's already waited an unendurable amount of time. I'm trying to show some people in power just how bad our situation is. I'm also not trying to inflict any bad vibes towards Vermont. I'm merely trying to get the CSC to come close to mirroring the track record of Vermont. After all like michellek1976 said. We all pay the same price for processing why should the unlucky many that get sent to CSC be burdened with a wait three times what Vermont has. As a tax payer I and We are entitled to better service than they are rendering.

  4. I’m not sure if anybody else has done this in the past but I just wrote a letter to my senator in Ohio. Mr. Lynn Wachtmann. I've met Lynn many times in the past and felt like venting. I'm damn upset with the decision to transfer Ohio petitions to CSC when I feel they should have been transferred to Vermont. I doubt that anything can be done about my petition now as far as Vermont is concerned. But I brought to Lynn's attention the large difference in processing times between VSC and CSC. I asked Lynn to rattle some chains at CSC. I don't know if this will help but CSC is a disgrace to a tax paying American. I'm now retired from GM and I would like to get on with my life, but CSC is nothing but a road block to my and all of your happiness.

Sorry I don't have the patience for the ####### in CSC. They make my blood boil.

How can the USCIS turn a blind eye or completely ignor the difference between Vermont and California?

  5. Ah, Thanks for the edit Mew. Here's a copy paste of my status;

    Receipt Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status:

Your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received on July 12, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

You can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via email. Please click here to create an account online.

My receipt number doesn't look like a link. The date received on July 12th, 2006. Is this the date that will change?

No, the date it was received won't change. Take a look at my previous post and see if it works. Let me know how it goes, okay? :)

    Ah, Thanks Mew!

I had registered once before and tried to log in but it must take some time for the procedure to recognize your login. It does now. We're actually logging in and checking our portfolio. I've finally got it. Thanks!

I also read the link refering to newbie's always asking about the case status. There were some very valid topics within. I strugled early with the acronyms and kept getting very frustrated that there was no glossary. I use searchs to obtain help and couldn't get anything on a glossary. I still didn't post asking about acronyms even though I was GM management and hated acronyms with a passion you can't stop the trend now days. I finally found the acronyms by looking up definations, I think. But I never searched on touch or touched or even USCIS Touched because I figured it would bring up every post and that wouldn't help. I think I went through the FAQ looking with no results either. But all in all I see the need for some of these items to be covered in FAQ

    Thanks for all your help.

Newbies when you learn something new it helps remove the newbie status.

When you can help a newbie it relieves some of the frustrations from the senior members.

So I stand ready with my little bit of information!

  7. :help: I've received my NOA1 via snail mail. I went to the USCIS status link and entered the number and turned on my email notification. But I can't see any touches. Am I supposed to look somewhere else for touches? I'm in the pokey CSC but I still see references from other members of touches within a few days of receiving the petition.

So my question is will I receive email notification from every touch, since I turned to email on, or am I supposed to check for touches somewhere else?

I was received July 11th and my check was drawn from my account on July 18th

    Thanks

  8. Ya baby, I just received our NOA1 in the mail. Received 7/11 and Notice date of 7/12.

I went to the USCIS status page and loged in and turned on email notification. Is that how everybody knows when they're touched? Will I get an email everytime they touch my petition?

Thanks for all the well wishing! My baby in China is elated that were off and running.

    Clare

  9. Thanks everybody, you all know how to make a fella feel welcome. I sure wish this process wasn't so slow; I want my baby with me. Something tells me patience is a virtue.

Good luck to all of you as well!

Hello and welcome to VJ, and good luck with your journey! You will not receive your case number from the USCIS. You will get a "Receipt Number" however, and that number you can use to register for online updates from the USCIS.

When your case does get approved, and goes to the NVC, they will assign a case number and send it on to Guangzhou. Again, you can use your USCIS Receipt Number to contact the NVC and get your DOS case number, if it has been assigned at that time.

Regardless, you've got a wait in front of you before that will happen. Untill then, just relax and be patient.

OMG, your getting married tomorrow. GREAT BIG CONGRATULATIONS! YLD (you lucky dog)

    kiss the bride for me.

  10. Thank you for filling out timeline. That is a big help for everyone

Your petition will be forwarded to the california service center as NSC is no longer processing I-129F. It has been taking from 2 to 3 weeks at the outside before you will get your NOA1

Did you use the new I-129F form or the old one with the 5/23/06 cancellation date. If you used the new one you have already answered the IMBRA questions. If you used the old one, expect to get either an RFE (request for evidence) or the whole package back.

    Thanks dwar49

Bummer, disappointed hearing about NSC, oh well. why couldn't they have sent Ohio's to Vermont, they have a better track record.

I used the current form that says expires 12/31/06, so I should have complied with IMBRA, cool.

  11. Hello to the Board

My fiancée lives in Guangzhou, China

I mailed our petition July 4th and they received it on the 8th at the NSC. I've yet to receive a case number how long does that take. When I receive a case number is that considered the NOA1?

I wish I would have found this site prior to filling. In any event after reading the assembly instructions posted here the only items missing from my petition are; No header page, and I didn't write any dates on the pictures. I did include a copy of the stamps in my passport and a bunch of copied receipts for hotels and tourists attractions we visited plus a copy of all of my flight stubs.

I'm unsure of how the IMBRA process works. Neither of us has a record. I had a certified copy of her Birth, Being Single and no record of crime from her birth to when I was in China; however I included no transcripts of my clean slate. Was I supposed to acquire some kind of proof of no record? Also we didn't go through a marriage broker but met by pure chance on match.com. Was I supposed to have some kind of proof of our meeting. I did include our statements of intent. So my question boils down to will I be mailed an RFE for my crime record even if there is no record or proof of our meeting?

Thanks for any guidance you may provide.

    Clare
