Hi. Yes, she received her GC before the 18 month window expired. I got impatient and contacted USCIS through the online portal and told them the situation. Instead of answering my inquiry, it seemed like they just approved her because within a week we got a notice saying the GC was being created.
My recommendation is just to keep bugging them and maybe they will process your application.

I got through almost immediately by dialing the number and not hitting a single button afterward. Various automated prompts in both English and Spanish will come up but eventually a Spanish speaking rep will pick up and you can say "English Please". Oh yeah, and this call was made in the middle of the day during operating hours.
