Yes you are right on that. In the u.s so many couples are not married but they have kids. But when it comes to uscis and immigrations things dont work like that. They get suspicious from every single thing. I am just trying to see the problem my friend. Hopefully you will get your visa and your kid will be in a good condition. If I was rude, I am sorry.

Nothing to do with having a child. Me andy Fiance have a 2 month old daughter. It didn't even come up in the interview about her and hos visa was issued today!

It took them about 11 business days from the date I sent in the RFE for USCIS to approve my case.

Question, After the NVC says they receive your case how long until they are able to provide the case number? They woman I just spoke with said it could take up to 2 weeks to enter my case in their system.

If they have received your case they should give you the number within a day or two.

He said they told him he was approved after he sends those in, but our case on CEAC still just says "Ready" not AP. i thought that was weird too but I'm not stressing over it. According to the other forum London Embassy requires long form. Did you get a 221g as well?

Did he receive a firm or anythibg to send with his original birth certificate? Did they tell him how to send it in?

If i was him, i would priority order a new long form to be on the safe side. Copies are apparently not permissible at all, and they require the long form. Maybe they'll take it but if he orders one now he'll get it on Tuesday and that way it won't set you back much.

K-1 Visa approved Alex has to send his birth certificate in by mail (he accidentally brought a copy) but then we're free and clear. Hope to be married the 2nd week of Dec

For those on the United Kingdom and going to the Embassy in London, how was the interview? What all did they ask for?

Also, one way tickets from London to Los Angeles or San Francisco are ridiculously priced right now!!! Lowest we have found is $1700 ONE WAY!

We were hoping he'd be here for Christmas, as we have a one minth old baby girl and it will be her first Christmas. Also, when he is out of the RAF he has no where to work or go. Except out here. So, postponing it wouldn't be ideal.

He's going to bring a letter from his higher ups stating the date of last day of actual service as well as his last day of work. Which is only two weeks after his interview.

My fiancé has his interview on Nov 22nd. He is still in the RAF until discharge on January 31st. However, hus last day of work for the RAF is Dec. 6th. Will this pose a problem? He obviously isn't coming out until after he is finished. I'm just worried they will deny him and we will have to start all over again

Maybe not. My divorce was finalized mid July. NOA1 as if Aug 3rd, NOA2 Sept 14th. May not be the divorce issue.

You can, but it's pretty highly unlikely that they will already have your case. It has to ship from CA to NH- and then they have to process it.

My NOA2 date was Sept 15 and they still don't have my case. I haven't seen any case numbers assigned for people whose NOA2 dates were after Sept 13 yet.

Our NOA2 was Sept 14th. We got our NVC number on Sep 28th.
