Ask your questions and everyone will do their best to help you :-)

It is my understanding that you go by your gross income, not after taxes. You can also submit a letter from your current employer stating your annual salary/income. It must be on company letterhead and include their address and phone number.

If I receive income from social security for a child and the check is in my name as the payee, do I include it as my income or do they, as a minor, need to fill out something?

Yes this is correct. Himself you and his daughter. And according to the 2016 guidelines the amount is $25,200 minimum.

I have the same question, my fiance is divorced and he has 7 years old girl but he isn't a custody of his daughte, means his ex wife keeps the child. So I wonder if he should list his daughter as a full dependent or not? Thank you so much.
Yes he must claim her even if he pays no support for her in any way.

I would include a letter of explanation AND the Irs tax information showing this income is non-taxable. Good luck !

Wow...looks like they haven't even gotten their visa yet. I expected the cast to be further along in the process than that

But must we wait in CJ for the visa or can we go back to Veracruz and wait for it to be delivered?
-
Now I am confused. I assumed after the interview for our CR1 spouse visa, we would go back and wait for the visa to come in the mail. We do not plan to wait days in CJ for the visa.

This is a question for the tax accountants. However, taxes are for money earned in the US. My understanding is that if I make the money in the US I pay US taxes on it. But If I spend it in Mexico, I dont pay income tax in Mexico, because I did not EARN it in Mexico. Similarly with state tax, you pay state tax based on which state the money was earned in.
