Can you try calling their helpline? I would imagine that stamp is a sort of "received on" just in case it becomes separated. Is the stamp the same for each page? Different? What does it say?

It's the exact same for each page. It has a whole bunch of numbers that I can't tell the meaning of, but then at the end it has a time and date stamp and I-751-more numbers. In addition to the rejection letter, there's a green paper that says I should put the green paper on top of my new filing package. I assume that means I need to re-print all my evidence since it says new?

  2. My husband experienced this as well. The time before his EAD came was so hard. I'm not sure where you are, or what resources you have available, but he could look into volunteering at a school possibly working with spanish classes, giving presentations about his home. If there's a college or university nearby, maybe he could try tutoring in Spanish.

I know it was also helpful for my husband that I compliment him a lot. It was so hard for him being home all day while I was at work, when I got home it helped if I was consistent about reminding him how much I appreciate him and his sacrifice to move so far from home.

  3. I really don't know any of the 'whys', but my husband was able to get his Real ID when he got his driver's license in February. He had to have his social security card with him, but that was the only thing that I can remember that they really needed for it (besides the regular proof of address, passport, etc)

Hi guys. I just checked USCIS website about the processing timelines and saw that my field office ( Phoenix, AZ ) is currently processing cases from October, 2016. How about yours?

I checked ours (Wichita KS) and it is currently processing August 28, 2016, but last updated May 31st. Which means roughly 9 months until they should be processing ours if things stay consistent.

So following my story, my packet was delivered on July 12th at the Chicago Lockbox and I haven't heard anything yet. Today I called and this man told me that it can take from 25 to 35 days to answer (when previously on Friday they told me they have 10 days to give a response). He told me to call back in 10 days if I haven't heard anything, so I'll call next Thursday if I have no news.. :(

We mailed our packet on July 13th, delivered on July 16th and we've heard nothing so far either. Hopefully our packets are sitting in the office together and we'll hear something soon!

    Hello All,

My Fiancee and I are trying to schedule an interview in Nairobi and are confused about the payment of the fees.

The instructions we received through email say we must 1st pay the MRV Fee to book an interview.

Calling the embassy number we are told that we must 1st book an interview and then we pay the MRV fee.

Can someone let me know  which is first.

    Thanks,

You have to pay the fee first. Then you'll get some kind of receipt/confirmation number which you'll use to schedule the interview.

Hey guys. We are wondering what kind of birth certificate you submitted. Is the short version from the subcounty acceptable? We just found out today that there is a "long version" you can get from Kampala at the National Registry of Births and Deaths or something like that. Is that the one required?

You're going to want the long one. Or at least that's the one my fiance used.

Hey everyone. I had my interview in Nairobi on Wednesday last week and I got approved, I got my visa and am now back in Kampala. The CO officer never asked to see any of the evidence I had brought, she simply interviewed me and that was all. We had frontloaded

Congrats!! Enjoy the rest of the journey :)

  9. My fiance had most of his immunizations as a child, but they weren't documented because his mother gave them to him at home. He went to a clinic and told them which ones he had and when they were and they transferred them to an immunization card that he took with him to IOM for his medical. At his medical, he only had to get three immunizations.

wowwwwwww, so happy for u guys. That means they didnt ask him so much about why u had seen each other only twice? That gives me a lot of hope. I am here waiting to schedule an interview but there are no available dates

Thanks! I haven't gotten all the details from my fiance yet on what they did or didn't ask specifically.
