    It is very unkind from your part to expect someone to leave everything behind for you and still test them to make sure you are not being used. If you do not trust her, do not get married.

    In trying to protect yourself from being abused you are becoming the abuser.

    Also, think that she will be here in a completely new place, with no friends, no family, just you and your daughter. Delaying the AOS will mean that she will not be allowed to travel to her home country to visit family or for any emergencies until you decide that you trust her and file the AOS. How awful would it be for her or anyone to not be able to go to your home country to visit family when there is an emergency? So, she will feel trapped in a country she doesn't know with little options because you are not capable of trusting your wife.

    Don't do that to her or anyone.

    Thank you!

    I am trying to avoid RFEs and interviews because I do not want to use my vacation days for interviews. I want to go on vacation this year hopefully :)

    I think it is more important the kind of evidence we sent more than the amount so no matter how many pages you sent, but how strong they show a "good faith marriage"

    Hi! and welcome..

    Also for the bank accounts make sure you send them back to the month from the inception of marriage, they state that in the instructions that you need to send evidence from the date you got married, so make sure you have evidence dating back to the day you got married.

    Also, do you have any house mortgages or deeds with both names on it? or apartment leases?

    Any retirement accounts or health insurance accounts showing each other as beneficiaries?

    Hi guys, sending ROC Package today. So far we have in our packet:

    2 passport pictures of me( does the USC also need passport pics? )

    2 years of joint lease agreements

    2 joint vehicle purchases

    Proof of auto and renters insurance with both our names

    Phone bill with both our names

    Joint Bank statements dating back to the month I received my GC

    Joint credit card

    2 years of jointly filed tax returns

    Several Photos of both of us and friends

    Check for $590

    Any other recommendations?

    wow that is a lot of documents lol!!!! my package isn't close to a quarter of what u got haha... it's so weird during my AOS process I sent in very few documents and never got an RFE and my approval was relatively fast. For this ROC I only sent my 2014 & 2015 tax, divorce paper, life insurance document, copies of my GC and a utility bill. Hopefully my stars align once again :rofl:

    I didn't sent anything for my AoS lol. I only sent my marriage certificate, didn't get a REF either. When I had my interview I just gave some pictures and insurance I think, that was all. This time I was kind of scared though because people talk about sending 10 lb of paper and getting RFEs. Hopefully we have better luck :)

    Anyone else here thinking of sending additional supporting documents? The NOA1 extension letter says we can still send documents, but all correspondence should include a copy of the NOA1.

    I was thinking of sending in more joint utility bills. I'm missing about 6 months of utility bills between June 2014 and August 2016, but I already sent 18 months worth of those bills. Do we have to send in the complete set?

    I am not thinking of sending more evidence. My package was not as heavy as others but I think I do have enough good evidence . I think that if you are confident on the things you sent you could just wait and see if they ask for anything. Unless you feel that you miss something important.

    I would only send more if they take too long just to give them updated information.

    I checked my delivery tracking number, I noticed that the zip code where it says was delivered was different. Now I am freaking out. My GC expires on Sep 30. :( we had some emergencies and we lost all of our savings so I couldn't send it before.

    Has anyone with a tracking number checked their packages? I am wondering if maybe it shows that zip code for all packages, the zip code was 92677.

    Mine was delivered on Friday, so by what people has said here, they should cash my check today. I am hoping they do, it will give me some peace of mind :)

    Hi,

    I sent my package on September 14 to CSC. I was given a tracking number and I sent it through priority mail through USPS. I checked the tracking confirmation today and it says it was delivered to Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 when the address is Laguna Niguel 92607!! I am pretty sure I had the right address because I checked more than twice! and also my receipt has the 92607 zip code.

    Now I am a bit nervous because my Conditional card expires on September 30! I had my package ready since the beginning of my 90 days window but first I was waiting on the correction of my house deed, they had my husband's name misspelled :( and also we were so tight on money because an unexpected emergency where we lost all of our savings :(

    Has anyone had any experience with this, I am hoping and praying that the check is cashed so that I know it is in the right place, but I would like to have some reassurance. Anyone with a similar situation? If I have to I will put the package again, I just would like to do it as soon as possible.

    Since you already have the Conditional GC then you should be able to obtain the Permanent GC by removing conditions by yourself with a divorce waiver. Once you are divorced you can begin the ROC by yourself with the divorce decree. You will still need to prove that the marriage was entered in good faith, so gather all evidence you can right now.

    I do not know for sure if you can force your wife to support you, so I can't say anything about that.

    Biometrics completed two weeks ago but no update

    Thank you! I just checked his account online (not the case status but his actual online account where he filed his form) and it says that his biometrics were completed on August 16, so that gives me some piece of mind. I just wanted to update. He has his receipt from the biometrics appointment (stamped appointment letter) so I am guessing he will be fine. I will ask him to call if nothing changes.

    Does anyone know how long it would take for him to receive his renew green card? he will probably be back by November or December.

    I helped my father-in-law to complete his green card renewal about a month ago, we did it online. We received his biometrics appointment but because he needed to travel to Mexico to see his dad because of heath issues he did a walk-in and thankfully they took him in on August 16 (the original date for his biometrics was Sep 1) at the time he did his biometrics they extended his Green Card with a sticker until May 2017.

    So he is now in Mexico taking care of his dad, but I have been checking his status and it is still not updated. it still say that they sent the biometrics letter on August 12. Is this normal? I just do not want to make my father -in-law feel rush to come back if the biometrics were not properly completed or did not went through.. I am sure he did his biometrics because I drove him.

    ROC questions, and how thick was your package?

    Hi everyone!

    I am putting together my ROC pckage and I am wondering if I should add more pages to it. I read that some people send really heavy packages (more than 4lb) and then get RFEs, and my ROC is so small I am afraid it may seem like I don't have enough. It is maybe like an inch thick or less, but I think I have some solid evidence, I did not include every month for each bank account, I did those quarterly to save some space. If anyone could please let me know if I should do anything different I would appreciate it. This is my list:

    Tab A -Financial

    • 2014-15 Tax Transcripts

    • Joint bank checking accounts statements (about 4 per year)

    • Joint bank savings account statements (about 4 per year)

    • Joint credit card account statements ( about 4)

    • Copy of credit cards where my husband is an authorized user (two cards)

    • Health insurance (vision and dental) showing husband as my dependent

    • Life insurance beneficiaries showing each other’s names

    • Retirement beneficiaries showing each other’s names

    • Car title copy both names on it

    • Car insurance statements (could not get any from 2014 so I requested a history changes statement and a letter from the company stating names history since 2013)

    • Current driver licences showing same address


    Tab B -Household

    • House deed both name on it (fixing his name because it was misspelled)

    • Property Tax documents (showing husband’s misspelled name, should I include an explanation of the mistake Or just not include it?)

    • Home insurance listing husband and wife as names insured (again working on correcting husband’s misspelled name)

    • Electric bills with both names on it

    • Apartment lease with both names on it from 2014-2015 and electric service application listing husband as habitant of the apartment

    • Furniture loan application with both names on it

    • Cell Phone bills showing same account and calls between both numbers

    • Veterinary bills with both names on it

    • Different letters addressed to me or my husband with the same address including medical bills, election registration mail etc.



    Tab D -Travel, pictures and affidavits

    • Travel itinerary from a trip we took together

    • One Affidavit (is it necessary? I still have to ask someone to write it for me)
