I got the email. My greencard is being produced!! I am soo happy and excited. The LIN number ahead of me changed on Friday (card is being produced) and I was feeling a bit low because of that. Lo and behold, my status changed today!
I filed 26th Dec 2018. They received it 31st December 2019.
I got a RFE in Oct, which I replied within a day or two, and they received it on 28th October.

Either way, you'd need your unexpired UK Passport, Expired Green Card, and I-797 extension letter before you can enter. Alternatively, you would've required a stamp from USCIS before you left, but I guess that ship has sailed.

If you haven't received your EAD card you cannot work. What you are doing is illegal and if you are caught, it can land you in some serious trouble. My suggestion is that you quit your job immediately and wait to receive your EAD card. It takes about 90 days (not including days lost due to RFE) for you to receive work authorization.
