  1. I called nvc a while ago because its been a month since they got the mail and the lady who i talked to said they're still waiting for my husband's passport copy and other docs. I told her that the i already sent them in. and she told me they havent review it but they got the mail

on june 26th. ????????. she sounds really irritated.

Call again and confirm with another rep. I hope everything is fine with the review. My scan date is July 1st so hoping for CC next week.

  2. I told I-864A not I-864.

Oh god, I freaked out. Thank you. Sorry about the confusion.

We can call NVC and confirm it, but for India I believe you are required to get PCC.

Ok ill call then , its only because previously i had other relatives who only took the pcc to the interview , they never had to send it to nvc

If thats the case, than call them and confirm. If you can provide it directly at interview you can save some time.

  3. Hey guys,

My second scan date is 12th of July, I had to resend the I-864A form of my mother-in-law, couse she only put her sign in one of two places that the form needs. Should I wait till August 12th or I should give a call to NVC earlier?

    Thanks :)

I thought there was only one signature require on I-864. I am getting nervous. I am looking at I-864 and I only see one space for sponsor's signature.

    Thank You.

Those of who did not had to send the PCC to nvc how did u find out that you were not required to send it to the nvc?

We can call NVC and confirm it, but for India I believe you are required to get PCC.

  4. After a long delay due to Indian passport name change requirement to obtain the police clearance, we finally sent out the NVC package and got a scan date of 7/21/16. From what I seen the average is 30 days wait before you get a case complete. Hoping for a smooth process until the interview.

Completely agree with you. It happen to my brother in law as well. Luckily, it didn't cause a huge delay but still it was a fair bit of time for him (almost 10 days). Yes, 30 days seems to be normal. Good Luck!!

  5. Hello ,

I've few queries regarding the PCC for NVC stage

Im a resident of City X , india but have stayed in A, B and C 9 all cities in India in the last 8 years ( after 18th B'day) and finally back to X.

    1) Is the PCC required from all the 4 cities or just the current one ?

    2) whats the procedure for obtaining from cities where i've got no residential proof now ?

    3) Had anyone else faced a similar issue?

Please help , and sorry for bothering you :)

    good luck !!

    Cheers !

Just went through the process of getting PCC for my wife and brother in law.

You are only required to get PCC from the current resident state. Only PCC you are required to get is from passport regional office in your current state. I am not sure about residential proof, but go ahead and schedule an appointment for PCC and they will direct you regarding the documents.

No need to say sorry!! Good Luck!

  7. Hello VJ family.

I received the checklist from NVC (Spouse Visa) and I was not sure about one item. Under the section of Photocopies of Supporting Documents, there is an item the is called "Petitioner documents". Please, does anyone knows what is it? Thanks.

Also, can we send the documents electronically or not everyone is qualify to do so? Thanks.

    Attached is the screen shot

    Thank you for the help.

At this point not everyone is qualified for electronic processing. Please confirm with NVC regarding your qualifications.

You are not required to send Petitioner documents as it is spose visa. It is only applicable if you are sponsoring your parents or siblings.

    Hope this would help.

  8. NVC received my AOS and IV package on July 15 but I still haven't gotten an email from them with the scan date. I called last night and an agent confirmed they received package on July 15. It's been 6days now, is this normal guys. I'm just curious.

Yes, it is normal that you haven't received an email yet. The most important thing is that the agent confirmed that they received your package in timely manner.

well im still near my scan date is the June 17 and I called and they up to 6 weeks they wont tell me anything els and its heartbreaking

Just hang in there. I know this wait is a killer.

  9. Question along with this tracking number. I sent mine today over night with USPS and asked for signature at delivery. Will this be a problem getting them to sign for the package? It is to be delivered before 12 noon tomorrow. I hope I didn't make a mistake asking for signature. Has anyone else requested them to sign for receipt?

I don't think it should be a problem. I sent mine via FedEx and when I check my status online it shows up who picked up the package. So most likely someone will be there to sign your package.

  10. Checking in..

Paid AOS fee yesterday. Just sent my IV and AOS packets today and Submitted the Ds-261. Now what should I expect?

Call NVC and review DS-261. After reviewing your DS-261 your IV fees will be invoiced. Once you pay IV fees DS-260 will be available.

During this time try to gather all information required for DS-260.
