  1. I did an inquiry back in July as my SRC case (also transferred to NBC in Oct 2020) was outside processing time for Texas.  I got a quick response and it said I would hear within 90 days.  It is past that in calendar days but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they meant business days.  That would push the 90 days into somewhere mid-November.  I may do another inquiry if I haven’t heard by then.

the reason for the transfer was to “speed up processing”.  Ironic huh?

    Processing times were updated.

For Orlando, Florida it shows that as of 10/31/2017 they are working on 04/01/2017 for I-485 . grrrrrr

I have noticed more people getting an interview but not enough - they should be way past march filers by now. that was two months ago.

Dallas has moved ahead only a few days in a monh.  Still working on November 2016.

I was thinking about sending in AP app  since  I didn't do it with the original applications. How exactly did you go about doing it? did you just write a letter explaining this is part of a previous submitted AOS application?

I’d like to know too as I didn’t apply for EAD or AP with my AOS.  I need a valid form of US identification for my Texas driver’s license and they won’t accept my K1 visa (obviously expired) or my I-797-C.

If I can add these applications at no cost at this point it might be worth doing.   Been in “ready to schedule” an interview since May 23rd!

  4. You booked an interview before getting the p4 thats why it was cancelled. Submit checkslist and ds-160 confirmation. Wait for p4. Then book interview. I-134 is fine if its downloaded directly from USCIS website; you bring it to interview. Sponsor and co-sponsor do the i-134. Spouse doesnt need to. They will, however, probably need an i-864a when you adjust status.

Thank you.....so I use the iv e-mail address to do that?

  5. Hi, okay, think I got things out of order and this whole submitting a DS160 online differs from the Consulate Guide. Can anyone who has been through the Canadian process recently help me out?

This is what has happened to date:

Sept 7- Consulate rec'd, status ready, booked interview

Sept 7 - DS160 submitted online, confirmation printed

Sept 22 - Rec'd hard copy of approved I-129F and letter dated Sept 16, requesting proof of Canadian citizenship, replied immediately to IV e-mail address as website link provided in the letter would not open, followed up with the link on the 23rd (it worked that day)....no way to attach the information

Oct 11 - notification e-mail that interview had been cancelled, no reason given, status ready, rescheduled

Oct 13 - received official Packet 3 e-mail, it was attached to my e-mail containing the citizenship proof

So, I took a breather for a few days and am ready to go again, lol.

    Questions:

    1. Do I resubmit the DS160? If so, as originally filed?

    2. Do I simply submit the checklist?

    3. Do they require all pages of my passport?

    4. Form I-134 is out of date, says February 29, 2016....are they still accepting these?

    5. Co-sponsor and spouse file income tax together, do they both need to fill out a form?

    6. Both have income so answer to dependant question should be partially correct?

I feel like I have made an entire mess of this! Please share what you can, I need help and encouragement!

  7. Got an e-mail cancelling my interview. Is this because they finally recieved my citizenship proof? Status says ready to book interview, so I rebooked.....Nov 23rd

    Getting paranoid here....lol

  8. Just thought I'd share my experience yesterday in case it is of some help to others.

I have not been in the US in just over a year. My K1 process is at the interview stage, Oct 26th to be exact.

My fiance's daughter is getting married this weekend in Vegas. I was pretty optimistic that given how far along my application was that I would be allowed in for 4 days for this family event, It was not to be.

I was refused entry and was told that as an intended immigrant I was not allowed in at all until the visa was in hand.

This is a direct contradiction to what the officer escorting out to my car told me when I commented that I had read that visits were allowed. He said that they are but they are strongly discouraged, especially if you have no ties. I sold my house a year ago, my lease has reverted to month to month after a year and I am retired on disability. Despite having print outs of confirmations and receipts, including the interview date, I did not have enough proof to assure them of my return.

I knew the experience could go either way so I was not terribly distraught about being refused, what is irratating is that the information out there is confusing and conflicting.

still optimistic about my interview and at least I was treated with a little more respect than in the past. Although the officer who said he didn't understand what I meant about documentation of my visa process thus far seemed a blatant lie.

  9. So, if all goes well at the interview the plan is to drive across with my fiance and dogs in my own vehicle......compliance letter in hand etc. My fiance's daughter and spouse will drive a Uhaul across with my belongings (professionally packed for the long haul to Texas).

What forms/inventory do I need to prepare for this adventure?

I'm starting to pack up non-essentials, do I inventory contents of each box in detail or are general descriptions (eg: books, small kitchen appliances etc) acceptable?
