I was filing out ds 260 and came across this question full name in native alphabets. What should i write here. Since it does not allow us to write in urdu. Can i check the box technology not applicable?

When you got your case number and IN on the phone did you wait to get the welcome email before submitting the ds261? I didn't wait I went ahead and filled and submit it .i called after and the agent said he can't review it because they have not sent me the email yet. Please share you experience with me.thanks

Yes i did the same as u did. But lady told me to wait for welcum email. I got email after 2,3 days. Paid aos and then I called for review. So u have to wait for email?

Called NVC today they received my case yesterday! Told me to call back in 2 weeks for my case #... Do i wait the whole 2 weeks or do i call back next week lol

I got my case no on 11th day so u can start calling next week

Have you called NVC to review your DS-261? Once that is reviewed, it usually takes less than 48hrs to unlock the IV fee.

Yes i did. It was reviewed on 28th. Hopefully i will get it in a couple of days

As of my experience it took 2 days but expect it will be within 2 to 4 days

Still waiting IV fee to be unlocked, do i have to wait untill its unlocked then then move to next step or what ? And what is next step after i pay IV fee ?

When you click on iv it will be invoiced. It will show amount u have to pay.Like when i select iv fee now it says $0.0 because its not unlocked yet. And i also think that we will get email for iv fee but i m not sure about that

Just called the NVC and have my ds-261 reviewed, the agent told me it take up to a week to see next invoice..how can i know if the IV fee is unlocked ? Knowing that it was showing PAY NOW before ds-261 was reviewed..

I m in the same boat. My ds 261 was reviewed over the phone yesterday. Now waiting for iv to get unlocked:/

No you don't have to wait till AOS fee shows paid.

There are two barcode sheet. One you will receive in the welcome email from NVC also called as cover sheet. We use this sheet to check all the documents that we are sending to NVC. For the AOS and IV barcode sheet you have to print from the caec website where you made the payment. Click on in process in the AOS fee section. Scroll down to the bottom on the page and thats where you will find to document cover sheet. Make two copies of this page. Use on for AOS document and another one for IV documents.

One more quetion i want to ask. Do i also have to send cover sheet from nvc welcum email. Or i could just send my own written cover letter?

And i printed aos cover sheet twice. But for iv do i have to remove aos from cover sheet?

Ksma, when did you complete choice of agent (ds-261)? And did u call them to have it reviewed or you waited till they sent u email with welcome letter? Btw i did form ds-261 on 9/26/2016.thnx

I submitted ds 261 on sep 23. Then i waited for 2 days to get aos fee invoiced. But it was not unlocked. So i called nvc yesterday. She refused to do review, and told me to wait for welcome email.I got email this morning.so 4 days after case no i paid aos fee

Thats AWESOME!!! If you haven't already make sure you get the DS-261 reviewed or else you wouldn't be able to pay the IV fee right after the AOS show paid.

And what is barcoded cover sheet we send with aos and iv pakage? Is it the one we get in welcome letter?

I talked to an agent at NVC who confirmed that they received my case yesterday and that it takes 2 weeks to get it all in the system. Should I call every couple of days to see if I can get the case number or does it really take 2 weeks?

I have read on this forum that some people got their numbers on the phone and were able to pay and do choice of agent even before they got their welcome letter?

I started calling on 9th day after case recieved in Nvc. My case no was assigned in 11 days. And i filled ds 261 right away

Finally recieved email from Nvc with welcome letter and Paid Aos fee:)

Just got off from the phone. Lady agreed to do review but then she said we just recieved your case and you have to wait for welcum letter from nvc, which can take upto 4 weeks. I dont know why so much delay:(

I called Nvc and lady told me that your case just entered. Please wait for email or welcome letter from Nvc. It can take time to generate fee. I am Confused now?

Submitted ds 261 on friday. Aos still not unlocked. Should i call Nvc to review over the phone?

Yes it was just assigned. And i submitted ds 261 right away

3-4 weeks is average for NVC to receive the case from USCIS and more important to issue you the IV bills so you can start the process. Once they received all your civil docs and give you a scan date, it will be another 3-6 weeks of waiting until CC/ case closed and you get your interview date. So you are better of to NOT read this topic here yet and see all those happy people getting CCs since you have about 2 months ahead of you still .

As for me SCAN DATE was 15 Aug. so hoping for a CC soon. As for 3 N/A my AOS says EXEMPT and I guess it will stay that way.

Finally after 3 weeks of approval Case sent to department of state. How long it will now take for NVC to recieve my case?
