Hi all, just starting out on our NVC journey. I've been wondering what the current time is to get a case number assigned and wanted to pass this info on; our I130 approved 2/6, mailed to NVC 2/17, NVC received 2/24, case number assigned yesterday 3/1. I had a nice rep on the phone, she was about to process the DS261 for me over the phone but said its not yet available and to call back after receiving the welcome letter and submit it over the phone, as it saves a few weeks' time. Should i not fill out the DS261 online until i call them? Thanks for sharing your knowledge, everyone.
Finalllyyyy approved 2/6/17 with PD of 8/5/16. Was on the phone with my wife just around midnight last night and heard her begin to scream. I thought there was a spider in her room (she hates those). "Check the App, we're approved!". Interestingly enough I checked the app at around 6pm eastern time thinking any approval wouldn't come in for the rest of the day. Didn't think I would find it at midnight. Looks like they approved a good amount of apps yesterday. I continue to keep my fingers crossed for all going through this journey
