Here in Florida, he was required to show either I-94 or NOA1 and marriage certificate after filing AOS. I-94 gives your a DL until the I-94 expires. And the NOA gives you a DL for one year. NOA1 is better. Granted, my husband also has his social security since he filed for one the minute he arrived into the states showing the social security office his i-94.

ok, we have the marriage certificate.

but my I94 expired. so i think i should bring as much things as possible to the DMV office then.

    Thanks~~

As already mentioned to the CHT in a pm.

I did not include the envelope. I did included a copy of the completed (and correctly marked) 3025. I figured that if they wanted it I would sent it later or hand it over at an interview.

I was not asked for it and was approved without RFE or interview. I still have the envelope and it is still sealed.

This appears to be a specific thing for the medical in Amsterdam. The envelop was with the brown envelope but not inside it. No one at the POE wanted it or had ever seen one before (I asked).

yeah i asked some other people too. Half and half basically, send or not to send.

I figure if I do not include and they wont ask for it then I will be tempted to open it myself :P

I send the package yesterday and lets see....finger-crossed!

But there has to be an extra medical report inside the sealed envelope you hand over at POE? Or maybe it doesn't work that way in the Netherlands? Oh well, you sent it with your AOS anyway so you probably won't have any issues.

In Sweden the whole medical report is placed in the sealed envelope that you hand over at POE, you never see it at all. They send the whole thing to USCIS. So the copy I sent with my AOS will basically just be a duplicate of what they already have.

I do like the way that Sweden Consulate does. It is confusing this way.. and there is not even special instruction mentioning"should be sent with AOS"... They really need to put everything clearer.. : P

Aha so they handed you the white envelope at POE? That's kinda convenient actually. In Sweden you get nothing unless you specifically ask for it, which I did. Got a copy of the whole medical report from the doctor, took an extra copy of it and sent that with my AOS, seems better than just the DS-3025 even if it shouldn't be needed.

The white envelop is not sealed in the package that supposed to be handed to the POE officer.

It is confusing just like that...

This topic is from a few days ago but I found it somehow and thought I'd jump in real quick.

The white little envelop you got is specifically for your AOS. It contains medical documents and cannot be opened by you (not even to take copies).

I've sent the white envelope together with the AOS package...

    lets wait whats gonna happen....

What gave you that idea? Are you referring to interviews for K1's or interviews in general? As A n' L said there is no such reason, indication or policy change to interview waivers even being considered.

Here is the link to the policy field manual that describes the eligibility criteria for interview waiver.

Being eligible ofc doesn't mean you will be waived.

I was talking about the K1 AOS interview. thank you for the link :) .

    Hello,

I entered the US on a K1 visa and I am filling out the paperwork for AOS and had a few questions, if anyone could help out.

    1) On the I-485, on page 2, it asks for place of last entry and says "city, state". I was processed into the US at the Toronto, Ontario airport. Would I put Toronto, ON, or the first city that I was actually in the US?

Not very sure about that... but i think you should send an attachment for that while filing Toronto?

    2) I know a copy of the biographical page of the passport and the K1 visa page and entry stamp should be submitted. However, should I  submit a copy of every page of my passport? I have no other visas or stamps in my passport other than the K1 visa and the entry stamp for it, so every other page is blank.

I think only the bio page+ K1 visa and entry stamps.

    3) If submitting the EAD and Advance Parole application with the I-485, does a separate G-1145 need to be submitted for each of them?

    only one is needed.

    4) Do I need to submit two pictures for the I-485, EAD and AP? (6 total?)

from the AP instruction, 2 identical pix are needed. There are six pix in my package but if USCIS is gonna issue a combo card, i guess four pix are enough?

    5) On the G-325a on the top of page 1 it asks for a file number and says it begins with A, is this the Alien Registration number? I just wanted to make sure since it usually specifies Alien Registration number and specifically asks for that at the end of the document.

    yes it is .

  8. I would say definitely no phones allowed and no iwatch and other digital watches are allowed in the consulate.

Went through the consulate in November 2016, guess this policy shouldnt be changed that fast.

You should not be nervous for your language, I would say. The interviewers are super nice.

If after the interview you are asked to drop-by and pass your passport, do let the guards know that you are for immigrant visa or your passport would be put in the non-immigrant visa pile and the consulate ppl would contact you for that they did not receive your passport and then you would be panicking for your passport......

    been there....

    other than that, veel success!!

I am facing a similar situation. Did you guys get a RFE? Thank you so much for your response :)

Did this work out for you guys? I also have the closed envelope and I am not sure whether to send it in together with the I-485 or keep it in case a RFE will be sent after submitting my I-485 + copy DS3025. Thank you:)

Did you send the envelop in the end?

I am facing the same problem....

    Please anyone help...

why only amsterdam consulate did such thing then <_<

I actually sent a copy of the whole medical report including the DS-3025 just because I had it and felt it couldn't hurt. Not everyone gets their own copy of the whole thing, only the DS-3025.

Ok thats a piece of valuable information. Thank you Scandi!

well so you suggest I do not send the white envelop and hold on to it ? If they need my medical report then they will send me a RFE?

I know it says not to open but you should never send an "original" unless they specifically ask for it. Basically, you need to open the envelope and take copies of the DS-3025 and put a copy in the AOS package. All of us do that, and most of us never got our papers in a sealed envelope in the first place.

If you send the only copy you have you won't be able to send another in case your package gets lost in the mail or USCIS loses the document.

yes thats the concern. I only received a copy of the vaccination report ds-3025 but not the medical form I-693 which indicated in the I-693 instruction that the applicant should receive one as well.....

I really do not know what to do cuz it seems it only happens to the application approved in Amsterdam Netherlands consulate...

  12. Hey guys, got a question while preparing for the AOS.

I received a white envelope from the  consulate when the K1 visa approved and it says "K1 applicant copies of medical forms retain this sealed envelop for your I-485 application with the USCIS Office. DO NOT OPEN".

The k1 visa is approved within one year so I think only the vaccination report is needed when filing I-485.

But based on the descriptions on the envelop, I should mail this to USCIS together with AOS

I found only one discussion here but it ends without any update back in 2013.

Should I mail this white envelope as part of the AOS package? or keep this ?

    Many thanks for your answers.

  13. I had a K1 interview on 4 November in Amsterdam and all my documents have been collected. After the interview, I've been told my case is under administrative processing. Checked my case number on CEAC website which shows status updated is 8 November but it still shows Administrative processing.

Does anyone has this experience before ? Is it because I am Dutch and they need to check my papers?

So all my papers have been sent back to Washington to do the background checking ?

Why there is an update but still under AP?

    many thanks all .
