  1. I always tell my fiance, even if we get an RFE, at least it means someone is working on our file! I'm patiently impatiently waiting to hear something. ;-)

On the app, cases are getting approved and RFE's all around ours, so I am hopeful we at least hear something soon.

We used RapidVisa to help out with ours. Makes it really easy to fill everything out and they give you a packet on exactly how to organize everything.

I know you don't need to use something like that and with everything here, you can do it on your own, but I just wanted the peace of mind. Also, they walk you through every single step and help you with the documents for every single step. Even when it's time to do the Embassy fees, they walk you through that. They also have an office right next to the Embassy in Manila if there are any questions or you need documents or help when it's time to head to the interview.

May I know what the app name is? Hopefully our case gets looked at soon. The longer we wait, the closer we get. However the longer I wait, the more desperate I become haha. I'm patient but impatient, just like you. :D

  2. I'm more pissed at the lawyer cos I paid so much money its pathetic ,does this mean the 5month waiting period now starts all over?

I know how you feel. I've gone through a lawyer too. However, it's 90 days of NOTHING for me. I hope there's no RFE or I'll go crazy. The good news for you is that you know they are working on your case and it isn't long til your NOA2 is granted.

  3. Thanks a lot gizelle..its difficult seeing people that filed after after us get accepted before us but o well thanks for the support I'm here for you aswell

Jozelle sorry my autocorrect on my phone

I know the feeling all too well especially when we're left behind without a clue. All I know is that we'll eventually get ours. The official waiting time is 5 months. My lawyer said inside that 5 months, I'll get my NOA2. It just sucks to be the 'chosen one' for the whole entire 5-month wait =\ Also, it's terrible to have thoughts that maybe they lost our file.

  4. Feb fillers forgotten already ..they've moved on to march fillers :(

I'm with you Jarred. I'm a Feb 26 filer too and still waiting. Update me on your progress as I will with you. I know it's hard waiting especially when everyone seems to be at the end process and ours haven't even begun. However, remember it's WAY HARDER to lose hope. Trust me, I'm just as anxious. If you need anyone to talk to or just simply vent to, I am here, sharing the same concern. :D I'll keep you in my prayers. :D

  5. I recently communicated with a very knowledgeable and experienced immigration lawyer and asked him why some 129-F petitions are approved much quicker than others and this is his reply;

"I've visited all 4 service centers many times (back when all 4 processed I-129fs) and I've picked the minds of the officers who adjudicate those petitions. I could write a book on the back-room workings of how your petition moves from the mail room to the adjudicators desk. It is fascinating stuff.

But to keep this short, yes, barring an RFE, the I-129fs do basically move in order they were received, through the mail room, pre-sorting, sorting, data entry and then on the shelf assigned for I-129fs. Eventually when an officer needs more cases, they get a contract worker to go to the I-129f shelf and fill up a bin or two of cases (they use those white-ish cardboard-ish containers they use at the Post Office). Once the bin(s) are brought to the officer, the officer can pick cases from the bin in any order.

I strive to achieve a balance between providing a well documented case and engaging in overkill. Last thing I want is for an officer to hold off picking the "fat file" until the bitter last. But again, I also want to make sure it is thoroughly documented, not simply following the bare bones instructions on the I-129f as one main goal is to get the case through the service center without getting a request for additional evidence.

Right now, I'm going from putting the case in the mail, to approval at a service center in 4 to 5 weeks, to K-1 visa issuance in around 4 months (after the date I put the case in the mail). Of course, every case will be slightly different, and service centers and consulates tend to go through periods of moving quickly, then slowing down, then quicker, then slower. You get the picture.

    Good luck with your case."

Thank you so much for sharing this here, it means a lot. :)

  6. I have the same NOA1 date as you, and still waiting as well. :( It's hard when you don't know when you'll see your loved one again, and you've already been apart for so long... I also am losing my sanity. lol

I wish they had a system that updates us on why it's taking this long instead of keeping us stuck in crazy horrifying thoughts. It's not easy to be patient when your case is not moving forward anywhere and you've got everything set on your end. I'm forcing myself to stay positive and I wonder if I really am or if I'm just thinking it. Anyway, I wish us both the best. I will definitely parade my happiness on here once we recieve our NOA2.

  7. Does anyone know the pattern on which cases are being approved?

There's really no specific pattern. Every case is processed differently and it all depends on many factors. However, this website gives us a better idea on other people's cases similar to ours. Still, there's no way of telling because everyone's on a different timeline regardless of what date they filed their case. 5 months is the official wait but from what I am seeing, some January - February filers are already being approved. I hope our day comes soon.

  8. Wer now in 80 days of waiting. We got our noa1 last feb.26. My fiance called uscis ystrday and he said automated machine answered and jst said we will noticed u by mail if we recieve ur case.. its really upsetting coz it's been longer and longer now :(

My NOA1 is also dated 26 Feb. I am still waiting. Don't lose hope. I know it's easier said than done but the more days that pass, we get closer. :)

  9. I placed a call to USCIS to inquire about my Fiance Visa Petition. The person on the phone informed that the California Service Center is currently processing the F-129 Finance Petition applications for December 2015, which means there is a backlog for those filed in April 2016 such as mine. Do any of you know of petitions that were filed during January 2016 and on, if any has been processed and approved by the CSC?

Hello, where did you get this pdf file? Yes, the CSC has approved petitions until February but not everyone just yet. I am still waiting for my NOA2 and I'm a February filer. It's different for everybody but like their website states, the official wait is 5 months from your NOA1 and when it's not out yet, that's when you can start calling.

  10. Welcome to the forums!

Go with the notice date for your timeline.

You should be close to getting a response, keep hope :)

Many months left till November, just compare your fellow K1-ers who are also from Hong Kong (from what I recall it's usually really fast for you guys.) to see how long it might all take until you have your visa in hand.

Thanks for the info, I will change my timeline accordingly. I am less worried now that I found this website. It's so terrifying to be kept in the dark. I'm pretty sure everyone on here has panicked at one point. I wish you all the best! ;)

  11. Hi everyone!

I finally found out how to use this forum! I have sent out our I-129F back in february and got a NOA1. (Recieved date 24 Feb 2016 - Notice date 26 Feb 2016) I am not sure which date to follow but anyway I am still waiting for our NOA2. It's been a little over 2 months and I am hoping and praying our visa will come out in a timely manner. Our wedding date is 18 Nov 2016 and we have already booked everything.
