  1. Interview in Minnesota today. Submitted our paperwork in April 2017. Got an RFE in August of 2017. After submitting that he got his combo card in September. Got our letter for Interview  in May of 2018. The interview went great. Short and sweet. Verified information submitted with AOS.and asked about how we met, proposal, wedding. Gave papers showing joint accounts, insurance card Ryan's job letter and some wedding pics. Arrived about 45 mins early and they brought us back within 20 mins.

  2. We we're not able to give them the information right away I had to mail him the documents at his house. So to give you an idea his interview was on the 2nd according to the tracking number that he got when he mailed the papers the consulate they got it on the 14th of December our status on our visa on the ceac website did not update until the 18th of December. 10 business days later which was December 2nd we were updated to ready then we had a day of administrative processing on the 5th and on the 6th it was changed to issued. He is not going to receive his Visa until the 13th according to the tracking number for local mailing of his country.

  3. first you will need to check and see if the consulate there even allow the fiance to attend the interview. My fiance is from canada and I did not attend. As long as you make sure all your forms are filled out and signed your "presence" will not help or hurt the case. If you know that your affidavit of support is good, medical is fine and there is nothing on her record everything should be fine. You got your interview I saw it as more of a formality and making sure that you are still wanting to get married, some file but things happen and they are not in the relationship anymore. Seeing the person and asking the basic questions that were filled out in the original application is to weed out the ones that are only in it for the visa.

If anything it would be time to spend together or a mini vacation. personally I wish I had came to the interview because I had forgot to sign a document. if i had been there Ryan would have his visa in hand by now... no we are at the mercy of the consulate and how fast they want to process our paperwork... My only BIG caution is Check and RECHECK your paperwork especially a couple weeks before the interview so you can mail anything missing. We did it 3 days before the interview...not recommended.

Good luck gabe wish you well everything will be fine... may take longer than you want but she will get here.

  4. Any one have some experience on having interview but needing to submit supporting documentation after Interview? Sent out I 134 and supporting info. Received on the 14th...chomping at the bit want some insight from anyone that has experience or been around here long enough to share a time frame we are looking at....please?

  5. Just want to get an idea of what the turnaround time for getting Visa in hand after the interview. We had to send in the i-134 so I know it's going to be delayed with the mail if there's anybody that has experience with having to send in documents after the interview please comment also.

  6. I am more nervous than a mouse in a cat house! Ryan has his interview tomorrow and I hope he gets the green light. I pray that the scanned i-134 will be sufficient I have sent the original via express mail but delivery isnt guaranteed until monday. To any canadian filers what has been the processing time for the visa from interview to in hand? I would like to tell the kids when to expect their daddy.
