Does anyone know if this is the norm?  My husband is the petitioner and is here in NZ with me .... but his birth certificate is in the USA.

I'm wondering too. My husband is here with me in Jamaica and we weren't sure if he needed to take his birth certificate for the interview so we decided he didn't need to take it, but now we're reading that I need to bring to the interview. We're going to have to arrange for it to be DHL to us.

At the Jamaican consulate, the medical should be 10 -20 days before the interview.

I have an interview at the Consulate there next month! Thanks for the tip! Would appreciate any other advice you or anyone has as it relates to the medical.

Also wondering if I have to register my appointment regardless of the fact I got the p4 appointment letter. Would anyone know?

Not been around here much lately due to problems with the internet connection in our new place (frustrating but nothing like the frustration of dealing with the immigration process!). It seems that the interview appointments have not been set for March yet. Very unusual. Back in October I got case complete on the 20th and my interview appointment was allocated on the 27th and it was common for scheduling to begin in the last week of the month. I remember Jamaica and Ghana embassies being some of the first to start scheduling. Anyone here at those embassies?

Im wondering if it has something to do with the recent executive orders halting immigration from certain countries and whether NVC are holding back with the scheduling whilst they double-check the applicants to see if any of them have dual-citizenship

with one of the listed countries before they start the mass scheduling of interviews? Or maybe the embassies are not releasing dates yet because they need to update procedures for visa issuance? I have to say the whole thing is very confusing and even the US embassy in London has released 2 conflicting statements. The speed with which this all happened - it is no wonder that all the embassy and NVC staff are confused.

My interview will be at the US embassy in Jamaica. My case was completed 1/12 and I still haven't been assigned an interview.

Will be calling NVC sometime today.

The letter stated you or your husband sent in an inquiry - did you send in one?  And do you have any children who he is not filing a petition for?  If the answer is no to both of these, then perhaps it could be an error on their end - but yes, call NVC to find out.  Since your case was complete on 1/12, did you receive any email confirming the case complete?  It usually comes in 5-6 business days after the case complete date and states that your case is in queue for an interview.

Neither of us inquired about anything, we have a child together and she is already a US citizen through CRBA. Yesterday we got a confirmation email about our case complete. It just has to be an error but  we'll definitely call them first thing on Monday.

From the timelines I've seen, it looks like most of us who got case complete last week and those who will receive the same to the end of January will get a March interview, although anything is possible :)

Yes that's my prediction too that I'll get a March interview. But I'd be glad if they scheduled me for Feb! Fingers crossed. We're definitely almost at the end of our journey with this visa process!

Not sure if its true but I read that someone was told that interviews are only schedules the 1st and 2nd week of the month. So if that is the case I am assuming no one will know or have an appointment date until feb? Has anyone else been told that?

After my CC last week I called them (January 12th) to see when they would schedule my interview and I was told by a representative that they were finished with January interviews and will be scheduling interviews the 1st and 2nd week of next month.

  8. Hello everyone that's still waiting for CC. Just wanted to say that I'm praying for you guys! I know it is so frustrating week after week without hearing anything good from NVC. I just want to provide some encouragement to those in need to just continue or at least try to be positive, you guys are really close to the end of this journey. It's a very long and draining process but everything will workout in the end! I'm sending you guys lots of hugs. Have a good day!

Wahoo! I'm so happy for you! This has seriously been such a wonderful week with all these CC's rolling in :):) It gives me so much hope!

When was the last time you called NVC, and what did they tell you? Or do you generally not call them? I can't remember what your previous posts have said!

Last night I had my husband call nvc and he told me that he spoke to a lady that said our documents were in the document review center (called last Friday and was told the same thing), anyhow, he said she told him that they should be finished soon. She also told him that they've been working quickly to get them processed.

I'm just so thankful to God and happy that I they've completed my case! I called just now and confirmed that it was indeed completed and I asked when I should expect an interview date and the lady I spoke to told me that they are finished scheduling interviews for this month and they do interview scheduling the first and second week of each month.
