Comments : Just got back from Interview in Orlando office, was about 15 minutes. Most of the questions was directed at Moesha, her parents name, when we met, how we met, how many times did I go to Jamaica, where does husband work, what hours does he work, was Bruce at the delivery of our daughter, asked us for any mail to our current house, we just got from uscis and an health insurance, do we have bills with our names on it, She told him just our cell bill, but we didn't have any copies of it, I told him we pay electronically, Moesha explained why we left Boston to come to Florida because of the cold weather, asked us we have have lease bills, utility bills. we explained we staying with Moeshas Aunt and planning on getting our own place soon, so we don't have any bills for house. We was expecting the worse as far as questions but very basic. We did bring pictures of us together with our Daughter and he went them and asked if he could take 15 of them. Asked for my 2018 tax return with our names on it which we had and he took them. Wanted to see the original marriage certificate but we just had an copy which he took.
  2. We got approval today on the USCIS case status site for the I485. didn't take long at all !!!!

  3. Hi all! Hope your Journey is doing well !

Has anyone with Family in Jama come here to visit U in the US?

I looked at the visitor threads but haven found anyone from jama doing or have done this.

I'm looking at getting my fiancée relative here for our wedding and help out with our future Daughter arriving in August.

My husband’s cousin and some of his friends have been over to visit us. Are you referring to them coming on a tourist visa? They have to apply themselves and show strong ties JA. And just mentioning that they would be “helping” with the baby is a not a good idea as it would be illegal to “work“ on a tourist visa. What I have noticed in JA is that if one has what is perceived as a good job, they can easily get a visitor’s visa. Several of my husband’s friends who have businesses and some of his family members who work at the bank and in law enforcement do have visas. Good luck and congrats on the baby!!!! Praying for that to happen for us soon!

It may be difficult to prove he has intentions on going back to JA. He would have to show strong ties to the country.

  4. Update : SO after n couple of emails back n forth from jama embassy. Today they said I have to go there for another interview with Moesha. They waiting for me to make travel arrangements. Not happy ! But whatever it takes.

  5. Update : So after numerous more calls to jama embassy with no one answering I send n email last Friday asking then whats taking so long, and that Moesha had sent her passport to embassy as requested and got n response or visa. So the email back to me today was that at her interview aug 4th she was told I needed to come there, but that's not true, she was handed an paper requesting to to send n email to them with more proof of our ongoing relationship, its an age thing tho.

after I sent the email she called and the lady had read the email i had sent and everything was fine I didn't need to come.

Moesha then rec n email requesting her passport after the phone call. So we have been waiting since august 21 waiting for n visa. Now since they not connectin everything together I'm sending them another email with what happen since her interview, and hope I don't have go there, but if I must I will.

I think you should go there. That is ridiculous. And they will only play games as long as it is email or phone. I hope this is feasible for you. I have been thinking about you and wondering what was going on.
