I asked my wife a hypothetical with your circumstance and she would have done the same thing that Natalya did, but then after further discussion she said that it would depend on how long she knew this person. A little more history between you too might be what you need. Dont be in such a rush particularly with matters as delicate as this. It took a lot of courage to overcome this the first time and then to be able to explain to her what happened. I only had one more question how did you tell her? In person or on the phone or in an email? I would think something this serious needed to be told in person but that is just my opinion.

Seriously, I'm pretty sure I could make a more watchable movie than Michael Bay. If there's any evidence that our society is in decay, it's the fact that Transformers and Transformers 2 were tops at the box office.

You probably can make a better movie than Bay and Woo(gosh I hate his movies). The harry potthead movies are also evidence that our society is in decay, the last book is going to be made into 2 movies how disgusting is that. Ive only seen part of one movie and never read any of the books. I liked the movie transformers but I also liked the cartoon, I havent seen the second one and Im not sure when I will. I wasnt expecting cinematic brilliance just a decent amount of action, so cool special effects and a hot chick, the rest of it was weak but think about the story they are basing it on.

It is said to think that this woman cannot look past what your father did a long time ago and realize it was not you. I understand that the thought will go through peoples heads "What if he is like that". You cant get around her apprehension. The only scam I got involved in was one Im still paying for. I was on the internet trying to meet women and I found this woman on a web site, started emailing her. I finally went to visit her, she played it really cool, after I returned home she tricked me into proposing, I did and then we filled out all this paperwork to get a visa. I visited her a second time, she got her visa, arrived, and we got married. She tricked me into getting her pregnant by promising me we would have sex. Our son is now two and I will be paying for at least 40 more years. Her scam is so incredible she is going to slowly take all my money and my sanity. Anyone else heard of this one?

I'm doing my best to drag her scam out as long as I can.

I'm always amused when somebody is surprised when a non-actor turns out to be a good actor. Honestly, I think you have to try hard not to be a good actor. Any one of us here could, after a couple months with a good acting coach, pull off a performance that would garner Oscars. Even GiGii and the Sock Puppets, and hell that's saying something. The Hollywood types try to make it seem like "the craft" is such hard work, when really it's just about delivering lines in a believable way. I'm never surprised when a rapper or hell even Tom Arnold turns out to be a good actor. They've parlayed their previous success into hiring a coach to make sure they don't go Britney Spears when it comes time to get up in front of the camera. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Directing is where it's at, beeyotches. Which is why I'm signed on to direct Transformers 3: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Autobots. It's gonna be awesome.

I always wear cargo shorts/pants, sturdy shoes, and have at least two sets of underclothes, T-shirts and hygiene items. With those items alone, it's possible to get by for your entire trip because you can wear your clean stuff while you wash/dry your dirty stuff. In colder months, I'll throw on a hoody and that'll at least be enough to get me by until I can either purchase heavier clothes or wait until my bags arrive.

If you look through my MySpace photos, the bag you see me carrying in Paris is the only bag I had on my trip for about a week to the Middle East. I figured with several layovers and several different airlines in several countries I was just asking for trouble if I checked bags.

You can lighten the load like I do no underwear, plus it keeps everything nice and cool.

i agree slim but the rapper turned to actor started back in the day when the rat pack started acting, so blame Sinatra,Martin,Bishop and Davis jr. If they had stuck to singing we would have less musicians on the silver screen.

Criminals seem to disregard laws and regulations on a regular basis. This is why it baffles me that certain members of Congress believe more gun laws = less crime. Hello! Criminals don't follow laws! Murder, rape, robbery, drug trafficking - they're all already illegal. Using a gun in the commision of one of those offenses is also ALREADY illegal. What I can't understand is how they're trying to make the case that yet another law is going to physically stop criminals from commiting crimes with firearms. The only effective defense against violent crime is to make the criminals disappear.

Slim is right on with this comment. Why more laws Mox? All those do is restrict what law abiding citizens can do. Criminals do not care about laws = that's why they are called criminals.

I was going to throw a reply to slims posts but I will try and cover things here as his posts were lengthy but well worth the read.

First to Baron - Never apologize for sending a Russian thread on a tangent that is the god given right of everyone on this subforum(which should just be a forum because the stuff we talk about is important) to send a thread spinning off into whatever direction it takes us. It is the free exchange of ideas that prompted the constutional convention to put free speech as the first right.

Now onto slim and the post of posts. I believe you are correct for the most part and I firmly believe that more laws dont make sense- because if all we needed to do was making something illegal to stop people from doing it, lets see prohibition would never have been repealed, the harris stamp act would have been the greatest piece of legislation in the 20th century, and there would be no crime. Then we would need no congress or government anymore because there would no longer be issues. Since criminals dont pay attention to laws we need to protect ourselves in our homes and while we are out and about. My biggest issue with gun control is that when someone uses a gun to protect themselves many times there was other options, to flee, to disarm, to call authorities and seek shelter.

About 1 year ago a former drug addict who was somewhat mentally disabled was working at the gas station 3 blocks from my house. This guy was pretty harmless and he was paid $50 a week to empty trash cans and keep the parking lot clean, I only talked to him a couple of times but you could see he was an ok guy who was just trying to be useful. He got a ride to the mall one day from a woman that he liked and about 2 weeks later her boyfriend confronted this guy at the gas station. Some heated words were exchanged and the two were seperated. 1 month later(the day of the shooting) The first guy was busy doing his thing when the second person came to fill his car. While the second guy was pumping gas he started talking some ####### to the first guy, things got heated and the first guy was picked up a plastic trash can lid and made a motion like he was going to throw it at the second guy. The second guy reaches into his truck and pulls out the handgun that was sitting on the front seat. Points it, the first guy drops the can lid and backs up, falls to the ground, the second guy takes two steps forward and fires 2 times one in the chest and one in the head. The shooter then calls his brother in law(grand rapids police department officer) who is the first to arrive at the scene. After all is said and done and the news has edited the ####### out of the video( yes there were two videos of the whole thing which a guy I know that works at the station showed me both) to make it look like the first guy was about to kill the second. News is all over the thing and the shooter gets off only losing his CPL and his gun.

I saw the video and any reasonable person would be hard pressed to say that the shooter was in danger of losing his life(grave bodily threat). I had a few problems with the whole thing: Why was the gun on his front seat and loaded?(did he intend to threaten the guy if he saw him) Why didnt he make an attempt to flee or seek safety before or after he pulled the gun? Its murder if you go on the offense, the shooter was not protecting his homestead and with the first guy on the ground there was no longer a threat.

Any thoughts folks?

As far as the Dixie Chicks go I was all for the fact that they said what they said. I dont even remember what exactly was said but I admire people who speak out and challenge the establishment. There are many other people who speak out but never get heard. I hate the hypocrites who speak out not because the believe in what they say but because they want people to hear them say controversial things.

Another avenue, contact some of the local churches many of them now offer free ESL classes in the evening, my wife met some nice people there and it helped her get more comfortable with her english.

I love Ministry's early stuff. I stopped listening after Psalm 69; but I might pick up the later stuff just to see if I like it. With Sympathy (their very first album, Brit Synth Pop) was horrid. But Twitch, TLORAH, TMIATTTT, and Psalm 69 were all amazing. I'm still stuck in the 90s as far as music goes. Primus is also another group I love; but again I stopped listening after Pork Soda. Go figure.

Ministry.....Wow, there's a name from my past. I was part of the scene and partied a bunch with Al Jourgensen. Haven't seen him in a long time. I used to live down the block from WaxTrax (just down the block from the Biograph). Used to DJ at Neo and the Artful Dodger. Good times. I still have all my old Punk and New Wave records. And I remember Le Mare.

Nowadays I listen mainly to classic Jazz and old time Swing and Big Band music.
