  1. As long as we're waiting for this week to kick off...

Looking at the stats, last week was the best for pending VJ K-1s since 4/18-4/24. For the three weeks from 4/25-5/15, total VJ approvals went down from 15, to 12, to 10. The average number of days from NOA1 to NOA2 for those approved in those week went up from 77 to 82 to 90.

For last week, 5/16-5/22, there were 23 approvals, and the average number of days from NOA1 to NOA2 dropped from 90 to 87. So, over the last week:

-Total VJ K-1 approval pace more than doubled, week over week and nearly doubled compared to the prior three week average.

-The average wait time to NOA2 dropped for the first time in four weeks.

Every day I see 5 approvals or more, I'll know we're accelerating. Less than 5, I'll know we're slipping again. Although it seems like approvals ramp up toward the middle and end of the work week, from what I've seen. So maybe a bad Monday isn't a killer.

I was excited last week when they started approving March filers, however I feel it hasn't been moving. After a week they're still approving the same march days (1-2) and also still february fillers from the same dates (25-26), which they started approving 3 weeks ago. So if they're gonna take 1 week for them to approve 2 days range, that lets us far away in the predictions.

What I find surprising its the two approvals for april Haiti fillers. I knew that sometimes some packs of folders from newer dates get to some empty desk. But I didn't know they classified the folders by country. I mean, if they don't, it's too much of a coincidence. But what would be the purpose of this?

  2. Yayyyyy juSt got a text I got approve

    Sent April 14

    received April 18

    txt&email was sent to California

    Noa1 hard copy April. 26

    Noa2 txt&email got approve may 18

Now waiting for the hard copy

What a stroke of luck!! That's amazing.. Congratulations!

While the rest of us unlucky ones are waiting for our NOA2... Can someone please tell me how to set up a signature to share my timeline? :pop:

  3. read the March 2016 filers thread. Someone posted a PDF with their inputs+outputs. They processed more in Q1 than they received, but there's still a backlog of about 600+ from before 2016 Q1

it's possible the November date they provide is the earliest received date of any petition that's still pending. That's the only way I can interpret that date

Make sense! I think you might be right. Well as of today the waiting is not too bad yet. Let's hope for late June or July, we're not too far behind !! Only one more month to go (March) and then we're next ! :)

  4. My NOA1 came April 8th, and according to VJ I should expect NOA2 between June 8-12. But following recent trends and how its taking more and more time, I'm calculating this dates aprox:

    NOA2 - JUN 26

    NVC RECEIV - JUL 28

    NVC APPROV - AUG 01

    CONSULATE RECEIV - AUG 06

    CONSULATE INTERV - OCT 17

I know it depends on a lot of factors, maybe the trends change and the process begin to shorten again or I get and RFE, but I'm trying to wait with this dates on my mind so I won't get desperate. :goofy:

  5. My fiancé and I are beyond frustrated and just want to start our lives together. We couldn't stand being apart anymore so he is coming a week from Friday and will be visiting for 2 months! Its not a perfect situation since he can't work while he is here so money will be tight but at least we can be together. You are so lucky that you live so close and can visit often! I hope everyone else is hanging in there...

Wow, 2 months.. not bad at all!! I'm sure that will make the wait much more bearable. Hang in there!!

Sadly for us my fiancé is all the way in Casablanca Morocco and I am in Puerto Rico. The plane ticket price is not for a couple of days plus it can be over 20 hours and he cannot fly to visit either. To this you add that taking a week from work doesn't happen lightly. We gave to be patient - easier said than done - thank God he has more patience than me :-) it is hard to plan a wedding and separate place, music etc when we cannot have a date. Apparently as I read spring and summer are the worst filing months. Good luck to all of us !

I'm sure people before us have gone through the same and now they're living happily with their partners! You are right we have to be patient. Good luck :D

  6. It has been one month now since the creation of this topic... and it seems each day the CSC is getting more and more backlogged. How have you been doing?

I cannot imagine what it would be like if my fiance was far away like most couples in this forum are. Thankfully I live in Mexico, I have a visitors visa and we're just 22 miles apart so we see each other very often. But still, I don't know if you experience this too but being in this process I feel kinda put my life in stand-by. I don't like my job but don't think getting another one is a good idea since I'm going soon, I want to plan the wedding but don't know where to begin since I don't have a date, etc.

I hope you can share your experiences too!!

  7. First of all you have to fill two G-325A forms. One for each.

THe question about working abroad only applies if he worked abroad in the past (out of the US). If not, just put "none" if the instructions say so or leave it blank if they don't say anything.

On the bottom of both forms each one has to sign their own biographic information.

What I did was print facebook screens from when we got in a relationship, print pictures and wrote on them dates and places.

In the story of our relationship I wasn't so specific about every time because we have met a lot of times but if it was only a few I think I would have mentioned each one of them. I also made references to trips we took and attached the flight tickets (didn't have boarding passes).

  8. Hi. I think you won't have any problem entering the US with your visitors visa, as long as you have proof of returning to your country (work letter, returning plane ticket). Plus if you have the receipt of your documents for the K1 you can argue that you do not intend to stay in the US, since you want to do things right and wait for the visa.

For applying for the K1 while in the states, I don't think will be a problem either, but there's a part in the I-129F that ask you if the fiance is right now in the United States, and if you answer "yes", you have to answer a series of question. Personally I would prefer to avoid this and just do it before you go.

About your question of the consulate interview, I believe that you necessarily have to do it at your own country.

    Good luck!

  9. When looking at the USCIS websites processing times, for the K1 I-129f it says for the CSC, processing times are approximately 5 months. Does anyone know if that 'processing time' means just till your NOA2 or does it mean for the entire process?

I think it means that the NOA2 will maximum be processed in that time. After that you can file a complain / inquiry because by that time it should be completed. The timeline here calculates approximate time of 54 days for CSC.

Hopefully we get that time and not 5 months !!

  10. I live right by the border with the US (Tijuana, Mexico), and my boyfriend lives just 16 miles away in San Diego, California. So we visit each other very often. He returned from a long trip 2 weeks ago so as you can imagine I wanted to be with him for as long as I could. So almost everyday I drove to his place for around 10 days and stayed there, come back to work, and the same every day. I had asked a border agent before if I had a limit of visits I can make a week and he said literally "no, as long as you're not working here". But last time I got questioned if I had a visa in process like K1, K3, etc. I said we submitted K1 and he said I should be careful because it's not permitted to cross as often as I was doing it and my records could affect my visa application.

I wanted to share this story in case somebody finds it useful. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Maybe someone else from Mexico or Canada...?

  11. It gives you peace of mind that the app is checking ths website four times daily for any changes to your submitted documents saving you the hassle of having to check CEAC yourself. To me its a no brainer as I'm not driving myself crazy. I'm much further along then you as I'm processing our removal of conditions ROC which can take up to 12 months the to complete. I set my app and until it notifies me of changes I'm not going to stress myself out. Hope this helps.

I tried to used CaseTracker on my iphone but I entered my USCIS receipt number and it says "receipt number not recognized". Could it be that they just gave me the number on saturday and it takes time for it to be on the system? What do you think?
