do you guys know if the I 693 ( still valid from K1 process) needs to be the original? can we send copies? I am afraid that will misplace it. And how long did it take for you guys to received your work permit and travel document?

Hi guys. I hope everyone is doing well. We are about to start our AOS. Yay!!!We were planning to visit my family the first week of April ( we are flying. cant drive because it is too far). But my husband K1 visa expires in March ( his passport is still valid) and the state wont issue a government ID without an EAD from immigration. Any ideas about what we can do?

and what is the non immigrant number on the passport? is it the control number

I hope you are well. First, We have applied for my husband SSN for about 3 weeks now and we have not received anything. We are looking to start our AOS process and rhw USCIS site said that we needed government issued ID which requires a SSN to apply for. Any help?

IAH is a very busy airport, I avoided it and went to Dallas which is known for easier and more organized K1 processing, and then flew to Houston. One hour is very little time, because you'll have to go through immigration, collect your luggage and check it in again and then find your next flight. You should check if there are any other flights that same day later to OKC, if so, they will rebook you so no worries.

I did not want him to go through DC or Chicago. I was told that IAH was smaller than those ones. I guess I was wrong. It will be getting there around 5 or so. Hopefully less incoming international flights then. He is not checking any luggage which might end up saving us time. If all fails, and he miss his connection to OKC, I am flying to meet him in Houston (I know..lol). We can kill time until next flight.

Question: Our POE is in IAH (in Houston). Anybody has any experience there? We tried to get a longer layover there but we could not find anything. So all the have is an hour before the next flight. I anticipate that we might miss our connection to OKC but at least he will be in the US!!

It's a good sign. It means they're just doing the final checks on your visa and will issue it soon. Mine went into Administrative processing and changed to issued the next day.

We had our interview on the 18th. My fiance said the interview went well. They gave him our pictures back but they kept everything else. They said that they are waiting on the report from the medical. It shows Administrative processing on the website. Just anxious here. Congrats to everyone who got approved

If you get married after there is a possibility of going back for the name to be changed, otherwise it's choice

Doe anyone know if we get an I 94 print out when the visa is granted? Is it better to get married and then apply for an ssn ?

Called and received our NVC and invoice number ( NOA2 was August 15 th). Now what ??

I have another question about co sponsor. I just graduated from professional school. So my taxes for the past three years will be very bad. But I just started a new job where I will be making above poverty line. I have a letter from my employer stating salary,position and how long I have been with the company ( I worked with them since college). Will that be a problem ?

Why does the I 134 need to be notorized? Will the signature from the petitioners or other co sponsors not suffice ?

I can understand the frustration when people you have filed earlier have yet to receive an answer. We all want the same thing and we are all here for each other. Let's try to keep it that way.

Yes, Affidavit of Support should be the original signature, no scan, you need to send it fedex or dhl or bring it with you.

well then. I will have to mail before I wont be able to come with him to the interview. Secondly, I cant find form 156 and 230. I look on that page you sent. I wonder if those will be provided by the embassy ??
