  1. My husband is on the phone with them now. They have our marriage certificate, but they are saying that it'snot the right "format" for the UAE. ... but we had a Christian marriage, so let's see what they say ..... oh goodness....

Omg they actually reviewed the 12th?! I thought they were running behind that's wwhyI didn't see a status change...What else can they possibly want from us now?! They checklisted us for the AOS forms and we sent everything they asked for now I have to brace myself for another checklist?!! I just want to cry now, this is too much!

  2. As for the comment " I can only see from your timeline that you sent the AOS package in, but not the IV, so I'm assuming that's where you are.":

For one i don´t see that showing up on the timeline and most importantly: Do NOT send the AOS and IV package seperately! That will only cause major delays in the NVC process. Both AOS and IV paperwork have to be sent together.

Hi RoseGrove...My timeline wasn't updated so I updated it couldn't fill in everything cause I myself don't know dates for some things cause we had an agency taking care of the paperwork. We sent both packages together and the first time it took 32 days to get the checklist so we sent in the required documents and NVC acknowledged receipt on May 15 saying the scan date was May 12 16. As for the marriage certificate part I guess nothing can be done, gonna try to get a notarized letter from the marriage officer saying the certificate has incorrect info due to an error and state the correct place of marriage. Hope that is good enough for NVC.

  3. You are definitely not alone. this whole process is an emotional roller coaster. I'm not a person that cries often...i usually hold in my emotions but during the NVC process my husband heard me cry far too often over the phone. being separated is hard and you're right, only others going through this process will truly understand what it's like.

Your CC is coming soon. hang in there.

I guess we're all just one big support group as well as a visa guide ☺. I try my best to be composed but sometimes it's just hard especially when I see other people with their loved ones and my husband and I are apart. I try not to break down in front of my husband anymore because it breaks him too knowing he can't do anything to make the process faster and knowing him he'll be ready to sell everything and move here with me. I honestly believe that we'll all be okay, our season of blessing is approaching. Stay strong!

  4. I don't know why I felt like crying reading this. Hopefully I get CC this month, cause this distance is so depressing. Thanks alot for the encouragement ?

I know exactly what you mean...on my way home from work today I almost broke down because I started thinking about how much longer this process has but I pulled myself together cause if I started crying I probably won't have stopped. I just pray it doesn't take much longer cause my body literally feels drained!

  5. I am sad! I just calles NVC and they told me that I have to wait 6 weeks before I can know if my case is Complete or checklist. Today is my 28 days.....my scan date is April 29, 2016

Don't be...it probably won't take that long it's the standard answer. Even if you have to wait 2 weeks more think about how far you've come with the process, you're almost at the end. Sometimes your breakthrough comes at your lowest moments, just hold on.

  6. Omg me toooooo!!! My scan date is may 12. I check the ceac website so many times a day, I have a calendar countdown, and I read this forum like all day!!! I'm going out of my mind! Will I get it early? Will I get a checklist? Will I get approved? This is mental torture!!!

Jordache463 I have the same scan date...May 12, hopefully we hear something soon, I also see on your timeline you're headed to NC after this is over, so am I! Good luck with the process!

  7. Nvc received my aos and iv paperwork may 9th...it's been 15 days and looking at other people's timelines it varies on approval. How will I know if im going to get a checklist? I hope I don't but just out of curiosity can someone tell me

I don't think there's any way we can know if we'll get a checklist because some people send everything and everything is on point when NVC receives it but somewhere along the way stuff gets misplaced and people are checklisted for stuff they sent so you just have to be think positively and pray for the best...I'm not saying NVC looses everybody's documents so yours will probably be just fine. Try not to stress yourself out and just do things to pass the time. Best of luck!
