Just called NVC and got my case number.. file should be recived by embassy in 2 days according to the nice lady i spoke with

got some news just now, our noa 2 is from 6/20, and my fiance called the nvc, and after a long wait and this horrible song, the woman told him that they received our petition on the 7/11, but no case ### assigned yet!!!

it still good news for all of us, that bring hopes back in this long journey!!!!

Someone above said that no one with a NOA2 date before June 25th has gotten this email. I'm June 28th, and I got it, but from what people are posting here, it sounds like that's right -- so you shouldn't expect one, but you can start calling late this week/early next week!

You don't need his birth certificate, but you need an original of his divorce decree.

Well Today marks week 3 for NVC.. wasn't looking for much and didn't expect much.. but called anyway and was told the same thing as before.... ......... But the only good thing is a June 13 NOA2 received their NVC this past friday... so this should be the week.. and if not I will say the same thing next week >>>>>> LOL

yeah...my fiance called and there is also nothing for us! i hope this week is our week! its very hard when you think you are done with waiting...then no! you have to wait again.... its a crazy rollercoaster!!!!

Is there no one on here that can help? I have read that there are indeed countries where you cannot obtain a police record but Senegal was not on that list. She cannot get anything through her ex from the army and the consulate in Senegal said they cannot nor will not be able to help her because there is nothing to provide and they wont write her a letter stating that fact.

is there no one that has encountered this?

La publication des bans, ca se fait avant de se marier, ou pas du tout. Apres etre marie(e), c'est trop tard. Perso, je ne l'ai pas fait non plus.

C'est obligatoire du point de vue francais, mais pas du cote americain, donc...

Par contre, je vous recommande de faire la paperasse apres votre mariage pour transcrire votre mariage a l'etat civil francais pour que votre mariage soit reconnu en France (surement ce dont tu as lu sur d'autres forums, frfrog). C'est a ce moment la qu'on recoit un livret de famille.

frfrog, we have got our Bulletin n 3, that is not the question. In my bangkok american embassy they ask english translation, I thought so many people did it, that this translation should be circulating somewhere in internet, because why pay if you can do it yourself and make it sign by someone? I saved my time and money by finding some other translations, but not this one, I thought VJ members might have it. Instead I could share with them template of french birth certif into english for example.

i understand i tried to find out mine also in english, but they only provide it in french...

I have a question..my fiance' is nigerian but he is a permanent resident of morocco so we filed with morocco embassy is that the correct thing to do or is there anyone else that has this same issue

then answer to all the questions

they will send it to your home adress in 10 days.

i guess it will be in french, so you will have to find a translator on your area, that is abble to do it

here is what i have found on the us ambassy in Paris info:

"All documents must be in English, Portuguese or French. Documents in all other languages must be accompanied by certified English-language translations. The translation must include a signed statement by the translator affirming that the translation is accurate and the translator is competent to translate."
