Don't worry for the DS-2001, they dont send it anymore, now its quicklier since you dont have to worry about sending back this ds-2001

Now you just schedule everything and print your confirmation page where its written informations about the date and hour of your appointement AND your delivery adress(to receive your passeport back) and do not worry on this confirmation page you can read that you have to bring it PLUS the letter that the consulate/embassy sended to you, its seems to be a old automatic sentence that has not been removed yet.

From what i understood and read here on vj you will have to show this confirmation page to the security before entering in the US embassy.(check on french portal at "the reviews" section that might help you to have an idea about how they will proceed)

you also need to print the ds-160 confirmation page, and ive also printed the pamphlet about domestic violence....

im still waiting to go to the interview(on the 7th of september) so i cannot tell you how it went on my case yet ( k1, plus 3 k2)..... when is your appointment date?did you schedule medical? keep us posted, i know its very stressing but you are almost done :dance: :dance: !!!!!

from what i saw 31st of august is available BUT there is no drs appointement....i called dr Jolly and she said its too close from when she would come back from vacations(on the 26).... ...... for september there was still one slot left for the 7th, then on the 14th 4 slots were available.. the hardest part to me was to schedule the medical, the only appointement i could get for the kids and i is on the 2nd of september....and my interview is on the 7th.......im from the south of france need to travel all the way up to paris and stay for almost a week with 3 kids .... but hey! i dont complain i still have everything settled even if its not what i expected...

Just a tip angie33 on packet3 they say to schedule first the med and then the interview, if you choose to do your medical exam with dr jolly you need to schedule first the interview and after that schedule the medical on de jolly web site.

yup its a new week!!!!! a week closer to the end of this process!!!!!!!

my fiance and i planned on a court wedding as soon as i arrive, i have my simple wedding dress, and when i get back home to him we will go for his suit and wedding band, its a very small wedding just him, me and my kids, but we planned for a big ceremonie in may next year with our families and friends coming from france and all over the united states!!! and i also have my wedding dress for our big wedding, its a handmade one.

Since we have a big backyard we will do our ceremonie home, so romantic and awesome, because later on and each time we will be by the fire pit over there we will remember this very special day!

i cant wait for all of this happen, and even just be abble just to hold his handand be by his side!!!!

but as you said its a new week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!maybe some good news for all of us!!!!!!

yes i have a good feeling for next week :yes: , as i told you i could noticed that it seems that the embassy send packet 3 to a bunch of case applicants at the same time, so angie33 i really think we are in the same boat right now and that you might get packet3 just at the same time as DURANT200 and i will!!!!(I hope!)

and i agree with DURANT200 we need to help eachother to go through it, so feel free guys to pm me, we could also use fb( easier and quicklier than vj) to communicate!!!!! we will make it!!!we are almost done with this rough process!!! for now lets keep busy and "try" to not think too much !!!

yup this week or next week will be our week , and you are right administrations here in France is pretty slow in august....so, yes no choice than to be patient!! its just a bit frustrating seeing other filers already booking their medical and interview without this packet 3( even if im happy for them all...i just need to vent a bit lol)!

i would love a end of august or early september interview and you what are you expecting?

coucou, je pense qu'il faut jouer la sécurité et prendre le originaux avec toi, pour la copie de I-129f je suis comme toi , moi je la prend également sait on jamais!

I did not see anywhere that you need to carry it over there as well , however I would recommend you to have with you (just in case , we never know what consular officer we will have in front of us ) what you have received from USCIS/NVC , a copy should be enough anyway

Which payment are you talking about exactly? Because when I tried signing into the CEAC website to pay our fees it states

"The National Visa Center has forwarded your file to the US Embassy/Consulate where you are applying for an immigrant visa. Any other required fees must now be paid directly at the Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview."

And it won't let me pay anything. I've been very confused on the payment aspect because I never had the notion to pay any fee, and when it was finally time to pay it was already too late and apparently I need to pay in person at the embassy. What exactly did you pay and how did you do it?

its because you did not receive packet 3 yet..... once u get this packet 3 then you will be abble to pay the fee online

Our application left the NVC on July 5th, and if I read the CEAC widget correctly, the embassy received it on July 11th. We received the packet 3 email on July 21st to fill out the DS-160 and pay the fees, and received the link to schedule an interview July 23rd.

about the ds2001 ive talked to several french here on vj that says that there is no ds2001 anymore, now just have to wait for packet 3 and follow the guideline, we schedule our interview on our own

im filling up my ds-160, but my picture donwload fail each time, its weird....... Before filling up,i went to a photographer so then the pictures meet all the US requirements, and was very expensive ( in our case, its for the kids (3) and i)....

so it took me forever to fill up ours ds-160 ( four of those), ...... can i just submitt the ds-160 and bring the ID pictures with me at the interview???

we just called and they told us that our case was already in paris.....weird in need to call in paris now
