  1. Hi guys,

Unfortunately today we received a REJECTION NOTICE for the I-765 EAD. It states that the payment amount is incorrect or has not been provided..However, I applied for the three things at that same time so from what I researched we only had to pay US$1070.00

I also noticed I did not sign for this application

I'll fix it now, this means I have to pay the extra fee now?

    Please help, I'm so sad.

  2. My advice: Enjoy while it lasts! Life isn't all about working and I am happy just staying at home, sleep in, be a total slob, read, watch TV, take the dog to the beach (we live by the beach), catch movies at the cinema, musicals, go shopping, try out different restaurants and bars, visit some national parks, museums, art galleries. Summer is here and there are tons of activities going on here in Long Beach. When you start work and you look back at this time, I promise you will miss it and regret not taking full advantage of it.

The process can take as long as it likes for all I care, life is good!

Ps: Americans really do work too much, make tons of money but have no time to spend that money, don't be that person.

    Thnks Marc_us82 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I was wondering how other people handle this waiting period without being able to drive, work, travel, and basically function like a normal human being.... whistling.gif

I am trying to be all patient and calm about all this waiting part but sometimes I just get really angry about it...
I am also always trying to keep myself busy around the house... by cooking nice meals and new recipes all the time, by helping him with his PhD school work, reading, cleaning, learning....etc.... many little things that are fun but which gets old from time to time.....

Do you mind sharing your experience on this topic?

  4. Please help!

I am begging for some positive and comforting statements for our upcoming interview June 28th. My fiance is very, very nervous and I'm trying to be keep the faith. We are a same-sex relationship from US and India. She is heading alone to the New Delhi embassy, which we read is one of the hardest embassies to get approved at.

She is nervous to go alone, plus the one same-sex female interview we read, the couple got questioned why the individual was gay. (We still question the background leading up to this question.)

Please just give us some positivity and great approval stories so we can increase our comfort for preparation of the biggest event of our relationship. Or a funny cat picture is amazing also.

    Thanks!

Congratulations and good luck!!!! I came from a very male chauvinist country, Mexico, and everything went smooth during my interview. I got approved in 10 minutes, so my suggestion to you is to be calmed and relaxed, and answer all the questions with the truth and you will be fine!!!!! Keep us posted!!!!

  5. We may be a minority but I was wondering if there are any binational same-sex couples on this forum. We all know the hardship we have to go through in order to reunite with our beloved one and have the same rights as hetero couples.

Me and my fiancée have just started filling the petition.

    Where are you from?

Since when have you been in relationship?

Which petition are you applying for?

    SAME SEX COUPLES HERE!!!!

Already married and living together in USA. He's from Argentina I'm from Mexico. WE had been together since 2010, I entered as K1 and now applying for AOS.

  6. Now in Houston and getting ready for OUR WEDDING and more paper work!!! yahoooooooooooooo!!!!

FYI: Bring your vaccination records from your country. You are gonna need them when filling form I-693.

I'm glad to report back we got APPROVED!

We took a little heat at the Juarez consulate but I think it was a combination of the officer she got and the fact my fiancée has 2 boys... but when you have nothing to hide, there shouldn't be a problem.

    Love wins!

Case status updated on Thursday to Visas Issued!! They should arrive next week and she'll be in Cali with me for Memorial Day Weekend!!

    CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Congratulations :-)

    Have you guys been approved???????

  7. Sounds like it went very smooth! Congrats again! This process indeed is a test of patience but in the end it's all worth it!

I'm still waiting for NVC to receive my case from USCIS and assign a case number so I can start the DS-160 and schedule my fiancée's interview :) I'll keep you posted here :)

Ok!!! Good luck with everything!!!! Hope that everything goes ok with ur case!!!!! And please let us know about ur final results!!!!! Im sure everything is gonna be fine!!! Keep in touch, and maybe when I get to the USA we can meet so we can celebrate together with u!!!!

  8. It went very smooth. I got there at 8:15 and by 9:30 I was done. Literally, the consul only asked me for my fiance's name, date of birth, how when and where we met. She also asked me if I had been in the USA before, for how long I stayed, if I ever had any Issues with the police or immigration. And then she typed for 30 seconds on the computer, and that was it!!!! Then she told me my visa was approved, and welcome to the USA!!!!! However, I saw other couples who had a lot of issues with the interview. I guess it depends on your case and how nice or mean the consul is !!!!! Good luck to everyone. It was a stressful process but I guess at the end it was worth it!!!!!

OMGosh I was just looking for this thread to ask how it went!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! How did it go, what did they ask? Cuenta, cuenta hahaha

Please lemme know about ur interview!!!! Do u already have an appointment date?????
