NEVERMIND! I figured it out. You have to click "New Appointment/Schedule Appointment" and simply follow through it. It threw me off, since I already have an appointment set.

In the upper right hand corner, there IS an option to update "Update Profile" and I was able to put my wife's phone number, address, etc in there. But when I click submit, it just brings me back to this "Dashboard". 

Also, none of those links in the squares work. I click on them, and they dont do anything. 

Also, what is a DS-160!?

It says in the pre-interview checklist... that we need a Confirmation page from our online registration of a delivery address for returning the passport and documents after interview. 

We did register on the linked site in the PDF... but when I put in her address, there was no "Confirmation page". It brought me back to the "Dashboard". Also concerning about this particular site... is it also has options for "New Application/Schedule appointment"

I'm really confused what all that is about. We already received our Interview letter for December 3rd. Why does this have an option for a "New application/Schedule appointment"?

Our Case was Documentarily Qualified on 10-24-2018
We received our Interview Date Email on this last Tuesday on 11-13-2018

Our Interview Date is 12-3-2018

My wife and I decided not to change her last name, because we didn't want to make our filing more complicated. We figured trying to get her last name changed in the Philippines would likely be a huge hassle, because even getting married took a lot of... difficulty in terms navigating the local bureaucracy 

How difficult will it be, for her to get her last name changed to my last name once she arrives in the US? What would be involved? 

Her interview is on December 3rd. 

My wife doesn't have any Vax records and can't get them. Also, she doesn't have any medical records of any kind for any past illnesses/injuries. She never really had any serious illnesses. 

I know that they provide the vaccines at Bumrungrad. But I dont know if we need an explanation letter, or something to explain why my wife doesn't have medical records?

We just received our interview date, December 3rd. 

We need to schedule our medical exam. According to BNK-Bangkok.pdf, we need the interview letter. 

What letter is this referring to? Is this the email we received from the NVC, notifying us of our interview date? A physical letter we will receive?

it doesnt affect the income. 

My enrolled agent's tax software recommended that "NRA" Be placed in the spouse name field of the 1040 with the w7 having the name reflect her real name. And that is how we sent it.
We are not sure why the tax software recommends that, but apparently the IRS didn't like it.

My concern, is that with only less than 3 weeks away, what if the correction doesn't get accepted in time? IE Because of mail delay, processing times, etc

So we already submitted our 1040 with all the other financial documents for the NVC. Problem is, we've just been given an interview date... and I also received a letter from the IRS requiring a correction on our 1040. The correction has been made, and we are about to send it out with the correction, today.

Our interview date is on December 3. Is this likely going to cause an issue? I will make sure to make copies of the 1040, so she can take it to the interview. 

We finally got our interview date!!!! December 3rd 2018! 

Case completed October 24th. 
Received our Interview date notice on November 13th (Today).
Interview date is December 3rd 2018.

Anyone know if the NVC continues to process things on the Weekends? Is it a waste of my time to check on the weekends?

Still have not heard from NVC re: interview date for my wife. It has been 15 days since Documentarily Qualified. Should I call the NVC for a followup?

So you basically just answered your own question lol. If you do leave the job without having a new job, just have evidence of assets in lieu on hand for the embassy appointment.

 

Also details can change quite rapidly on documents in the space of a few months. highly unlikely it’ll be an issue though, best of luck. 

I'm not planning to quit until I have my hands on another solid job offer. 

My concern is whether it hurts our chances at the interview? If the Embassy has my forms that say "Works at ABC Corp" and they ask my wife where I work... and she says "XYZ Inc".... that would cause an issue, no?

Co-Sponsor!? Why would I need a co-sponsor? We already passed the NVC stage... and I meet the income requirements even without the promised raise. 

Besides, even if I needed to do that, I'd just use my house (Assets in lieu of income). I own a $120,000 house that I only owe $7,000 on.

My employer has been lying to me, and my fellow coworkers about a pay-raise we were promised. Long story short, we haven't received the raise we were promised. I'm not some entitled leftist who thinks I'm entitled to a particular pay rate... but I *DO* believe I *AM* entitled to a raise I was promised. I am sick of being disrespected by my employer in this way.

Unfortunately, I don't feel free to seek employment elsewhere... because if I get another job... my wife will be asked about what company I work for... and it won't match what the Embassy has written down in my file. Should I simply wait until my wife gets here? Its just that there are plenty of opportunities out there, and I want to start looking for a different job now. 

ETA: So you don't have to check my timeline, we're currently just waiting on an interview date to be given to us. 

Does NVC work around the clock? Or do they only work part of the day?

The reason I want to know, is so I know how often to check the CEAC site. Basically I check it several times a day... and I figure I might just stop checking after a certain time if they close. 

My Case became Documentarily Qualified on the 24th of October. It still says the case is at the NVC on the CEAC site. Is that normal? How am I supposed to keep track of the progress?

The CEAC site still shows "Your case is currently at NVC"

But it was Documentarily Qualified on the 24th. Shouldn't it show something different by now!???

Why does it not say "IN TRANSIT"? What are we supposed to be looking for as far as updates?

So since my case was Documentarily Qualified on the 24th of October, how long should it be to expect to hear from the NVC regarding an interview?

Our documents were "Documentarily Qualified" on the 24th of October. How long will it take to get a notice of Interview date?

Is our case becoming "Documentarily Qualified" the same as "case completed"?
