Just wanted to give an update that, I received my approval letters on Saturday December 17 and to my surprise I received my greencard in the mail just 6 days after my interview. I was so shocked and happy at the same because they had said 2-3 weeks and I saw a lot of people waiting for Thiers with different time periods. I guess this is my final update for a while. I do wish you all the very best on your journey.

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I have been on here or even posted but I just wanted to give an update on what has been happening since my last update.
Had my interview on December 13 at 8am at the Boston office, got their around 7:35am and thereally was already like 30 persons there already waiting. Me and my wife basically sat around until 8:12am when they finally called my name.I was told that they would speak to my wife first then would come and get me after by the lady that would be conducting the interview so my wife took all documentations and went. What seems like a forever wait came to an end around 8:40am when I was called into the room.
To my surprise all the questions I was expecting to be asked never were.
When I got inside the room she was basically talking to my wife about her brothers and their kids. When she turned her attention to me she was basically saying that she did not see any real evidence of us really living together or joint proof of anything. I had only brought with me computer print out for a credit card I got and put my wife on it as a authorized user, my 401K beneficiary page, car isurance where she is covered under, ultrasound pictures of our baby since she's pregnant and that's it, she made a big deal of me not being on the least. She then asked why my wife stopped work and in the middle of my response she was like "no, you guys muse have spent all night rehearsing this" because we were giving word for word answers. I was like we have spent all this time together mostly being I side so what else do you expect, we know each other inside out. She made a fuss about and then moved onto something else and basically went back to saying that she just could see it then she went through the standard yes and no questions and then she looked at me and was like "I don't know why I am approving you because theresults lack of evidence and all that, but I am gonna approve you" I was like thank you very much. For about the next 8 minutes she kept repeating that same line.
The interview in total lasted about an hour, didn't get out of the office until 9:18am. I asked my wife what they talked about and my wife said just mainly her family especially one of her brother's that has kids and I
Is currently locked up, and they barely asked about my family, asked about our apartment and which days the garbage is collected and the funny thing is I was never asked none of those stuff, we weren't even asked how we met. Ohh I was asked about my previous travels to the USA and who I came to see and why I left my job and decided to stay here but those were just quick questions which she didn't spend a lot of time on. After which she took my EAD card and put it a zip lock bag in my file and told me that I would be getting my green card in the mail in 2-3weeks but there might be a delay with mailing because of the upcoming holiday so I should be mindful of that. I asked if I wasn't getting my EAD card back she said since I am getting an upgrade, I just ok and we left. She did howevery say that in 2 years time I will have to come with more solid evidence. I didn't receive a I551 stamp in my password and I didn't ask, seems like that is not so common any more unless u have a good reason for it.
My online status did not change until the following morning around 6am when I got two emails saying that I was approved for my I485 and I130 since I am adjusting from a B2 visa and then around 9am I received two text messages as well.
So I am just waiting to see how soon it comes in the mail and I will continue to keep you guys posted. I feel like my experience with my interview was a bit weird but I am glad for the outcome at least me and my wife can get a break from all this paperwork. Wishing you all the best in your interviews as well.

Just to let everyone know that I just received my EAD in the mail. Just a bit of information that I noticed. My online status has been stucked on Card mailed to you for 3 days now and I see other people getting updates such as USPS picked up your card and card has been delivered.
No two cases are similar because I was not expecting it today since I never got those updates, so for the persons who have already received their approval letter in the mail and your USCIS status says card has been mail you should be receiving it any time soon. Also I only just received my approval letter yesterday in the mail.

Requested to have my Ead to be expedited based on a job offer on August 3, 2016 and finally received an email last night that it was approved and card is in production. Happy to know that I will soon be working finally.

So glad we are all getting to see something , i agree if 45 days passed just make a call even though i did not,,,,,,,,
Another thing is the 45 days counted work days only { mon-fri } or every day { sun-sun }
Any idea anyone
It seems as its counted as every day Sunday to Sunday because I counted weekends in my calculations and the rep I spoke to when she checked my case she responded with "yes it has been over the 45 days mark" so they do count weekends.
-
I envisage it is just coincidental and probably shouldn't succumb to a post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy . After all, the reason we are calling is because it has taken a while for an initial update and are roughly around the same stage (in terms of days).
Even do it really does not hurt to give them a call. At least you will have sn update
-
I had almost the exact same experience today- I got a Tier 2 call scheduled by the Tier 1 agent, and then a couple of hours later today everything appeared. Perhaps coincidental, as I also phoned on Friday and was able to speak to a Tier 2 agent then (and nothing happened on my case afterwards, until today).
Simon
I am wondering the same thing as well because I been checking my numbers at least 4 times a day since I got them and nothing showed up and all of sudden I call and barely 5 hours after they all work. It's just crazy but I am glad I am able to see something now.
-
Just to let everyone know, if your case as already pass the 45 days mark and your still unable to check your MSC numbers then it really does help to call customer care. I got so frustrated with not being able to check my case online so I called around 4:15 and spoke to a tear 1 rep and she eventually opened a service request but I just decided to check my numbers online once more before bed and I was able to add all three of my numbers to my USCIS account. I would advise persons to just give them a courtesy call and see what happens.

I'm anxiously waiting for my case numbers to work at the USCIS website. It's been exactly 52days since they got my application for AOS, EAD and AP and until now i haven't heard anything from them. (refer to my signature for my timeline)
I know it's normal to wait more days to call but i notice those who filed later than me have their case numbers working. I'm not so sure if i should call them too 'coz some says there really is no point in calling them.
Is there anyone here in the same situation as me? Hopefully we can get each other updated and hear good news asap.
Thank y'all.
You are not alone. My PD is June 7 and none of my MSC numbers still don't work. I called a few hours ago about it and all they could tell me was that if I haven't received any RFE or anything like that after doing my Biometrics then there should be nothing wrong and all I have to do is wait. The rep did say however that they have a heavy work load and things are moving slow and the tear 2 reps weren't taking any more calls for the day so the best that she could do was to open up a service request and I should expect a call back in 3-5 days. So I guess we just have to be a bit more patient.

What fields do I put the address in on I-129F and G-325a.
Lewis Town District
Calabash Bay P.A
St. Elizabeth
Jamaica
Which would be the street name, city, province?
The street name is Lewis Town District
City is Calabash Bay P.A (Basically like the town you live in?
Providence would be St. Elizabeth (Basically just like the state your living in)
And you should already know the country is Jamaica.

Hey everyone, just a quick update that I did my biometrics today in Rhode Island, staff was very friendly. I was in and out in roughly 10 minutes.
-
Hey guys, I'm a little late to the party but I just wanted to say that I also filed for my husband's AOS/EAD/AP in June, and so far we have received the 3 NOA hard copies, we mailed the package June 13th and received the letters in the mail on June 25th I believe. Now waiting patiently for the bio-metrics letter, anyone else here from Boston?
Hey pochemuchka, I am not in Boston but close enough. I am in New Bedford and the ASC office that I have to go do my Biometrics is in Rhode Island guess that one is close to me because I thought it would have been sent to boston.
-
Why thank you! And as you can see I've updated it already soooooo...you can pretty much count that it will be updated daily as updates come up on the thread. Can't promise I'll physically click on everyone's username to see if the timeline itself is updated
....I think I would be a bit crazy if I did that. But let's face I check them anyway so if I do and I see an update that hasn't been posted on the thread I'll slap it on there
Yes I think I've reached insanity lol
Hey vpalermo85 just to let you know, I am adjusting from a B2 visa.

Finally Biometrics letter arrived today!
Appointment date July 5th!!! Yei!!! :joy:
So happy to see so many positive updates on everyone here. Let's hope the ones still waiting for NOA1s and Biometrics letters get theirs soon.
(L)
That great that you finally got your letter lol and we have the same biometrics date. I might try to do a early walk in because I am not sure I will be available that day. Hoping for the best.
Has any of the June filers able to check their status online with the receipt number?
I am still unable to check my case status online.
-
I don't think it would. The biometrics appointment is only for the i485 and the i765 anyway. (You can check in your letter that's the receipt numbers they have there)
Thanks and I definitely will be mailing it off by Monday.
-
You can do it as soon as possible, follow the guides and don't forget to include a copy of your i485 receipt.
Thanks P-Ana for your reply. I am just trying to figure out if submitting it on Monday would cause a reschedule in my Biometrics date which is scheduled for July 5?

Just a couple quick question. I chose not to file an I-131 application for AP because I honestly did not see the need for it before 1 year time but based on recent developments I may need to travel before that. My questions are:
1. Would applying for AP now since I received my Biometrics Appointment date today delay the process?
2. Should I wait until after doing my Biometrics to apply for AP or should I wait until after my EAD is approved?
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Feeling happy that I finally received my Biometrics Appointment letter, counting down the days.

Hey everyone, happy to see that everyone is starting the process or have already started.
I received my NOA's by emails on June 14 and received them by mail today so hopefully I will receive my Biometric letter soon. Wishing everyone a speedy and successful journey.
-
Haha. I wouldn't mind either. I will take any good news or good progress from USCIS at any time of the Day or night.
Will see which one they use. I put mine first - haha.. Hopefully they use mine if they choose one only.
Lol I know exactly what you mean. Well hopefully you do get your confirmation by tonight or tomorrow because our days are off by just 1 day. Hopefully they do use the one that you want lol because I just used my wife's email address on the G-1145 so I gotta be checking her emails lol.
-
Yea but I didn't mind one bit lol. I don't think it should be a problem, they might just only use the first one that they see.
-
Thanks Miki28, and hopefully you should since our dates are only different by day. I was surprised that the email came in like almost 12 am but definitely glad that everything was ok with the package. Wishing you all the best and hopefully everything is going great with yours.
General FAQ: Filing for Adjustment of Status
in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas

Hi everyone, i am seeking advice for a friend. She and her two kids came to the US about a month and a half ago on vacation and her then bf (who she had met 7 months before on a previous vacation) proposed to her and now they want to get married but she is worried about how it may look to USCIS even though it wasn't pre-planned.
Q1. If she decides to stay and get married and file for AOS can she filed AOS for her kids at the same time or would that need to be done after she gets her greencard and will they be able to attend school during the waiting period?
Q2. would it be a wiser decision to get married and then return to her home country then proceed with consular filing process?
Any suggestions and opinions that is within the legal sphere will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
