    Good morning,

To those who took their Oath in this office, were they strict with not having anyone with you inside?  My husband is hoping to be a part of it, and we got 2 small kids, too.  If not, they would need to stay in the car again.  During my interview, the letter said no one is allowed but me, but I saw several people with either their spouses or whole family with them in the waiting room (I observed only one person is the interviewee from those groups).

Thanks in advance for the responses.

No one else was in the hall with us...the only extra people I saw in the waiting area were persons who had interpreters for their interviews. Hubby and 2 kids stayed in the car and they came out after I was done so we can take pics outside the building. The whole thing lasted 5-7 mins( the majority of that was for all of us verifying the information the certificate is correct and handing over green cards) less than 20 of us at my time. We then recited the oath and left.

I gave interview on 16th feb 2021, Since than my status is in waiting for oath ceremony, not yet received notice for oath date.

Anybody has idea how long it takes to schedule for oath ceremony?

It depends on location I’m guessing. My interview was on Feb 21. Had to submit one document I forgot to bring to my interview. On the 9th of March my status updated 3 times from approval to in line for oath to oath scheduled at about 4pm that same day. Next day I was able to view the ceremony date

Yeah - not surprising. I remember right before previous elections, Naturalization was prioritized to allow as many people to vote as possible, but we know that immigrants are not good for the aspiring dictator so it was to be expected...

I'm happy for everyone who's looking at the end of the tunnel! My field office is still scheduling October 2019 filers so I'll likely have President Joe Biden's signature on my naturalization certificate - which is my silver lining throughout the wait lol...

My interview is one day post inauguration...woohoo 😅

I went up second floor for interview. The oath wil be held on first floor. One thing that i want everyone to have is Quarters  to park on street otherwise pay $20 for fully day parking. It won’t take more than 2 hours. It costs a quarter for 15 minutes.
as soon as I entered, i went through full screening.  I was asked the following questions:

    1. Who is the commander in chief of the military?

    The President

    2. When must all men register for the Selective Service?

    between 18 and 26

    3. The federalist supported the passage of U.S. constitution. Name one of the writers?

    James Madison

    4. What is the name of national anthem?

    The Star-Spangled Banner

    5. There were 13 original states. name three

new york, New Jersey and Pennsylvania

    6. Name one branch or part of the government

    congress

i was told to read “who was the first president?”

i was told to write “ George Washington was the first president”

i was told to write it all on ipad, pen wasn’t needed at all. It will be required in oath. Very nice staff.

other than that, i wasnt asked to show any documents besides green card, passport and driving license. She verified all the addresses that i have lived during three years. She went over section 12 ‘s yes and no questions. She told me that most likely, oath will be on November 6; got to wait for its letter

hopefully, it helps others who are waiting !

    Thank you and Congratulations 🎉

  5. I’m convinced it’s pointless to contact Uscis...I messaged them and this was the response I got below.

Requesting information about your N-400, Application for Naturalization.

Our system shows that your N-400 application, which was filed approximately January 25, 2020, is pending and is within our current processing time. To determine current processing time within USCIS:

    • Visit https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
    • Select N-400, Application for Naturalization, from the Form dropdown
    • Select the Field Office processing the application from the Field Office dropdown
    • Click “Get Processing Time” link

If your receipt date is before the Case Inquiry Date, you can submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online.

Got an email notification from USCIS this morning that an action has been taken on my case. My online account now shows that my interview has been scheduled. The documents tab does not have the letter yet...but their note does say it will take a few days for it to show.

Hang in there guys...there finally seems to be some movement for naturalization cases in the Philadelphia office.

    Applied end of Nov 2019.

    Omg Finally! That’s great news
