We filed EAD and AOS together and posted out by same envelop,filed (a)(9) for EAD. Did we made a huge mistake now?

you filed for both EAD & AOS AND filed a(9)??

I am K3 visa holder who arrived US 1 month ago.

If our response to question 16 is (a)(9),should we mail our EAD application to USINS P.O.Box 721.Chicago.IL 60680-7218?

As if the answer is YES,we mailed the EAD to USCIS P.O.Box 805887,Chicago,IL 60680-4120 together with the AOS ! Anyone know what will happen if we mailed to a wrong address? Thanks a lot

HI ALL, HERE IS MY SITUATION. MY WIFE JUST GOT DENIED HER CR1 VISA INTERVIEW IN CHINA TODAY. THE REASON: HER POLICE REPORT WHEN SHE STUDIED IN LONDON HAS EXPIRED THE 1 YEAR LIMIT. WHEN I STARTED THE CR1 VISA PAPERWORK IT TOOK 1.5 YEARS BEFORE SHE GOT THE INTERVIEW TODAY. I DON'T THINK IT IS MY FAULT THE POLICE REPORT EXPIRED. IN ANY CASE, IF ANYONE HAS ANY EXPERIENCE, CAN SHE GET AN UPDATED POLICE REPORT WITHOUT GOING TO LONDON? IF YES, PLEASE ADVISE THE STEPS NEEDED. THANK YOU!!!

Hi,tigerfortune,sorry about your visa.

I used to study and worked in UK years too,so i got a non crime record from london in hand as well .But as i know,it doesn't have any expire date. Maybe you can request the Subject access form from local police in UK again,it takes 40 days to delivery you a new police record. Hope this help.

I called NVC yesterday morning, and was told they'd just received my file from CSC that day.

Today I got an email from NVC, answering my email of last week:

Good Afternoon,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

As part of the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001, there are additional security check requirements for visa applicants. While it is not possible to predict when the clearances for this case will be finished by all involved Washington agencies, please be assured that as soon as the results are received the NVC will be able to schedule this case for an interview at the assigned US Embassy or Consulate General. As soon as an interview is scheduled notification will be sent to the designated agent by mail.

I then called NVC. They said our file is undergoing additional administrative review.

Questions:

1. Is the GUZ number what people refer to as the "NVC number"?

2. If so, does that mean we're done with NVC?? The email sure doesn't sound like it.

3. What is "additional administrative review"? Any idea how long it takes?

Interview went smooth, but was detailed. Following questions were asked:

When did u get married?

What does your husband do?

Where he lives?

What does he do in spare time? (She said I read books)

What kind of books he reads?

Does he tell u names of books?

They did see wedding pics. and call records.

Having seen call records the CO (in my wife's words, "a very young white girl") said welcome to the U.S., You will your visa in three days. She also suggested that my wife leaves for U.S. as soon possible. (My wife is now, MASHA ALLAH, 5 and a half month pregnant). She told her to leave right away cuz airlines will give her peoblems if 7th month started.

I am in the same situation with you. I used to work in China and asked for visa interview to be held in Seoul as I planned to resign from work in the original petition. However, NVC still assigned my petition to GZ because of the beneficiary's address in the original petition. Now, I requested to have Seoul Embassy to ask for visa transfer from GZ but GZ has not even received the packet yet. I was told the packet is in the Custom and I think GZ is the only place that the packet needs to go through the custom as others go to the consulate directly. It doesn't make sense to me.

If you want to have your interview in GZ, you need to send a request letter and a letter from NVC or the copy of email from NVC to GZ and GZ will request the Visa transfer to London. However, it looks like GZ takes forever even to get the packet in the mail. You may want to do the interview in London and I believe it is much quicker.

Hi,theresa,i was just about to send u a message,as i noticed that we r having the same situation.We just called the lawyer,the lawyer told us that the interview place will have to be where we married(china),so i am afraid i can not do those things to request ... The lawyer said they will let us know once they change the address..I wish they can change the address b4 they send out to london.Anyway,this is really very annoyed.I hope that they can sort it out.

Is there anyway for u to go to interview at china at all? I think it may take 1 week time to arrive china from korea? Anyway,good luck to u,i am sure everything is going to be fine

You answered your question partly, you stated that your last address is London so that is were they would send the petition and plan on interviewing you, not Guangzhou China. The consulate letter may have a GZ number due to their doing a name check in China.

The question is where would it be more convenient for you to interview, London or Guangzhou? If you are now in China then contact the London office and see if they can transfer the case to Guangzhou.

My understanding is that the embassy/consulate was decided on where the marriage happened.

Hopefully others with better information will add to this.

God,today is my day! I am so happy!!!!!!! I checked online as usual, my case was not available for last 2 months,BUT its available today which said case approved at 22 SEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw "I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)" word,is it also mean petition for spouse??? My first notice for 129 wrote that " petition for spouse" though.

Yes,we married in china as my parents wanted to have the wedding party in china,after wedding,i rushed fly back to london becoz of work and husband flied back to US,as he only got 1 week holiday off only,so we dont have time to take wedding pic. We took wedding pic at london when he visited me at london last time.Hey dip stick,Shame i am in china now,otherwise we can have a drink when u visit london at NOV!

Good for your Shakil, unfortunately that is not the case for every one. there were heaps of people that filed way before you and we all had the same problem Yuan is having. We were not able to track our case for an extreamly long time. We are just trying to reasure her not to worry as that happed some of us here on VJ with the K3 petition.

Hi everyone,can you beleive this??!! My hubby called the USICS yesterday,they explained to my hubby that its comman that can not track online for our case,even for 2 months...... Is this possible,does anyone have te same situation before? I thik 2 months is just too long .

Yuan I know its hard when I say don't despair. Lots of people on the forum had the same problems tracking their number. Does your recipt number start with MSC? Did you verify that your lawyer sent the paper work to the correct service center? For some reason there is a pattern for k3s. Its like they work on petitions and there is approvals left right for a week or so then.......it all goes dry for weeks. Im thinking that when they do approvals they also update recipt numbers and enter them into the system. A bunch of us were able to track our petitions online the week that lots of k3 got approved. Before hand we were also waiting for ages in the dark. I suggest you call USCIS your self. Lawyers wont do much for you unless you stay on their toes and even then calling USCIS is not the priority of their day. Its better to call your self and try and get some answers first hand.

Yes,my recipt number start with MSC,and yes ,our lawyer sent the paperwork to chicago where process K3.The first notice we got for K3 also sent by Chicago. My hubby will call it himself tomororw,i hope! I went to driving exam today(dont have time to talk to him yet),and i passed it!!!!!!! WISH the coming week is OUR WEEK!

It came out by the same message since 20 JULY till today! I dont know...,maybe we need to call and check with a immgration officer. We thought our lawyer will sort this out,so we never call ourself.Anyway,wish we can get get our apprpval notice before end of SEP,i really hope so!

Its not a good feeling that I even can not track the K3 case online,2 months now,still can not track online!!!!My hubby is going to make a call to them tomorrow to check how the case status is.Wish they will tell hubby some good news though It will def be the best birthday present for me tomorrow.

Libersolis, no worries about the time line I will keep it updated, trust me if there is any change you will know right away as I'm an avid USCIS status checker. LOL For a while I stoped checking but since we were getting touched so much for a few days I got hooked again on checking. As tracy said when she got her long awaited approval this has to be the start of something good! Hope we have our approvals and we move on to the next step before our trips!
