    hey everyone,

does anybody know how to bypass the AI when you call the 800.375.5283? my extension letter is expiring and i need another extension or stamp or something because my driver's license is connected to that letter. however, i am unable to talk to a representative because of the infuriating AI machine that answers all calls and just hangs up on you etc. Any ideas on how to reach to a rep etc? (I had managed to do it before and they even gave me a service # and told me an agent would call me in 7 days but it has been more than two weeks and no one has called that is why i tried calling again, but this time I couldn't pass the stupid AI)

    thanks

Send an email from your online profile "MyUSCIS" I did it and receive a called about a week after I sent the email.

Hi all - long time lurker here but just wanted to share a data point.

Wife filed for I-751 in July 2019 (MSC) and online status has been showing ready for interview since Jan 22 2020. Biometrics were in late 2019. Filed N-400 in July 2020. 18-month extension letter soon to expire in March so tried to create an infopass appointment for a passport stamp. As soon as we put in a request, we got a notification regarding interview date (I doubt the request for infopass drove the interview date but it was just two days after so pretty interesting). I wonder if they will still schedule the infopass for the green card stamp. Interview date is for March end. Will be interesting to see if they make the interview a combo. Will share updates if I get more.

    All the best to everyone!

    Notification for N-400 Interview?

If that is the case, same thing happened to me, had the N-400 interview, was approved and they adjudicated the I751 on the same day. I didn’t have a combo interview, t the end of the N-400 interview I was told that I751 would be adjudicated and approved in a day or two.

If you are getting citizenship through marriage, your spouse will not be allowed inside due to covid restrictions and they’ll conduct the N-400 interview without your spouse .

That was my experience , Had my n-400 interview February 3rd and oath ceremony is Feb 18th.

Wanted to share my experience since your case sounds very similar to mine.

    Good luck

Congratulations and thanks for sharing! Was it combo interview? Was you with your spouse?

My spouse came with me thinking it could possible be a combo interview, but he was not allowed to come inside. The IO didn’t even ask if he was there. My spouse waited for me in the parking lot. Some people on here have said that the IO asks for their spouse and to call them in. My advice , bring your spouse even if the notice letter doesn’t say to do so.

  5. Hello everyone.

I want to share my experience with everyone. I am in Denver and my N-400 application moved pretty quick.

I applied for naturalization while awaiting  approval for my I-751.

I-751 application was sent at the end of July 2019 and N-400 application was sent at the end of July 2020.

    Here the timeline for N-400

July 29, 2020 We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and mailed you a receipt notice.

On February 6 my I-751 was approved .

After my N-400 interview the IO said she had to adjudicate and approved the I-751 before scheduling the oath ceremony.

I will go to the oath ceremony on February 18th. I am so happy to be done with all this.

They didn’t let my husband in so no interview for I-751.

I hope I described my experience clearly but if anyone has questions I am happy to answer.

Again, I am in Denver and thing moved quick and the officer was friendly.

Good luck to you all, hang in there!

    Thanks :)

He asked if I had any additional documents to provide, and I handed over some extra mortgage and bank statements etc, but he said he has already reviewed my file and couldn't see any problems - honestly the I-751 was a formality.

No, the officer will guide you through that :)

Awesome some, thank you so much for keeping us updated and congratulations !

I`ll come back and give an update for everyone in case my experience is different (hope not.) I hope my interview is as pleasant and successful as yours.

I had my N400 interview today (in Denver) with same day oath ceremony and I'm now a US Citizen!

Officer was awesome and made it a fun experience

I had a pending I-751 so I my wife came with me but was not allowed into the building initially. When the officer called me the first thing he asked was if my wife was here, so I called her and he met her in the lobby and checked her in so we could take care of the I-751 first which just took a few minutes.

I did ask about the delay in I-751 processing and the office basically said these are the lowest priority cases as they don't affect your status while they are processing.

The biggest bit of advice I can give is - if you have an I-751 pending when you attend your N400 interview, always take your spouse and assume you will have a combo interview no matter what the interview notice says

Hang in there everyone, your time IS coming!

    That is awesome. Congratulations!!

    Hi

I am in a very similar situation, filed I-751 July 2019 and zero progress at all, no biometrics or anything

Filed N400 in June 2020 and my interview is scheduled for January 21st. My local office is Denver as well.

I have no idea if its going to be a combo or not, but my wife is going to come with me just in case.

I will let you know what happens, especially as I have my interview a couple of weeks before you.

I appreciate you. Please keep me posted.

    Good luck!

Hi, congratulations with some movement, at least for N400. No one knows answer about this...sometimes it’s combo, sometimes just n400 but some people in Facebook group reported that their 751 were approved shortly after N400 interview alone..I would bring your spouse with you and inform IO that she/he is here just in the case...

what is your field office for N400 please?

Field office is Denver.  Thank you so much. What`s the facebook group?

  10. Hello everyone, and happy new year.

My I-751 is pending, filed in July 2019. I filed N-400 in July 2020. My I-751 status hasn’t changed since December 31st 2019 (Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview)

Well, December 28th 2020 I received my N-400 interview notice (interview is February 3rd 2021)

My questions is, with my I-751 pending, would they do a combo interview or just the N-400?

    Anyone in a similar situation?

    Thank you!

    hello everyone!
so I submitted my application yesterday and I checked today and its says

    Estimated case completion time

    November 2020 (4 months)

    Estimated wait time:

    6 days

how accurate are these estimated times due to the pandemic? thanks in advance

Where did you check for that estimate?

I don't think I am going to use affidavit letters. I just collected them for my RFE for I-751 and don't want to do it again. If your other evidence is strong enough, it should be unnecessary.

thank you for your reply, I'll get them and save them in case they ask them for  my RFE.

  14. Thanks for creating the thread, my window opens July 15th. I do have a question regarding the application . Do you all think or are sending affidavits of bonafide marriage from friends and family with the N400 application ?

I had to send those affidavits for my initial application i-130, but didn’t submit affidavits for my i-751 (which hasn’t been approved)

Thank you, I will keep you posted when my application is sent.

Hi guys,i know this a little bit off topic but i didn't know where to ask.

I remember when i came on k1 visa that i do not qualify for any federal means tested benefits. But my question is: if i loose my job during the pandemic, do i qualify for unemployment? Or is it considered a federal benefit? My wife already lost her job and I'm the only one currently working. I was just curious what would i do of i loose my job and how would that affect my immigration status!!

Hey, I'm in Colorado and applied for unemployment on April 19th. If yiu are self employed yiu can apllied for state unemployment and unemployment through the PUA program. I am in the middle of my I-751 case and all I sent as proof of residency was my expired green card,  my letter of extension and my passport stamp. They accepted all that and I am getting unemployment benefits. This won't affect you as we are not part of the pjblic charge group of people who are getting affected.  Hope this helps

I filed for my wife's case about the same time as yours. My wife did her biometrics on sept 12, 2019. On 2/19/20 my her case status changed to "Case is ready to be Schedule for an Interview". I thought it went pretty fast so i came to check out visa journey to see if that is normal but i have seen a lot of people saying "it will take months until they schedule your interview". Today 2/26/20 i received another notification saying "On February 26th,2020 we scheduled an interview for your Form I751...." I wasnt expecting this to be going this fast (not complaining at all) but im outside of the country until march 5th. Hopefully i wont receive anything on the mail telling me we have an interview before then.... Also has anyone else have this type of case go this fast?

That’s awesome. Please keep us posted on your interview, questions and process. good luck
