I don't know which state are you in right now but try calling:
Atlas Shippers Intl
Covina, CA
480-610-4687
The cost is 115 dollars for macho box (24x18x24), 95 dollars for regular box (20x17x22). I have not tried sending boxes to the Philippines but a friend from CA told me about this courier company. You can call them for more info.

I'm in Maricopa (Pinal County), wondering if there is any Filipino community around =)

I share the same concern. Arizona ( where we are currently living) does not ask for an SSN however, Alabama (the state where Chris' family is thereby we're looking into having our wedding there) asks couples to provide a Social Security number as one of their requirements in applying for a marriage license.
Has anyone actually experienced getting a marriage license from a state that requires them to have an SSN, but obtained such license without presenting an SSN especially from the non-US citizen party? Please let me know. Thanks ahead!

....Made it to 44 on Igor's list...
Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On September 1, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
Guess pestering USCIS and contacting my congressman eventually gets things moving. Here's to hoping the rest of the process is a little smoother. I suppose this also stops my grumbling about this and that...for now

The last time I called USCIS to get an update I was told to call back in 17 days. Today was the magical 17th day.Who would have thought?! I called back today to find out that...
Type of service requested:-- Outside Normal Processing TimesThe status of this service request is:The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required investigation into your background remains open.Until the background investigation is completed, we cannot move forward on your case. These background checks are required to be completed on all applicants who apply for the immigration benefit you are seeking. We will make every effort to make a decision on this case as soon as the background checks are complete. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact us by calling our customer service number provided below. If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283Hmmm that's strange...This is the exact same thing I was told when I called 17 days ago...except now it's call back if I don't hear anything for 6 months. Really?! lol What a joke. I wish there was something I could actually do that would impact those that are complete ridiculous with this.
Is there somewhere I can call to understand what the delay is for in the background check part of the process?
Thanks

I have a buddy that completely got taken beyond what I can even imagine. I don't know how it happened as I he's not a close friend or anything. He did a lot of things on his part though that were very questionable. Needless to say he ended up finally getting his wife here. She got pregnant, had the baby, and moved back to Phils.
I had heard many stories and just know how things work and the opportunity to get taken is clearly there with things like this a bit more than normal.
All that being said, I never really thought about May doing anything remotely close to anything devious or having any alterior motives AT ALL.
She comes from a pretty well off family there. She had a decent job of course friends and the whole thing
I can't even get her to tell me when she needs something as it is =/ which really bugs me. I mean I understand from the culture and such that she may feel a little embarrassed or shy but I have to keep reminding her that we are way beyond that point with things.
Nearly 4 years since we started talking and it has never crossed my mind that she has any hidden agenda or intentions.
Now if USCIS would just hurry up so we can actually start our life together!

Woohoo! I changed lists....off to the "Still waiting for NOA2 from CSC K-1 I-129F up to 3 months beyond the CSC processing time (2009-03-15):" for me!
Maybe ours will show up in the mail too without being changed online. I stopped checking the mail regularly there for a while because it just got annoying not having an update while so many others were. Here's to hoping!
-
OMG OMG OMG! (Part 2)
NOA2 received!!!!!
Online system still says "pending" after 3 touches (and I never got an email from the system...I know it was touched only because I checked about every 4 hours!), but I have the NOA2 letter in my (shaking) hands.
I'm sure it's just coincidence that our file was sent for background checks in June but just happened to be approved 3 days after USCIS was contacted by my Congressman's aide!
Thank you all for your support, and for any other Marchers who haven't gotten an NOA2....contact that Congressman!
Not everyone does get a touch. my case went over 4 months without one. some ppl have been married for a year and their case still says "pending" online. unfortunately their online system leaves something to be desiredCongrats! Hope the remainder of the process goes smoothly for you both!

After my senator inquired into the case, they sent me a follow up email that said exactly the same thing. EXACTLY.
Our case was approved the next day. Hopefully the inquiry will speed things up.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Seems this is about the same as calling and getting the script read to me. Have read on here that several have gotten the exact same email as well. Hopefully the Congress rep calling actually got them to dust it off and actually look at it and get it into the process. We'll see.

CSC responded to the inquiry made by my congress rep with:
The processing of the case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that the case is not yet ready for a decision, as the required investigation into the background remains open. Until the background investigation is completed, we cannot move forward on the case. These background checks are required to be completed on all applicants who apply for the immigration benefit you are seeking. We will make every effort to make a decision on this case as soon as the background checks are complete. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 90 days of this letter, you may contact us.Is there a way I can check into the background investigation to see where it's hung up at or any way to check on it at all? Is there anyone that knows or somewhere on the net that actually shows all the things they check when doing a K1 visa? I know there isn't much I can do but I just wanted to see where it's hung up or even try to understand what part of the process is causing the delay. I mean, for all I know, CSC could have just sent it off and now they are throwing it on the people that do the background check saying they are delaying the process.
Thanks

A quick question, I have contacted a Senator for my state and will contact congressman tomorrow. Should I just send it off to each one of them or my particular congressman?
Thanks

What a complete joke. I called USCIS again today and was told the exact same thing, wait 17 more days and call back. Of course there isn't anything AT ALL they can offer in the way of information. I asked to even know if the process was started as far as background check or where about it is in the process. "Sorry we don't know." They also said I have not yet past the waiting period...that I have to wait 17 days to pass the 5 month period? Apparently I did not learn math the same way they did. When I asked why I was told to wait 17 days again which is the exact same thing I was told nearly a week ago...you guessed it...she had zero explanation. I have sent in a request to Senator McCain and will send one to each one of my congressmen tomorrow.
The process is a complete joke. Patience doesn't pay. Being nice doesn't pay. Trying to let the process work it's normal course doesn't pay. So, no it's time to pester the hell out of the if nothing else to let some frustration out. What's the worse that can happen? Oh what is it you say? Continue to wait? Appears that is the solution anyway so we shall see.
Good luck to those others that are waiting and congrats to those that have been approved already!
-
I have zero patience for things that are similar to these. During the waiting process there is not a thing at all that can realistically be done to get a real update. I called this morning, 5 Months to the day, and of course the woman on the phone brings out the script and goes on to tell me to continue waiting. I ask how long do I continue to wait, because I was told initially to wait for 5 months to pass. This time I was told well that is just kind of a sorta estimate, maybe. Was told CSC is working on Feb 15 so to just keep waiting.
Anyone have any remote idea on how long the process should realistically take? I mean, once they open the packet, how long could it really take to do all the necessary things needed to approve, RFE or deny the petition? The price was increased for what again? It obviously wasn't to increase the efficiency of anything.
They know they "have you by the balls" and ultimately can just do as they please. I guess we are just playing in their world and have to deal with whatever rules or situations they decide to set in the end. Increase the price to $1000? $2000? Ok sure, sign me up? after all what alternative is there? Increase the processing time to a year? Ok sure, sign me up. After all what alternative is there?
I guess I can almost begin to understand why there are so many illegals here locally. Really frustrates the hell out of me that like so many other things, those of us the do it the "right" way are the ones that get the garbage end of the deal. Should have just flown my fiancee to Mexico on one of my many vacations to Mexico and just brought her back over the border and dealt with it after that.
Done with the rant, until the next month of waiting goes by with zero explanation on why or how long. Good luck to all others waiting with this ridiculous process.

Add me to the list of no updates at all since March 4.
-
a touch is when you online case status date changes on the uscis site. doesn't really mean anything or it could mean alot. there is no way to tell. Some ppl who have been married for 10 months or more have never been touched and the date has never changed.
Yes I realize it means very little. Just was curious if the date would change on the main part of the site or I had to look elsewhere.
Thanks
-
Wish our case would get approved already. It's just silly to try to even remotely put reason to why this process should take anywhere near this long. How do I check for a "touch" Would it show on the Status search portion of the uscis.gov page or do I need to look somewhere else?
Thanks

I'm joining the group for March filers
Waiting on the NAO2 as well....early May sounds like a good time to get the NAO2.
Good luck to all!

You check "YES" and you provide the A# that should be on the first petition's NOA2 letter, unless you withdrew the petition before you got the letter.
And as result we just write withdrew? We never formally withdrew or anything because were told it wasn't necessary because they'd just drop the petition since we did not follow up on it.

I filed for the K1 nearly three years ago. Same fiancee and everything. Just had some things going on here that made us want to hold off a bit before going through with the process (new job and trying to find a new place to live). All that is squared away and have been at the job for a year now. Established in a new home and we are now ready to proceed with the visa. What do I need to put on question 11? What is the A# they are asking for? For result can I just put what I wrote here or is there something else that needs to be written? Would love to get this in the mail today. This is the only part I am not sure on though.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for all the replies. I assumed I had to go back again. I just wanted to ensure there was no way around it. I agree with what has been said though about being lucky to go back. I just wanted to start getting the ball rolling again. I guess the next trip will have to be sooner than I had planned

I have not seen my fiancee in slightly more than 2 years. How does this impact our packet?
-Thanks
You need to make another trip. Having met in 2 years is required and also the more trips you make are a plus for showing a bona fide relationship.
Hmmm no good on this one. So that's it? Guess I miss it by about 5 months to long haha. Go figure.
Thanks for the info
Your petition is already approved, so you must have met the requirement of meeting in person within the past two years. (at the time you filed the petition) Again, now your issue is showing a bona fide ongoing relationship. What evidence can you show at this time?
Yes it was approved (Back then if you look at the timeline) But we discontinued the process right before the medical exam in the process. We are ready to finish this up, which unfortunately for us means start the process over from what I have read. So since we are starting over it has been about 2.5 years since I was last there with her. Of course we have thousands of ongoing emails and such up to the present day but no proof of me actually seeing her in person within two years.
