    I am an American female, I converted in 2004. Do I need a certificate from an Imam here in the USA that I converted to Islam to get married in Egypt?

      But if you sent a k1 petetion, why are you gonna change it? They are quicker and you can marry in usa.

      I am already in Egypt, skipped that document, yes it is stupid! We got married yesterday, our process will change to K-3 says USCIS unless they have no clue also (which is possible) So when I get back I will file I-130, says USCIS and both cases stay open....I hope this is correct.....

      We have several red flags SOOoooo better to just get married and deal with them as they come.
