  1. Hello again guys,

    UPDATE,

So my now husband went for his interview and was approved. Thank God for this. He said he was not any major questions. So I want him to bring me some food from Ghana. Does anyone know what kinds of food and meat he can bring and what was the experience at the POE some you guys had?? Any ideas will help greatly.

Thank you all for the love and support you all showed me on this site and a big thanks to Visa Journey.

    God bless everyone

  2. Hello Y'all,

I need help with my I-130 petition. So after my K-1 petition was denied 3 weeks ago, I was advised by the embassy to file an I130 petition. I called the USCIS for advise and was told to file this petition and include a letter of explanation to it explaining exactly what happened to my previous petition but I just don't know where to start. Has anyone done this before and can someone please let me know how to start letter or say in this letter? Its just a very stressful situation. Also my man is not here in the country with me and therefore we don't have any bills or statements together. What other supporting documents can I attach to my petition apart from the marriage certificate, travel docs, WhatsApp chats, phone call logs and photos?

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you all

  3. Thank you all for your comments and input. Am very grateful for all the advise. So they told our congresswoman to go ahead and register the engagement and then file for I130. So that's what will be doing and am hoping this time it works out by God's Grace. What documents did people who have applied for this I130 added to their petition and were they present in the interview country? I sickle cell disease and its getting worse therefore I cannot travel. Can I speed the process of getting him here by adding my doctors notes to the petition?

    Please advise

    Thank you all again

  4. Hi guys so I filed for K1 petition for my fiancé and his interview was Feb 1 last Monday. Initially his interview date was March 30 but we worked with the congresswoman in out city to have the date expedited because of medical reasons so we got a date of Feb 1. He was not interviewed when he was called but rather the CO just asked two questions. She had one of our pics in front of her and asked my fiancé who they were and he said his of the family the next question was what did you present at the time of your engagement, and he said drinks money and cloths in our traditional custom. Then the CO said I have bad new for you because in your culture engagement is considered marriage and therefore she denied the petition and gave him a white slip reading 221g and the status on their system states Admin Processing" So the Congresswoman emailed them and asked why they denied the petition and they said because in Ghana, our traditional engagement in marriage therefore the K1 petition is denied and we have to file I130. Money and time wasted and the energy to even ask attorneys about this is just a nightmare. Has anyone gone through this before and how did they proceed?? Please advise

    Thanks
