  1. I'm not sure how expedited cases work, but I'm assuming NVC doesn't check for completeness of the paperwork anymore; they just send everything off to the embassy. Just make sure you have copies of all the paperwork you sent to NVC and of course the originals of the civil documents for the interview. Good luck! :)

    Thanks @Xmaricrisx :)

I was able to speak someone on the USEM Manila, they told me to wait for a correspondence from them. And told me to prepare the documents listed at the website though. Crossing my fingers :)

  2. Hi all,

I called NVC today after having received an email that they have approved the expedited processing of our case :dancing: . The agent told me to call back within the end of the week to confirm that the case has been sent already to USEM Manila. I asked, if they would be sending an email which states the interview steps . However he said no and that once the file has been sent out, we would be needing to be in touch with the embassy.

    Just a bit confused though.

    Thanks .. :)

  3. That's good news you don't need to call NVC they already forward your case to US Embassy Philippines, what you need to do is to check your visa status after 3 days if its says " Ready " it means they already received it. Then you can go now to https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ and create your profile then if you see there's an open slot for interview you can pick that date that's what I did on mine. Right now I didn't see any open slot for Sept. but I was able to schedule my children's interview on Sept. 23. Once you have your interview date confirmation then you can go and do your medical at SLEC.

That would great! Can I create my profile ahead of time or do I need to wait for my status to say "Ready" first?

  4. Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to share the latest development of my case. So last Friday I decided to write an letter of request to NVC to expedite our case mine (cr1) and my boys (cr2) . My main reason was, my husband was in the military few years ago and was diagnosed with depression and these period of waiting has triggered it more, sad to say. Second reason, was our children, after having received or approval last May, we decided to put off the enrollment just to save expenses. I prayed before sending the letter. (L)

August 29 , I got an email stating that they have received my request and is "under review" ; Just now August 30th I received an email, stating that :

The US Embassy Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forward to the USEM/Consulate General.

Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the US Embassy or Consulate General

The USEM may still request additional forms or fees at the time of your interview. Please be prepared to bring any missing forms and pay any required fees at the time of your interview.

Please note that it could take up to two weeks for the consular section to receive the case file once it has shipped from the NVC.

I'm so thankful and grateful for the ideas and knowledge this community has freely shared. (L)(L)(L)

Will be calling NVC tomorrow, when I wake up to ask what's the next step or thing I should do as I checked the website I still don't have the 3 N/A's.

  5. Hi I just did mine.. I emailed the NVC and request to expedite my case I'm doing IR2 for my 2 kids.. my reason is school, and were experiencing a lot of typhoon now in the Philippines and I haven't seen my kids for more than 3 years now.. After 3 days I received an email to NVC and they said the US Consulate in the Philippines accepted my request. After 2 days I received again an email from NVC stating they already send my case to consulate and if I do have questions regarding my interview processing I will call them. Now my case is ready on our consulate and waiting for the interview letter appointment hope this will help you..

    Hello,

Can I request to expedite my case while it is already with the NVC and still pending review?

  6. I know I'm really this --- >>>:cry::cry::cry: right now. Oh well, based on my record the NBI clearance was the last documents he sent out August 2 (my time since PI is a day ahead) But my goodness, August 16th? that is wayyyy toooo farrrrrrr from it.

The paralegal told me, we will have our interview this September (which I doubt) . I think he is just saying that to a peace my mind and just to get me off the phone :(

I'm really glad to have been part of VJ community as we are informed to what is really happening.

  7. I just called NVC and I was really surprised when they told me they received another mail from us last August 16??? I know my husband had a paralegal help him out with the paperwork but I was informed everything was sent out August 1 and August 2 respectively. But certainly not on the 16th :( omgggg this is so sad ; cant believe I would be needing to start counting again from the 16th as DAY 1 !!! :crying::crying::crying:

SOO I called the Paralegal he said, that it could probably be that NVC just opened the second mail last August 16th :cry::cry:

    This waiting is --- >>> :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

    Still hoping for the best.

  9. Congrats on your CC! You should receive a confirmation email next week... you seem to have just missed the scheduling dates for September (since the rep told you to wait 4-6wks for an interview), so you will get an October interview ;) They will not forward your case to the embassy until 2-4wks before your scheduled interview, so if you check the status of your case on CEAC it will still say "at NVC."

Hey you! :) I don't think my case is complete yet, lol  the lady rep gave me a date of August 1 and said that everything looks good. Not sure what she meant, but definitely mentioned for us to wait 4-6 weeks for the schedule. :clock: I'm assuming that is my scan date (August 1)?

As for the 3 N/A's ; here's mine when I logged in at CEAC under the ds260 link (is that the right place to check it out?) :dancing:

  10. Hello everyone,

My husband had mailed our documents last week except for my NBI clearance. You see, getting one here in the Philippines takes a month to schedule but I will have mine by tomorrow.

My question is, since we will be mailing that one particular requirement late than the rest, would it affect the case review processing time of 30 days?

    Thanks!

  11. Hey guys :)

So we finally got to start the NVC processing. I was just wondering if its possible to have the medical exam ahead of time even without the interview date yet?

OR we need to wait for the interview date for that? I thought of this because I have an upcoming trip to Manila this July, it would save me a plane fare though.

    Thanks!
